Martha Marcy May Marleene (or whatever) Was great. Stunningly shot. Kind of wish I hadn't seen the trailer every time I'd been to the cine in the last few months, as it had most the best scenes. Kind of felt slightly lacking in plot I guess, kind of how I felt about Take Shelter, you knew where it was going the whole time I felt. But the peromances / directing / atmosphere was great. Think I already mentioned this on here but Is spookily brilliant. Pretty stunning performance by whoever that actor is, amazing scene. As a side note, actually quite like the look of life in a commune thing for a year or something... or living in her sister (i think?)'s house on the lake. Aside from all the messed up shit, obvs.. Also saw The Descendants which I really enjoyed, even if looking back I'm not sure why. Thought his whoever played the older daughter was absolutely brilliant, nailed the role of child of a sick parent. Oh and finally Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Thoroughly enjoyable as an action romp. Thumbs up.

Just make sure ya don't lose yer next game for me eh... in fact a draw would be ideal... then lose to me next week... Yeah I was pretty surprised at that scoreline. Away against by far the best team in the league though, can't be too disappointed. I notice you have a forward playing midfield, can't help, even though he's got the play in any position attribute they're still not as good I believe. Got an away against Commerade as my last fixture of the season, eek.. Re: Development. I'm having the same issues, eg 24yr midfield who's been on good form all season and has played every game is only on 13dv. How does it work - is it roughly 14 means a jump, 19 a doublejump or something? Can you go up a bar with just 12 say? Oh yeah and re: not having enough money - you should have, a midfielder like Haden suggested would only be about 200k, which is nothing. You do know about sponsership oui? Unless you're piling money on win bonuses / form / youth academy, which is fair enough

Man of the Match. Real flat by Spurs there. Bored for 80 minutes, tense for the last ten. Adebayor was pretty rubbish in particular. Can't believe Gaz didn't score. And other obvious statements...

2 - 1 win away from home, moved into promotion placing! Must stay there. Next few fixtures I'm fairly confident with, DuD and Commerade as my last two fixtures could ruin it all though...

Bloody hell there's some good stuff on here! Love Eenuh's, obvs, and Yvonne's - first bit of his art I've seen I think. Lovely. You should flesh this out and do it as a t-shirt design on the ol' redbubble. Would sell alright I reckon. Same goes for this. If not I'll take your ideas and do it myself... haha. I definately don't have the time to do anything today, a shame. Might join in at the weekend...

Great results for the Winston Winners today. Clinical 3 - 0 away from home, no shots from fedex. More importantly the other results were what I needed. How's this for a promotion battle? Love it. Big old game away against Bubbles next week... not too confident about that one..

Surprised there's not more chit chat on here, most exciting day of the season!! ...yeah. Not sure why we've signed Saha... still hoping for a last minute rush... I do still love the 'my gran saw [player name] having breakfast at [insert airport]' on the blogs.

Baha sorry, I usually check I've got the spelling right but not on this occasion. Make sure you beat Rez next week..

Haha our opinions of him are opposite... loved Atonement, read a few pages of Chesil and decided put it down again, I think it was the prose style that put me off (I'll come back to it at some point). Anyway, got around to finishing Saturday today. Wasn't so thrilled with the ending, all the Baxter things I probably could have done without, which is odd considering it's the main plot of the book. I just thought the observations of the everyday were very well done. The anxieties of ageing are pretty evident, and almost definitely conscious, but I didn't think they felt laboured.
-
Yeah I was surprised at that scoreline. Like Haden said, apparently team play better the more they've played a certain formation? So a new formation they might not do so well in. I've got Fedex away next which I thought would be an easy win but perhaps not.. Did the double over Aqal1i, big win again! And now the inactive Rez has gone up to second place, pah. Very tight at the top! Bit worried about my development at the end of the season as half my players were ones I brought in mid-season... ah well.

The album is out today Can't figure out where she stands. Is it cool to like her? Is she a bit Adele? In any case, the album is fantastic, from first listen. Wanky lyrics but she has quite the voice, and the general feel of the album is pretty great... Also: What's with n-europe lite? Can't figure out how to do anything at the moment. not the right place to ask but I can't find anything on board news.

How did you get on? Bought that recently from a charity bookshop after a seminar tutor claiming it's Orwell's best book. -- -- Finished and highly recommend The Sense of an Ending, short but really interesting. Growing old, the way you look back on the past... really well written. On this at the moment For my 'Great American Novel of the year' fix. All about baseball, sort of. Couple hundred pages in, pretty enjoyable so far, coming from a non-baseball fan (as I presume most people in England / here would be). Oh yeah also read Which is bloody great. I'm up and down with McEwan but it's just incredibly well written, a study of a family man in London throughout a day. Reminds me of A Single Man in structure. Actually I've not quite finished it, got a seminar in a few weeks so saving it..

Spot on. Re: Rez - despite hardly playing his players have pretty high skill so he's fairly likely to get promoted this season... if he quits will the person who's 4th go up to the middle league?
-
This. I agree. I think films and Games are different, but in the case of music and TV shows, which have been for years available for free anyway (via radio and TV) and which have income anyway (from concerts and product placement ect) piracy's a different kind of issue. If 4od and other streaming services were up to date in their scheduling of shows I wouldn't pirate any TV, and in the modern age it's pretty ridiculous that shows should be running weeks or even months behing schedule.
-
Yeah, was wondering if he'd have to play with 2 defenders when that happened... would have been a much different scoreline haha. I assume that only happens when it's set to automatic subs though. Yeah definitely, I'd have been gutted watching that if I were you - red card, disallowed goal and a penalty... 2 - 1 would have been much more accurate as a reflection. Three at the back away from home though, as you say pretty Jenkins! Yeah the manager ratings is pretty nonsense. I got a five star the other week (I'm in another league too, might have been for that) despite losing by a couple of goals. And I've only had a player i the x11 like twice the whole season... hmprh. Wish I'd known what I was doing a bit more at the beginning of the season, early average results are coming back to haunt me!

Fun Factoid - The guy who run(ned) Megaupload is also the world's no.1 at Modern Warfare 3! What a fun fact. If the other industries sorted their lives out and caught up with Spotify I wouldn't pirate anything. I'm more than happy paying Spotify's £5 a month, love it, world brilliantly. Rarely pirate films, only if they're too slow coming to DVD and I missed them at the cinema / it's a shit film. And TV, but that doesn't really count, seeing as generally I'm only stealing off the evil empire that is Rupert Murdoch and Sky.

Top game against @Fierce_LiNk today - 4 - 1, got my revenge! Shame to see his man get sent off in the second half really, would have been a pretty cose match otherwise, a lot of chances for both teams. Next to see if I can do the double over Aqul1i Allstars on the return home...

Went there last summer for a few days before going on to Bratislava and Vienna. We arranged things incredibly last minutes so knew literally no Hungarian - wasn't a problem in the slightest, feeling guilty aside. Everyone there speaks enough. We stayed in a random Hostel which was nice but I assume you're going for a hotel. A few random recommendations: Margret Island is an Island toward the north of the city which is nice to spend a day on. The baths are definately worth a visit, there are a few to chose from.. Natural thermal heating and that. The trams are really good for getting around the city, though everything is pretty walkable. And the food is really good, fairly reasonably priced restaurants all over the place. We actually didn't find any but there are these things called 'ruin bars' or something which are basically hidden pubs, quick google describes them as 'ad hoc watering holes and clubs that spring up while condemned buildings wait to be razed -- straddle the lines between dancehall, pub, rock, folk, roma, disco, rave...in an unending and impossible to pin down moveable feast.'. If you're there for a while and you say you're renting a car I'd recommend having a day or two in Vienna, seeing as it's so close. Great city, lots to do. Not sure I can say the same about Bratislava, though it has it's charms.

Unbelieveable match. Couldn't believe it when Defoe couldn't quite stretch for a third. Great game, don't think we deserved to lose, such a shame, the league would be so very interesting right now. I'm not even that annoyed by the refereeing, though I might be watching the incidents again on MOTD later...

These are great! The above is my favourite. You getting paid for these gigs?
-
Mmm true - and in fairness half the time when I try and download shows from the site they're taken down within a few hours of being uploaded. Still, your analogy doesn't quite work because the majority of uploads to megaupload are, I would guess, illegal. I suspect the majority of downloads from the site are just illegal versions of TV / Music / Films / whatever. You could probably blame the bank if the majority of their safety deposit boxes contained guns or whatever.

Mega annoying. http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2012/jan/19/us-government-megaupload-piracy-indictment

Gutted! You completely destroyed me! Deserved win, called my formation and my playmaker, damn! Could not believe the disallowed goal, I was getting right excited. Thinking I prepared against the formation before you changed it... kind of guessed when I read your post last night but didn't change tactics... Tuesday! I will have my revenge! Also: Suiting up is a requirement for the draw if it happens!

They'll probably do the thing when they get round to showing it when it clears up at the awards. I'm surprised though, it's been promo-ed the hell out of where I live. Seen the advert for Martha Marcy May or whatever about 4 times now, each time it intrigues me more... Audio The song the guy sings in the trailer. Amazing. Again, this. I loved it. Occasionally felt a bit heavy handed in the bankers-are-shits message and I got slightly annoyed by the patronising way in which so many characters had to have things handily explained 'in plain english, as you'd speak to a labrador' or whatever (amusing line though). I guess it had to be done for the audience to have half a clue what was going on but y'know. Anyway. Cast was brilliant - the progression from bottom of the chain banker / Sylar right to the top was dona really well. Paul Bettany my highlight. Wonderfully shot, some of the time lapse shots of the city were great. Thought being set over 24 hours worked really well. Even though it was anti-banker though it did make me strangely jealous of their lives / living in new york / stuff. And nice to see Dan from Gossip Girl put in a solid performance! Ha. /Unrelated string of thoughts. Anyway great, see it.

Haha love all this!
