Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Jonnas replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
My most consistent evenings out of those three are Thursday's, really. If that day works out for anybody else, I might just take part. -
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

Ah, sadly, Friday evenings are tricky for me I figured, it'd be tricky to participate, anyway. I'll let you know if I ever get a free Friday, at any rate. -
Thank you very much for everything! Let's hope the upgrade goes smoothly.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

When do these sessions take place? Truth be told, Four Swords is one of the few titles I'd like to try online. -
I've only started watching since the 25th minute or so... This is a very entertaining game! This is also a Portugal I enjoy watching, much better than against Czechia. And lol, Rafael Leão got a second yellow for diving

By the way, this has been glossed over, but the addition of a "Monster Tamer" class/job is really exciting. I might just make a whole new party out of the oddball jobs.

For 60 minutes, it felt like the game deserved this soundtrack in the background. PT players losing the ball halfway through the attack, Czech players barely holding onto their own balls, some of the weakest corners I've ever seen from our team... We even got a Yellow for diving! What a world! Then it picked up proper after the Czech goal. Lit up a fire under every arse on that field. Much more enjoyable after that point. Don't really see us facing big hitters like France or Germany in this state, honestly.

The one that has a portable option Hmm... Tempting. Figures are really nice merchandise to have... But I hate the in-game rewards, I don't want to support that practise. I'll think about it.

I personally feel like the original order (1, then 2, then 3) makes sense, and builds into the most satisfying climax... But Horii-san asked really nicely to play it in this new order, so I'm okay with it.

That's fair. I want to see us play without Ronaldo, too That is how we won in 2016!

Elden Ring (25th February 2022) | Shadow of the Erdtree (21st June 2024)
Jonnas replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
Sorry to chime in with this old issue, but I'd just like to say that the verb "recapitular", in Portuguese, means "to review" or "to refresh [on a subject]". I believe this is also true in Spanish. It is possible that whoever wrote that tweet just assumed (or hoped) the word existed in English as well. Maybe it does, but nobody uses it! (Happened to me once, with the word "crepitar". Just went with "to crepitate" and then it turns out, it actually exists in English ) -
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection (6th September 2024)
Jonnas replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I just want Edgeworth to stop throwing away evidence during the middle of his cases I'd like changes to the writing as well, but I'm not holding my breath. -
I swear, if it's Camelot, I need to go back to the Direct thread and claim that prediction as well.

Lovely, lovely return for this amazing series! Who's developing it, though...? Good-feel?

I really like DQ1, and I believe DQ2 has a lot of room for improvement. Looking forward to see what comes of this!

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (26th September 2024)
Jonnas replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I am so happy that Zelda finally gets to be the protagonist! Considering the freeform, almost Minecraftian nature of the Echo Wand... are you sure about that? Just messing with you, I think they're following the LBW formula, really. -
Ace Attorney Investigations Collection (6th September 2024)

Guess this means I'm replaying AAI, huh? That's fine, it's got some excellent music. *fingers crossed* Please fix the issues I had with that game... -
Looking forward to seeing another classic FF spiritual successor!
-
I consider this to be an absolute win.

These were already true for the original. There's stuff that only happens at night, baked into the plot and/or quests. Mini Medals were already there for the GB version, too. And coffins are a delightful bit of silliness for this series. It's likely that nighttime brings about more significant visual changes, though.

What a wild ride they took me for. My general thoughts as I was watching: Mario & Luigi! So happy to see this series again! Fantasian, yes! Going on my wishlist for sure! MIO looks interesting. Will be keeping an eye on it Huh, Hiro Mashima's art style made it to two titles in this Direct. Amusing. DRAGON QUEST!!!!!! funko pop A new Metal Slug game was announced and released before Tactics came out. That's funny Excellent additions for the NSO Never played Phantom Brave before. Looks fun I cannot stress this enough: the resurgence of Marvel vs Capcom is absolutely mindboggling. Never in a million years would I predict this. Mario Party keeps getting new games, but never DLC, huh? 2D Zelda Zelda wins the entire fucking year!! Stray! What a lovely surprise! Ace Attorney Investigations!! AAI2 is finally in English!! The series is finally complete!!!! On Switch! New SaGa remake? That's pretty cool. I should explore that series at some point. I take it that Metroid Prime 4 is destined for Switch 2, huh? Looks stylised, looks interesting! Very happy that the series keeps going strong! EDIT: Also, Yuji Horii looks like a wholesome human being. I wish him well.

The fact that an MvC collection got announced (seriously!!!), and it somehow wasn't the hypest thing on the show, is absolutely unbelievable.

2D ZELDA!! You play as fucking ZELDA HERSELF!!
