  1. Anyway, that's massive, well regardless of your feelings of them (although it would be strange to have 100% negative feelings against Nintendo on this site), looks like they've hit the traget audience well, so props to them, and the train does not look like its slowing down. More consoles will shift when games like Galaxy, Corruption, Brawl and Kart hit for the audience thats been around longer. More consoles will hit when the likes of Wii fit, Animal Crossing etc come out for the newer audience. EDIT: And Caris, have you disposed your Wii?
  2. Ha ha, I love that image. From what I've seen, I really like the look of this. Didn't get the first game, but I sure did like it. Might pick it up on the cheap when I get this!
  3. Hhhhhmmmm, this thread is about what individual people dislike, so there's really no need to combat what someone else says. And with that, I say GTA proudly, and it's not like I haven't tried to get into them. There's probably more (might not be actually, my taste is surprisingly wide and varied ), but that is the series of games that I have the strongest feelings against.
  4. Ha ha ha!! I agree with your whole post!
  5. IGN Australia had a hands on with this, another glimmering response: http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/807/807525p1.html Don't remember the last time I've seen such praise for a game from so many different sources.
  6. Wow Ant-Shimmin, that's some strong feelings against the Hammers. My cousin is devastated about what's happening to Leeds, he's jus trying to ignore football altogether now (which isn't going to happen). On another note, Arsenal have lost another long serving player with Freddie Ljungberg: http://msnsport.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=478286&cpid=8&clid=3&lid=&title=Hammers+confirm+Freddie+deal He may not have been the player he use to be, but I think for someone who has spent almost 10 years with us, and after everything he's done, we should have kept him, and it saddens me because he was our longest serving player. Well, here's a salute to you Freddie! Oh and a quick question for knowledgable football heads, is Freddie still the only player born outside Bristish shores to score in two FA Cup finals?
  7. Well I never owned Tenkaichi 2 either, but I know it was really good (except the controls weren't as easy as they bragged about) but with them refining that, online, widescreen (that should be given this time right!) and a serious DBZ fan, this is definately on my list to definately get!
  8. Whoops, ~I didn't realise it said "not", just kinda posted due to the excitement, nevermind Wait, hold on, having read into that, it doesn't seem clear how they meant it.... ah whatever, they mentioned it in some form which I guess is complimentary enough.
  9. OK, it's a large bit to quote, considering you can go to http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3161079 to see all of the preview, but 1up seems to be loving this game to the max. Hardly a bad word about it (accept a little more control over camera and getting revenge on the second player when they screw you up). Read into that bolded/ under-lined bit how you will, I'm not too sure how they meant it, but it sounds to me like they're making an additional compliment on-top of the fact the graphics are crisp, meaning the graphics are top of the line
  10. Man I'd really love to play some people at this game. Anyway, the official japanese site has been up for a few days now: http://www.soularchive.jp/SC4/index.html It's got nothing up but the teaser trailer they've released so far though. Oh and Xianghua FTW, a few people I know use Rapahael so hopefully I have enough practice against him
  11. Well (I hope I don't get killed for this but whatever), I had never really had total bad perceptions of Sony, even after the way they've gone through the motions with the PS3 and the infamous videos of last E3 (OK I'm slightly lying). But I need my second current wave of consoles after the Wii now, and I've always been leaning towards the PS3 over the 360, but this has pushed me a bit more further towards the PS3 as their method of giving us wave of clips and games for their conference was effective enough. Funny thing is, my system seller is the cross-platform Soul Calibur 4.
  12. Woohoo!!! The remake tracks from the other Mario Karts are just buliding up now. Thats the SNES, 64, Cube, GBA and DS tracks now in the mix for the classics. This probably means more stages than any other Mario Kart too (OK I best not speculate). But it does look faster, it just looks fantastic all-round.
  13. Brilliant screen shots there Retro_Link, the game looks fantastic and the HUD definately looks well set out (which will be important in extreme online matches). I'm really hyped for this but I really have to buy the first one before-hand.
  14. That would be cool, it would make Mario seem more... personal . But seriously, that could be true, maybe because they realise the difficulty curve in a lot of games nowadays is non-existant.
  15. ... Is this true!!!! My gosh I think I completely zoned off to a next dimension when you wrote that!!! Is this true because with this being my joint most anticipated game (although from what I've seen today, it may have just pulled away to being number 1 priority by a distance) I think I'll be in heaven. I'm also glad that Reggie said this is the true sequel to Mario 64, definately shows he realises it . Although I didn't think Sunshine was that bad, just not a true Mario type calibur game, but this definately looks so!
  16. OK, me doing this is probably pointless because we probably aren't expecting much in terms of Nintendo's press conference, but I decided to revive this thread just incase something does come up or just to get an insight on people reckon about this game. Although we don't know too much on SMG, I'm still excited for it so you've got to forgive me
  17. Lol, yeah flameboy, I know what you mean about "the fox in the box" (10.5 million wasted). But what do I think about this, well I'm more at ease here than when I heard we paid 2 million for that young defender last month. I'm pretty confident in this guy, sure he's a relatively unproven player (except at international level), but I think the example of Henry is a good one for adpatation. From what I know, he's a quick player anyway, so speed wise he can adjust to the preimiership, and in Croatia, in the league (from what I know) he showed the qualities of the perfect striker, as he scores all types of goals, which is something Arsenal strikers don't seem to possess. Being honest, I am a little shocked (particularly with all the strikers we've been linked to), but I am quite confident.
  18. That Maxi user is absoloute class, the way he ustilises Soul charges for gaurd breakers and with his movements... amazing. Bard, I don't think you too far away with your comments on that user. I was quite impressed with the Nightmare user to actually, they were clever despite Nightmares sluggish movements. Man, Ivy needs to be the way she in Soul Calibur 2 in this, not three. Getting her sword in the whip state was better, amongst other things. But Xianghua is the one (for me), I'd love to play anyone using her. Man this game is my system seller, question is, which one. I know most people here are 360 users, so probably getting for the 360, but the PS3 D-Pad is better... I'll just weigh it up closer to release date.
  19. Hobbinzo, I pipped you to it
  20. Well as much as I agree with Ramar and would love to have Jan Huntelaar, I don't think we'll be going for him this season, tying up Babel, going for Tevez... or really anyone else upfront, particularly with the arrival of of... Eduardo da Silva http://msnsport.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=474813&CPID=8&clid=3&lid=4161&title=Eduardo+delight+at+'£16m'+switch The funny thing is, we bought him for 0.25 million more than we sold Henry for! I know the guy is hot stuff (as I followed his performances last season, well some of them ), I just hope he will cut it in premiership. I don't mind Wengers tactics of going for the 'less-known' people over the huge names, as it works a lot of the times, I'm just not a big fan of going for a lot of youth and inexperience, but, he's the man, so I trust him.
  21. E3 I can literally see them vomitting information (excuse that ) on this. Although it's a lot smaller and more press focus, they know (as well as Nintendo) that a lot of people want to hear stuff on this, so they'll try and nab as much exclusive info first.
  22. Bought this game yesterday, still haven't played it (bloody part-time job *shakes fist*!) I like the overall response in this thread with the Wii controls, it looks like capcom have got it right, can't wait to finally play this! And wait, we get stars with this game?? I though we only get stars with games that Nintendo had a hand in (like devoloping or publishing, not licensing)?
  23. OK, we'll switch it up.... Yay Arsenal!!! *Puts up shield*...
  24. Not jumping here to cause any harm, but religion down to the bone is meant to be about law order (amongst many other things). The man-made law of today, people selectively follow, regardless of how law-abiding you may think you are, there are laws set in the world that we break. Same thing with religion Mikey (not jumping at you at all), which is why the bible may be against homosexuals, but many christians aren't homophobic, it's all free will. Back on point, this really is a reminder of how ill the world is.
  25. From the images, it seems that they're pushing the envolope for the third parties to follow, which is promising as Namco look like they are taking the Wii seriously. As a huge Soul Calibur fan, I can see myself just picking it up for the fact it's Soul Calibur (which isn't neccessarily good), but I've got a close eye on this and I hope it unfolds nicely I do see huge potential in this.
