Pretty sure most terrorists aren't ever allowed to reach positions of power in the USA. Oh well. In a way I like that the rest of the MU are finally considering him a threat, not just Spidey. More Doom-esque.

I agree with Jayseven about the banning bit, to me, she seemed to be a pretty independant person up until then, and It would be far more "in character" for her to not obey her parents (as they weren't there). Or at least contradict what we think of her so far by dealing with the banning a bit more. Something about her being tempted, but for some reason, not doing it, despite it being something she would normally do. That migt add dimension to her a bit more - why isn't she playing her games? etc That's the only thing that felt out of place. I might reword bits slightly, but that's not really "wrong" or anything. EDIT: Just remembered I hated the use of "straddled". Innapropriately used imo, and ineffective. While it CAN mean what you want it too, sprawled would be better.

Oh fine. I half-knew that already it seems. I genuinely don't get how he even got into power. Granted I haven't read it, but I have read Spider-Man from his ressurection way back to his eventually defeat during that time, when everyone found out he was Green Goblin. Or was that OMD'd?

Oh fine then. I might actually read Ultimates then, for once. I keep meaning to buy comics and stuff....but I hate the idea of parting with precious penny. And torrential rain don't work for me, for whatever reason.

Not really. They seemed to come out with a flurry of films and release dates after X2/3 was released, and it worried me. It seemed to be pulled out of a hat so to speak. I mean, who actually believes the Ant-Man movie is going to happen?! Jesus christ. Avengers I suppose isn't AS worrying anymore, since it's already been set in motion with Iron Man 1/Incredible Hulk (which I haven't seen yet, but I hate Hulk anyway). Dan I agree that if they Ultimise it, it'll be great, but apart from Nick Fury being black, there's a lack of ultimising so far in the marvel films. Raimi criminally didn't use the Ultimate Venom origin, to the entire film's detriment. THat's not to say they won't use it in Avengers. I want a decently rounded out team though. Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver, Black Widow (esp if she's in Iton Man, but seems she'll be a villain/rouge), Wasp, Hawkeye...

I have doubts about Avengers. It seems like it will inevitably be a rush job to get all these films done, and then I just feel the final result will be rubbish. Iron Man was good, and I'm sure the second one will be too...but...I get bad vibes from all this planning ahead.

Typing "penguin" into iTunes brings up nothing for me. However, I bought a song by unknown French singer Cherie years ago, that feautured in Batman: Mystery of The Batwoman, during a scene set in PENGUIN'S nightclub.

I know I'm gonna sound really pretentious, but I'm so bored of Penguins. I'm really into Ostiches now...I know it's a bit "cliche", but Penguins are like the Abercrombie and Fitch of the animal kingdom! I just want to express myself!!!

Just made a playlist to keep easy track of all albums released this year that I own. So that when it comes time to arrange by best of the year lists, it's easier. So far, I think it's The Bachelor by Patrick Wolf, but then I've given but a cursury listen to Grizzly Bear and Iron & Wine so far.

X-Men Legends Did a fair amount tonight (instead of revising), and am at the lovely bit where life is over. Prof X is being raped by Shadow King somewhere on the Astral Plane after Jean and Emma were too shit to save him, Magneto arrived at the mansion to waste, only to be raped by several Sentinels, most likely igniting human-mutant war. And Magma is still stunning.

In her defence, Mel C was the only one to have a semi-credible music career after Spice Girls. The other a few sporadic guiltily pleasurable singles, at best. Personally, I always loved the video for; Ginger Spice back then = <3
