  1. I hate pointless remakes. It's not like it's a source material REALLY open to interpretation, it's just another cash-in on the trend of remaking horrors, as most people have no attention span and think "old" films are rubbish. It's looks mildly interesting visually. But then, not.
  2. I like Scottish country/highland dancing. + Kilts. And I don't mind/quite like bagpipes when they're in huge pipe bands. On their own, I agree, they're rubbish.
  3. I knew you'd like it. (You didn't read the blurb beforehand, did you?!)
  4. Eat cake.
  5. This is "my" thread to be fair, and it'll die within the next two days.
  6. Thickets is arguably the sleeper great one on the album. Along with Blackdown and The Messenger.
  7. Edinburgh is genuinely an amazing city, since It actually knocks down any ugly buildings, so only immaculate ones are left standing. And I love that there's no high-rise buildings anywhere near town. However, it's not very culturally diverse, and I hate the "rough" scottish accent, and general attitude of scottish ruffians.
  8. I can imagine myself living in the UK at the end of my life (If I live till old age), but I'd prefer to be somewhere beautiful on the European mainland or the US. Got Stephen Fry In America for my birthday, and I'm in awe of the entire landscape. A Tori Amos album themed around the dusty deserts of America first made me interested, but I'm in such need to go on some sort of road trip for myself.
  9. John, this isn't a punishment. [/re-enacts Dogville in it's entirety, with Chair as Nicole Kidman, and me as the really ignorant neighbour woman with 8 children]
  10. I'm snapping all your Heroclix tonight.
  11. Pretty sure I waited in the queue with you and Joanna, Paddy et al the other day, as you all paid to get into Why Not?. I'm not calling you a liar, just don't lie to me.
  12. How is Smallville even still going?! Is he Superman yet? Or at least a vigilante-esque person? I stopped watching (not for any particular reason) around the time Lois was introduced, which was about 6 seasons ago. lol. Then watched a bit of the ones from whatever series had the mini-justice league in it.
  13. Somewhere else (in town, but miles away from where we were). TBF, he'd been around for my actual birthday celebrations the day before. I'm only play-annoyed.
  14. I didn't know it was possible to have an account on google.
  15. Did my three preliminary self portraits today, one of which is stunning, flaming locks of what-is-probably-auburn-hair-except-in-black-and-white, one that looks nothing like me, more like Kiera Knightley, and one that co-features Michelle Pfieffer in the background, but my face looks quite bad. Now I have to do a 5 hour charcoal A3 one. I'm taking a knife to the books that I wrote.
  16. I was just gonna half, half, half etc each round as songs are eliminated, but as you say, a 3-way or two might need to occur. Unfortunate, but I'm dealing.

I haven't worked out how many rounds, last time it was 5 and then the final, IIRC? It's work-out-able, but I can't bear to. Again, it's just how many times the lot can be halved, effectively.

I think 66% isn't unacceptable to be honest. If you think that's too much, just say.

Polls could be stunning, but I prefer posts, as it offers discussion/interesting facts blah blah.

  17. I have no idea. I'm not incapable of doing maths, I got a C at GCSE. It's more that I have trouble arranging thoughts in my head or something. Hence why I had a stammer when I was younger and have minor (very) speech trouble now. And why I need extra time in exams.
  18. Surveillance By Jennifer Lynch, daughter of David. Engaging, if not entirely convincing. It didn't quite hang together in the end. It was fine watching though in general. Leaves you questioning things, but not in a particularly positive way. Eh. 6/10
  19. Yeah, but you may as well exploit what you can. People do that in life, even if it's not fair. Life isn't fair. I'll get extra time in written exams, and could probably claim I need extra time for deadlines on written work, as I have a mild, unusual dyslexic profile (shite at maths, good at English, which is rare for someone to be diagnosed with a dyslexic profile). I'm allowed to exploit that, so I will (If I feel the need to). (Plus in exams I genuinely needed the extra time)
  20. Paj!

Seen that video before, it's amazing.

  21. Thanks Eenuh! All matched up and lovely. Ashley, may need your help soon in making that spreadsheet of all the "players", but not essential yet. First match could be up tomorrow, but I have loads of work to do, so don't scream if it's not.
  22. DVD's are so amazingly good value, since if you just go into Fopp, most stunning films are £3. From what I've seen, Blu-Ray isn't worth my money as of yet.

    Drinking

    I'm stunningly literal.
