    Went into college with some other friendlies to do extra portfolio work, stunning to see what goes on there on our day off. (Just the part-time courses) We had coffee/break with the staff because we had to be signed onto the staff register and we collectively brought cheesecake to woo. Was good. They have things to say. Went home for my pointlessly-cutting-into-day driving lesson, which I tried to cancel yesterday but they refused to pick up the phone. Yet he phoned 10 minutes before the lesson to say his car exploded or something so it was cancelled. Annoying cause I then did NO work that afternoon cause I'd come all the way home with all my stuff...if I'd known I would have stayed at college to do more. Watched Hurt Locker.

    You clearly didn't get this film at all. Hurt Locker I thought it was really good. Very un-hollywood is terms of structure, pacing and basically...everything, including the actors and the roles they play. The big actors are actually used in the film to artfully serve as more fuel to the metaphoricla fire Bigelow stirs. (Basically, idea of the everyman being the "hero" if you can call it that...more like...the insecurity of it all, the viewer has virtually nothing to grasp onto in terms of how the film functions, an attempt to mirror the feelings of the men. It works) I like how it didn't "explain" everything. It just told me several interesting truths and they were told well. I don't get this "unlikeable!" thing...the POINT is that this isn't a dashing rogue or all-american hero or any other stereotype you can latch onto for security while watching. We're all standing here on this frozen lake together. I really liked it for that. Hmmm. Yeah, it was great. And just a really arresting portrait that actually captures something tangible and horrific, though with hardly any blood/guts...it's all in the insecurity and silence. 9/10

    I saw half (maybe more) of it about a year ago.

     

    I was unimpressed mostly. The visuals were...nice. I actually preferred The Cell (by the same guy) visuals-wise.

     

    However I reserve full judgement until I've seen it all.

    A stunning video. The song feels so much better now I've seen the video...the image I had in my mind before was a shit club and stuff. This adds so much. I loved "I knew she didn't have a penis!"

    I didn't know there were 194 DS games worth playing. Last I checked, the shelves were full of "GASP! I'M A VET." and "LIFESTYLE CHOICE: I'M A VEGAN" or the like.

    I just love how crass it all is. And his new album has some good pop stuff that is a lot better than the stuff on the charts atm (not explicit). But then it's got a lot of "..." stuff too. I laugh everytime I hear this one. Just the chorus. And of course We Want Cunt. Classic. :p

    HELP NEEDED FROM LONDONERS What would be the nearest airport to Kingston (or at least Kingston University London)? I'm so confused as to whether it's Heathrow or Gatwick.

    My house is obscured by foliage, and you can't get closer cause they didn't bother to go within the enchanted cove my house resides in (we're often left off normal maps anyway...despite being on a main road...in the city). Feels like Dido's house in the Thank You video.

    The meteorite is the source of the light, and the meteor is just what we see. The meteoroid's a bone thrown from the void that lies quiet and off'ring to thee.

    I'm not into fashion/clothes really, but I want these. Out of season/stock/whatever the term is and are runbelievably expensive, so yeah. Whenever I type in "mens pirate boots" or whatever all I get is fancy dress clothes. Crying.
