Also, in The Ultimates (what the film will be based on apparently/hopefully) loads of people scoffed when Thor said he was a god. Many people thought he was just a mutant with delusions. I think. I can imagine Avengers working well. Presumably they'd get to know each other/work together on missions, and I assume the whole thing'll be "Omg we all work differently we'll never gel!!!" and then over time (the course of the film) they work out how to make it all work fine and in sync. I'd be interested to see what villain they do. A single "big" one would be good. loki was the first villain the Avengers fought/why they came together, but he's in the Thor film. Ultron could be interesting but another robot/battle-suit guy might be a bit tiresome after the Iron Man films.

I gave Mumford and Sons a listen today after seeing them on Jools Holland and reading about their associatiion with Laura Marling. They came across like a less good, but still maybe worth it, male Laura. It was just really..blah and uninteresting. The elements to make it interesting were there but it was all mixed together into a stodgy pie.

I've thought about this a lot recently, how I've basically stayed in close contact with so few people from school (comparitive to how many "acquaintances" I had, and assuemd I'd still have). Also wondering how my current friends at college will factor in once we all move into second year/different art schools. It was funny when I imagined Ashley being all the characters. P.S I hate her vocal affectations. P.P.S This has no relevance.

Bathe me in your light. Yeah. I just remembered I could e-mail them/phone them. I somehow assumed that the FAQ was the be-all and end-all. Thank you for teaching me. Close the fucking thread, I'm humiliated.

Hmm. I'll try again then. RE: Uncanny. I knew that would happen, must have read it somewhere as an unintentional spoiler... Sad, because...

I didn't know where to put this, or if it deserved it's own thread, but I was wondering if anyone could help. I ordered a CD (in stock) from Play.com on monday evening. On Tuesday morning I received an e-mail saying that there had been a problem/the back had declined it, and to reveiw my details in case. Did so (thought it might be something to do with the bank currently getting me a new pin code? Dunno), and re-entered my details again. And...it's been "processing" since then. No confirmation e-mails, or the opposite. What I want to know is, how do I cancel it? I think it might be permanently stuck in limbo, and I want this CD! I may as well just go buy it in a shop..but now it's "ordered" I don't want to buy it twice. Anyone know what to do?

^ About to read it. Though I've not been following Second Coming elsewhere. Has anyone read Brightest Day 1 yet? The links on that site so far don't work for me (the files can't be read).

Crystal Castles new album is brilliant. A definite purchase when it comes out physically. Love the Sigur Ros sample in Year of Silence.

Rate The Last TV Show You Saw (Spoiler Tags for Recent US Shows!)
Paj! replied to Slaggis's topic in General Chit Chat
I've heard Arrested Development referred to as a sitcom, which seems pretty ridiculous to me. I enjoy Will and Grace cause I only see repeats infrequently. Dunno if I'd find it as funny if I saw it all the time (not that I think it's particularly special in the first place).- 3920 replies

Anyone else read Grant Morrison's run on Doom Patrol from the late 80's? Just started it and it's as fantastically surreal as I expected. Tonnes of strange, mind-boggling philosophical concepts all over the shop, and a few hermaphrodites for good measure.

It just seems like eally pointless lies though, some of these pokemon would kill the other one in a battle without even meaning to, based on these descriptions. Or at least be a terrible threat to humanity. A pidgeot could just streak past and rip out your throat and no one could do anything. Or a Raticate could topple your office building apparently.

That was funny, even though I have no knowledge of Res Evil. (I got the Umbrella joke though, laughed at that) (sidenote; I loved your description of the spider-man scene in your "Films that make me hungry" video)

Why didn't you buy one before? The dates were announced a while ago. I've been reguarly checking and rechecking to see if she's gonna come to Scotland (seems not ).

The Magcargo one is hilarious. I can just imagine it coming out it's ball, and people and land suddenly setting alight and melting.

Pretty good poll.

Heat sometimes gives me headaches when indoors, and outdoors it can be painfully sunny/bright and in turn give me more headaches. Obviously that's an extreme.

Just catching up on Morrison's Batman & Robin. I read the first arc (all the ones drawn by Frank Quietly <3), but never got around to keeping up. I love.
