Oh lord, here's the one I've been dreading. =Music Wars 2= Match 21 Emily- Joanna Newsom Not available on We7 spotify:local:Joanna+Newsom:Ys:Emily:740 (Don't think this'll work, it's a link to my music library I think...)   2. Yay, my favourite Florence song gets the single treatment. I love. Just cause it evokes this;
  3. Cat Power a hundred times over that Athlete song.
  4. That's a very...odd picture though. Even within his stuff. I think his art works much better in context, it's all laid out purposely. Even though technically it makes it harder to read if you try and skim through it, it's so frenetic and I admire that it's all intentional and all over the place. (and it's a good idea to have to absorb it all more. It's not a "hindrance" to the story like Greg Land's art is). I love the "bits" that are constantly in the air in his comics. Sinister Spider-Man was also lovely, all done by him. He's very inventive and willing to experiment, which is no bad thing.
  5. Music Wars is back up and running you filths! Let's all go contribute!
  6. Ok! Genuinely doing it this time. Rolling Stones wins this one. Stay tuned for match 20.
  7. Just getting Dark Avengers, will report back once Ive read it. Read Return of Bruce Wayne 1.
  8. Tiger Bay by Saint Etienne, £10 Was toying with buying it anyway, but saw it and it looked so delicious. Only a pound more expensive than online too. Such a gorgeous package,, coming with a lovely essay and booklet to go with the extra disc of unreleased material too. Plus I don't have the main album anyway.
  9. Also, though I agree for rock/pop/most acts, people like Joanna Newsom would just be awkward to stand for. There's no "standing energy" or whatever, which is appropriate for the act. -- @ Ashley My friend put on Darwin Deez (whose name I've seen batted around as up-and-coming on the net) in his car and it reminded me of things you might like. If you don't already. All seems-happy-but-probably-underlyingly-cynical-lyrics-and-affected-american-accents.
  10. My personal favourite Justin Beiber thing is Lesbians Who Look Like Justin Beiber
  11. She can come and live with me. Seriously though, as you know, I have a Justice Sense, and it's resounding so loudly.
  12. Hey I'm going to Kingston! (unless my parents TOTALLY REWIN MY LYFE AND SAY I CANT) Loving it. -- Anyway, it was pretty cool. I got that the wobbliness was to make it a bit more vivid and lively, it was fine for me personally. I liked the story, it was cute/creepy.
  13. I spent half an hour writing an overlong post about how I feel at the moment (to disgustingly simplify/familiarise the subject matter), but then didn't bother posting because it was too self-absorbed for the thread and would just make people feel awkward, wondering whether to respond or not. It was cathartic nontheless.
  14. I was thinking of watching it, but then didn't. I'll get my sister's review later on.
  15. I love the fire one. Though the Grass one reminds me of Treecko and the water one of Piplup (visually). I love the trainer designs too.
  16. Angel Season 5 "Harm's Way" Going through this season way slower, probably as a sort of "comedown" from the speed of Season 4 (and how it was all one story so I wanted to power through). The setting of this season actively makes it all breezy and relaxing. Anyway, I liked this one, it's not often Angel gives whole episodes to a single side-story not really concerning any main plots or characters. Plus Harmony is fairly amusing. I coincidentally read the Buffy Season 8 issue where it was a one-off all about Harmony this morning.
  17. DudeDazz, you don't rate enough interesting movies on your site. It's mostly films that are clearly awful in the first place/no one really wants to see (Camp Rock, Alvin and the Chipmunks 2, loads of those parody films and rubbish horrors etc), or films that are very well known or current. I liked when you reviewed the Malice in Wonderland one cause it was a film that people might be intrigued about. (and other reviews but I can't remember) [/an observation, not trying to be rude or anything]
  18. At least he tried to tell jokes with the arrangement. Yay, my Hole album finally arrived, over a week after it should have. Ordering it from Play.com was so worth it in the end though, the "EXCLUSIVE SLIPCASE" has such a strange and lovely texture. In celebration, the gig I was at;
  19. Day made a lot more productive just now after I flicked through some article about spring cleaning and just decided then and there to clean up my desk. Which was piled high with non-desk stuff. And just throwing things out.
  20. Lego is quite fun/therapeutic. I often have a go of my cousins when I have to look after him. I only had a bit of lego when I was younger...and I actually really liked it, but I moved on quickly from it IIRC. I didn't get into it young enough. --- The most productive thing I've done all day (I'm not joking) is give my Black Cat action figure a new costume, made of stickers.
  21. Oh yeah of course. By catch-up, that's what I meant. I read Ultimate Spidey from issue 1 up until the first issue of the Hobgoblin story years ago, and not since. And I read Ultimate X-Men up until..I'm not sure. Maybe after that one where they fight Spiral? And the other day I read Ult. X-Men 100 and Requiem since they tied into Ultimatum. (which was...hmm.) (Spoilers ahead for Ultimatum if you care) I don't actually oppose the ideas behind Ultimatum, it was an interesting and horrific break from the fairly "safe" disasters these heroes have to deal with, and involved one of the most powerful mutants in the worlds actually using their powers realistically for once. I think, however, the plotting and reasoning behind a lot of it was flawed. I don't believe for a second that he would cause the ultimatum wave because his children "died". He only ever expressed interest in Wanda, and I seem to remember in Ultimate War, after shooting Quicksilver, he was no less willing to do the same to Wanda. So that was shit. (and also kinda the entire plot of Ultimates 3, making that a bit/a lot rubbish) And lots was done for seemingly just shock value. I'm in two minds over the Wasp/Blob/Yellowjacket thing...there's no reason why she shouldn't have died like that, it was horrific and fitted the tone, but something about it feels off. Maybe cause we didn't see the lead-up to it? You'd think she'd have been able to avoid him. Yellowjacket biting his head off I preferred, he'd have been a complete psycho mess anyway, and it worked in a way. I "liked" how so many died cause it's like "OMG! Realistic!" but then again it wasn't done very well. And
