  1. Very slow comic week for me...only read Invincible and X-Men: Hellbound. It was mildly interesting...I dunno what Gambit's story is for the last few yearshas been though, so I'm not sure what to make of him. I like that Northstar and Dazzler get to do something.
  2. I'm exactly the same! I know where things definitely won't be. I found it in the end, it had fallen out of my pocket and was underneath my washing basket. Also passed my Theory Test this morning. Let's have a sexy party.
  3. True Blood is apparently good, so that's fine, and the avatar is uncliched. I hate the sig though, Evanescence lyrics...no....*winces, as images of female twilight fans write fanfic and listen to Evanescence* It's too big, it if were smaller, and the "buttons" still flowed into the image, it would be better, IMO.
  4. *demands answers from the magic mirror*
  5. That's my normal/expressionless face. My smile would have looked too fake. My face has a black outline around it now I've noticed, with my roots and lack of shaving. I feel like a drawing.
  6. It's just odd because I have no actual connection with her beyond friendly acquaintance, so it's quite...jarring. It would just feel odd suddenly making more of an effort. But..may... Plus she has a fear of bars/pubs/any sortof social night situation. Which isn't helpful. I actually get on with/know her best friend better, a stunning 30 year old Australian woman, I could talk to her. *shrugs* We could be bouncing off clouds. I too have lost my phone. It's in none of the usual places, and I foolishly left it on silent. I fear the worst.
  7. I am beautiful, no matter what you say, words won't bring me down.
  8. RE: Invincible 72 I..um... Hmm. Pt. 2 of 8 as well. Good lord.
  9. This is the only Prince song I like from his second album/first real one. Slightly remixed by "White Girl Lust" to be a bit more bouncy.
  10. Oh, YES!
  11. The Queen doesn't give a shit about the majority of the acts at the Royal Variety Performance, I'd bet. They aren't chosen for their quality either...I'm pretty sure Rachel Stevens performed one year. BGT is the antithesis of everything I hold dear.
  12. I actually listened to it the other day, I didn't realised you posted that. In any case, it's not the sounds of "typical heavy metal" (however much of a misnomer that may be to people in the know) that put me off, it's the (to me) dull, heard-it-all-before execution I keep hearing in it (not all of it). I find no suggestion of actual aggression or power in most stuff I hear. A lot I can appreciate on a technical level, but that's personally not why I listen to music usually. My current favourite band is Sleigh Bells, who embody the concept of "FUCK! IT'S THE APOCALYPSE!" so more enjoyably to me.
  13. That's what Thor's hammer looks like, to be fair. Though I way prefer his Ultimate one.
  14. Vol. 5 seems to collect 49-60, and 72 is about to come out/has just come out.
  15. Kirkman said it was out yesterday (on twitter).
  16. Ok, this needs to be it for my graphic novel purchases this month... I need to keep this £100 I have left to my name sacred. X-Factor Vol.1 Ms. Marvel Vol.1 We3 Came to £18 so I'm not weeping.
  17. Oh. I was relying on you Happenstance. I'll just assume the Sable arc is set afterwards. --- I'm in a flurry of "need to buy graphic novels!". I've got an amazon wishlist, and currently in my basket are Ultimate Spider-Man 22 (to finish it all off), and Ultimate X-Men vol. 13. I could then add vol. 14 (which happens to have my favourite title; "Phoenix?". I just love the concept of the question, and the situations it suggests.), or ADD a vol.1 of a new series I've heard is great. Right now I'm thinking one of either X-Factor, Ms. Marvel or She-Hulk? Any thoughts from people here on these three titles? I've only heard great things.
  18. Fair enough. --- Just finished Ultimate Spidey: War of the Symbiotes. I love how Ultimate Spider-Man is consistantly good. There's nothing wrong with it. It's always enjoyable and well thought out. (although I quite liked the idea of
  19. You're talking to someone who has hair that both looks and feels like a troll's. Your hair looks fairly healthy/normal. But then again a picture tells a thousand lies.
  20. I love this post in relation to your avatar. A really disgusted woman, but she's so far above it, she'll just suck on her ciggy and deal with it in the medium of haiku.
  21. A woman on my course (it's about 70% "young people" 30% mature students) made things really awkward today (but not awkward enough to post in the thread of the same name). The very shy-yet-occasionally-shockingly-outgoing girl I was talking to whilst at the photocopier was being nice and friendly, and then the afformentioned woman was like "Why are you all red, Vanessa?! Oh, do you like Henry?" to her, really patronisingly, though meant with good intentions (said woman is really nice/intelligent/great to talk to about art). Then Vanny was just like "*giggles**mortified*". Kinda trailed off into mumbles and me going back to my workspace. I kinda suspected for a while. But there you go. HMMMMMMM.
  22. Well it's a CG/digital rendering like the Cap ones, so you shouldn't be suprised it looks photoshopped. :p I like the boots, and it looks cool. Dunno how norse warrior it is, but that might be a good thing.
  23. Is it all the BIFIDUS DIGESTIVUM? (I always loved that name) --- Omg handed in final project for marking. We're working on them after this for the exhibition, but this is our last project hand-in. We all then went for a nice group breakfast at Tiso (yes, the camping shop), cause there's a massive one down the road with a really good cafe in it.
