And could very well end up looking shit. Unfortunately. Let's hope not.

They're no.1. That's the opposite of going against the norm.

I love. Imagining a Disney-fied version of BSG. With horrific gore added.

Superman's brill in Grant Morrison's JLA. And used well/the villains plan around him. In any case, JLA Year One (which is a fantastic read) has the original roster of GL, Flash, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and Black Canary/Wonder Woman (depending on what DC has retconned this week...). So this is technically the "correct" team, and the original one.

See, I'd get a picture tattoo, if these results were guaranteed! But they aren't. Most are shite. The Catwoman is "!". Joker moreso though. I want to touch it. Well I hate metal, I wouldn't get that. I do agree though. I'd rather get the X-Men logo in full for clarity's sake, but then symbols carry mystique/ambiguity lest you hate being branded in the end. I need to investigate logos more. I found a blog by the guy who designed loads of the X-Men/X-titles logos in the 80's and 90's and studied all the rest. So that's useful.

That's next-next week though, isn't it? I know Incredible Hulk is meant to come out before Hulk. Oh, was that the list Happenstance posted a few pages back? With Ultimate Avengers 3 1? I understand now.

He's the same size as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Each person is further and further away.

Yeah, water is too great. There's a reason Halle Berry died in the Catwoman movie after being flushed out a sewage tunnel by water at great force. ^ My favourite example of the power of water.

Well I don't mean jokes as in "Why did the chicken cross the road?"...and I still stand by what I said/meant by the fact I didn't get how things were meant to be funny. Less so in this episode (I just didn't like most of it), but the Working Out bit. What was that? You were working out with weights, then working out maths problems. ...Great? It doesn't work on any level as a comedic thing. It was just nothing. I also hate the "you're an intelligent person" thing. It's really patronising. But anyway. I'm stating how I feel/what I see. Things that make no sense, and don't work, as comedy.

P.S Dan-Likes-Trees hasn't replied to my PM asking if he wanted to take over from Dwarf. He told me would have signed up if he'd been around, so we'll see. This game has pissed me off. Why sign up for things you aren't going to play? (I don't include Dwarf in this, he was active then forgot to mention he was going, so that's fine) NIGHT 2 IS OVER The group was a bit disorientated after yesterday. There had been revelations though. And people had been made aware of some prominent figures in the group, for better or for worse... --- The blonde woman made her way through the halls, looking for her target. She didn’t notice either female figure silently follow her in the shadows, ready to make a killing strike. --- The blue shaggy man had just been flung through the complex by hurricane winds. Groaning, he got up and began to watch a new target as she left to carry out her nightly duties. The woman seemed to join a large group of other like-minded people. However, before he could inquire further, in a flash of pink smoke and the smell of brimstone, he was suddenly transported in front of two grim-looking women, just as they pounced on what they thought was the blonde woman, hidden amongst the pink smoke. --- The blonde woman screamed, suddenly finding herself teleported across the complex as well, and was immediately bombarded by a large group of people looking for the large man. She was knocked unconcious by missile blasts, robbed, and had the life-force drained from her, until finally some thoughtful soul realised their mistake and teleported her away to safety. --- The taller of the two women let Hank McCoy’s body slip from her grasp, falling limply on the floor. She glanced at the other woman who would have killed him as well, has she been seconds earlier. She smiled, before darting away silently. The other woman, left alone with the body cursed her bad luck. She was so close. This lumbering oaf ruined her plans. Next time… --- Dannyboy-The-Dane is dead. So is the judging goose a fake?! I'm so upset.

It was REALLY bad. Up until the title card for the new Clair segment, which I sniggered at, cause I love the picture of her face, and concept of splashing. And then her reaction. That was really good. But seriously a low point up until that. Not really jokes (as I've said before).

I semi-want the purchases thread back, but then it makes me think about whether I can create a thread based around something I just bought. I started the new tattoo thread half because I'm interested in getting one myself, and half because I just bought LA Ink season 2 in Zavvi's Monday sale. And comic purchases I put in the comic thread. I was contemplating making a Marianne Faithfull thread as I bought some CD's of hers but then decided against it.

Well I'd rather have a stunning picture by Frank Quitely/other artisr etc, but these things DON'T translate well at all. (Any comic artist really) A lot to do with the tattoo artist themselves, but also cause very thin lines don't work in tattoos. (apparently) Plus I have no connection to the symbiote/Venom symbol.

I'd recommend he just read Ultimates 2. :p

Just been listening to both parts of Body Talk (Pt.2 is "out now"), and I've really enjoyed them. People seem to prefer Pt.2, but I think the standouts on Pt.1 are brilliant, whereas Pt.2 is overall more consistant. But Fembot, Dancing on my Own and Dancehall Queen are untouchable. I do love Criminal Intent from Pt.2 though. I think her self-titled from a few years ago was probably "better", in that it feels more like a satisfying whole, as opposed to a collection of dance tracks with a couple of random slower/acoustic ones at the end. I would rather she'd just released one full album, and maybe just considered flow more, rather than 2 seperate little albums. But that's just me.

Yeah I gathered from the Ink shows/general research that the back is like "Fuck me, I'm crying.". And the chest is very painful too.

I know we have the generic piercings/tattoos thread from ages back, but in the spirit of the thread lock thing... Tattoos. Who's got them, where, show us pics! I want a tatto. Have for a while, but then while in Orkney, all my sister and I watched was Miami and L.A Ink. Which made it look so stunning, and of course edited to appear completely painfree. Having got home and looked up tattoo parlours in Edinburgh, I realised why certain people were on TV and others weren't : artistic skill. And also I remembered that it was famous for being painful. How painful were people's tattoos here? I wanted to get a little something like this (not this colour scheme): So hopefully that's unfuck-upable. It's the X-Men logo.

Well she said she's "off to bristol" on facebook, so I assume so.

I know. A one-shot stunner, with great art. The bit where he slashes Warren's wings. Considering it was my first comic (same reprint issue as the Psylocke vs. Sabre one). Felt so risque and too old for me. And I like how he's credibly a threat to them (even though technically they should waste him). But in the city he's too great. Might dig that out again. I loved the UK cover too, since it was a nod to X-Men 1:

I think so yeah. And anyway, what you just wrote was my point earlier. I can't even remember why I was going off about something else. :p That's why I have so many Batman TPB's, because before my recent sudden realisation I should be buying more trades, when I was younger and I was allowed to get one/had saved up, I always bought Batman, except in rare situations. I mean, I got into the main X-Men comics straight from the cartoons at a young age, because I wanted to. And could be bothered. In the comic I posted a page back, my first one, it introduced me to Boom-Boom (never seen), who seemed to have some sort of relationship to Sabretooth (only brief knowledge of), and then Psylocke came in, fought, and died (never met before either). Anyway. I do agree that X-Men is probably the most intimidating, but it's not as bad as you'd think.

And the end of TDK too, when they're like "Why is he running away Daddy?" "He's the dark knight, son" or whatever it is, I didn't hear it at all all the times I've seen it.
