Always up for some good foreign cinema. Anyone else seen this? : lol. My mum bought me it, thinking it wholesome. I loved though. Also loved Sylvain Chomet's (guy who did Belleville Rendez-vous) recent film, L'Illusioniste, set in Edinburgh! So creepy though...I was sitting in the cinema the main character walks into during the film. Bizarre/famousindependantcinemainEdinburgh

I always make pictures for my Role PMs (by "make", I mean I just edit existing images down to a uniform size/choose pics off google), so I have to add them and pretty-fy everything for each Role PM, meaning that the 60 seconds elapses whilst I'm faffing about. Feels so great. Vote: No Lynch

But my eyes are still on ReZ and Danny/Diageo. Realistically just Diageo though. Danny seems pure of heart.

Change Vote: Moogle

Curiouser and curiouser. Vote: ReZourceman But If ReZ is right about what he's on about now, I'm interested in what Moogle has to say.

I know. I just don't find it funny I suppose. --- I hate how DVD's are marketed often really badly on the cases, presumably so the film can be lumped into a "genre" and try and grab the attention of someone. Ties into my hatred of DVD blurbs too. The Synecdoche, New York DVD case is so shit. Chair and I wondered if the big stamp saying "THIS YEAR'S SMASH-HIT COMEDY" was a piss-take. And the blurb simplifies the film down so badly. Urgh. Fuck DVD cases. When I make my films, don't expect any blurbs (/the distributors presumably do it without the director agreeing).

Yeah, imagining writing/making a piece of art I really like makes me happy, but then I can't (bring myself to) do it. It seems childish, like I'm pretending, regardless of how I approach it. I await the day when it feels like I can create something because it needs to be created, rather than it being "something I want to do", wearing influences on my sleeve, full of shit etc. I don't feel like I can write/can justify writing. I have nothing to say that isn't in the work that I worship anyway. So it seems pointless.

I fucked up in this one...I deleted my PM my mistake, but I assumed I had my role right. I thought I was a vigilante the entire game...presumably because of Vigoroth's name confusing me. Despite reading my role PM of course...I blame playing in 3-4 mafias at once. That's why I did nothing like...every night phase, until tonight, when I wanted to kill Raining. And then I find out I was both wrong the entire game, and then killed. It's fine. I'm just a really boring player if I'm not an info gatherer or something where I have anything to say. It was good though.

Don't do a DIY mafia, Danny, we're still in one, let it rest. And if we want more accusations, just give everyone insane/investigative powers of some sort. Or just totally mess with the general status quo. I'm about to run a game over on another site (where ReZ, Chair and I first came from, and where mafia is done well/all the time), and I've completely played around with the amount of a certain type of role there are etc, including broken roles, having seperate parties etc. Just go insane and see what happens.

I have a signed, first edition Goblet of Fire book, but it's in very used condition. :p Saw proper mint ones up for hundreds on eBay, mine'll be worth shit all I expect. Also got a fairly poor quality Incredible Hulk annual from 1974. It stuns. And that famous issue of X-Men:

I stopped Brightest Day. I might pick it up in trade form if I like the idea later on. How long is going on for? I agree with the need for chat though. Dan's gone off somewhere of late...chat's slowed. And also the fact that we won't all be reading the same things.

As it should be. You've seen Inland Empire haven't you? I'm sure you said you had ages ago...if not, get on that.

^ I hate it. Who gets that excited about beer? I hate everything on on TV. The marketing campaign that is the X Factor. Especially when they trot out some has been like Natalie Imbruglia, citing her Brit Award win as though Brit Awards meant anything.

That list contains loads of my faves.

I liked the forced change (except for the lack of comic thread, which was rectified very early thankfully), but I do think Post Your Purchases could be back, maybe with some rule about what you purchase being interesting. :p

She probably used thinning scissors. They keep the length, but literally just thin how much of it there is.

I'm still not over that.

That's stupid (if true, which I doubt).

I bought some comics in town today, which is my new thing, if the comics are stunning. Bought Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis 1 Director's Cut, and then issue 2. Because they stun. And also Storm & Gambit. My 3 fave things.

I know, I wasn't exaggerating! :p -

I think I tried this on here once. Wasn't interested. I have more interest in paint drying than football though, so that probably didn't help. -
For you, SCG, my personal fave live Bjork performance (ft. Talvin Singh and Guy Sigsworth):

I saw Amy Winehouse 3 years ago the first tour date after a much publicised one where she was shite/on drugs, then booed off stage/attacked a fan who threw something at her or something. She was 40 mins late (or like...just enought to annoy slightly, but deal with), and was on top form. Note-perfect, etc. So that was good. Tegan and Sara were late on (slightly) one time, but Tegan was crying so you can tell something bad had gone on.
