Advertising watchdog bans Nintendo TV ad
iplanet77 replied to iplanet77's topic in General Gaming Discussion
They had me fooled! -
ASA bans 'misleading' Nintendo TV ad after receiving a single complaint. So who was it Microsoft or Sony? http://www.wii-consoles.co.uk/articles/asa-bans-wii-u-tv-advert.asp

I take it they're using the sniper rifle? I cannot get the hang of this rifle myself. When you pull your targetting trigger it seems to zoom in somewhere on the ground and it then takes ages for me to find the head of my victim. More often than not I become the victim. My only kills with this gun have been lowly donkey riders, waiting for their ass to turn up.

There's a list here - http://www.wii-game.co.uk/views/wii-release-dates.asp . The only one I'm really looking forward to is Red Steel 2. This will be my first MotionPlus game as I didn't bother with Sports Resort.

Tescos have put the price back up to £220, Gameseek are the cheapest now at £210 - http://www.pspgoprices.co.uk/ . I think Sony will deliver on the DLC for the PSP Go, but it won't be free. Now that they have the game distribution channel sewed up, I think they're going to milk it for all it's worth.

Is this a real time strategy game? I used to really be into Age of Kings on the PC, played it for years in fact. So RTS games on a console have been a bit of a let down for me. I tried Halo Wars on the 360 recently and although the graphics were good, the gameplay and control methods were crude compared to AOK. I completed it in a few days, the game just had no depth to it.

Thanks, it's good to see they haven't just rehashed the old version

Yeah, the software is like 70MB+, it's just a mouse!

I must have got old a long time ago then, my desktop is running Windows 2000. Time for an upgrade I think

How does version 5 differ from the previous game? Is it just a different set list?

I've got high hopes for this game. The NFS series went downhill when they released Pro Street and the developers admitted that. The pointless drag racing really ruined it for me. If what they're saying about this game is true, this new version should be a good arcade racer.

They're trying to sell this as a party game. The idea is you get your mates around and take turns at doing the mixes. I don't really get it though, but then again I didn't get guitar hero either.

Derren Brown's "I'm failing the nation" series

He can leave my ass alone thanks. You might be sick of this guy now, but does anyone remember when Paul Daniels was on the telly -
Razer make some really good (expensive) mice, but I don't think they do ball mice anymore. They even have a configurator on their website to help you choose your ideal mouse.

I liked Road House and Point Break, but for me his best film was Red Dawn. Now that was an eighties classic.

You can stick up to 48GB of memory in this thing! I think it would make great media player. I reckon there will have to be a cut off point. So after you've registered your PSP Go, you would have maybe 2 weeks to register your UMD's. If so, people would just be stocking up on cheap UMD's off eBay before they even bought their new PSP Go.

I'm hearing mixed opinions on this one. On the one hand the critics and retail seem to be loving it and then you hear from the people that have played the demo and their impressions are not too good. To be honest, when I first heard about this game and that it had Ninja in the title I thought it was another load of shovelware, like Ninja Breadman

Dixons and Woolworths had consoles in stock today, not for long though.
