  1. Reminds me of Banjo Kazooie, where it calls the level "Logbox 720" (basically the mickey take new Xbox) a "next-next-gen console".
  2. Totally forgot that this was on. Missed all the Christmas day stuff with being ill, I'll review the list and see if theres many I can still get.
  3. So, the Wire. I've heard much about this show and how good it is but I've never watched it. Methinks I shall have too. What's it actually about anyway?
  4. Just completed this. My thoughts: What an awful, awful storyline. What an awful, awful combat system. What an awful, awful game design with regards to checkpoints. Yet I still loved it. It could have done with a GRID style flashback system, letting you go back about 10 seconds to redo that one jump you mistimed instead of making you redo the last 5 minutes and go through those 10 guards again. Also the shooting stuff felt rubbish and the slowmo thing seemed totally out of place. But the actual running was excellent.
  5. If you pause/unpause it initiates an autosave. I generally do that before exiting, just in case. But I think it pretty much autosaves after anything - collect one note and it will do so.
  6. Imo, thats the best Top Gear ever. Tops the America episode, the North Pole episode, all of them. I was just laughing constantly for the whole thing. James' face when Clarkson broke his statue the second time was amazing. The woman painting the randomers bike was amazing. Jeremy's face in the rain was amazing. I loved it so much I'm gonna watch it again tomorrow.
  7. Like I say, I've had more since I got this virus than the rest of my life altogether. Let's calculate; Got this on the Wednesday evening before Christmas. So it's been 10 days (what a a guess that was then :p) exactly since I got it. If we say for arguments sake I was awake for 16 hours of each day to take pills (not counting naps, assuming that late nights and delays inbetween taking them due to naps etc balance) I'm taking 4 sets a day, so 8 pills a day. That's 80 pills. Bloody hell. Doubt I've had half that in my life before. Fun. Then again, I'm moaning alot about one virus, and you've had about a million problems before. Only thing I've ever had is broken bones or the cold.
  8. I'm not far into it (collected maybe 20 jiggies) but the thing I'm loving about the game so far, other than the obvious musical / character stuff, is the way you can complete a task in so many different ways. The example I'm thinking of is that Clanker protection level from the demo; in the demo, I tried just barging the guys and failed, and didn't bother. Knowing I needed to do it this time, I went at first for an egg shooter, but couldn't aim it effectively enough with my limited pieces. So my next idea was a pair of "glasses", a massive vehicle to cover his eyes while I whack the bots to death. Of course, I couldn't make one wide enough to cover both eyes, so instead I made one and concentrated on protecting the other manually. I didn't get the TT trophy, though, and so when I get more pieces I'm gonna come back to it and take another approach, possibly completely caging one eye while shooting from the vehicle, or something totally new. The biggest disappointment for me so far is that there are no jiggies just laying around that you have to solve a puzzle to grab. Find a way to it, complete a certain task (that isn't explained by an NPC) etc. Example; the Tower of Strength in Banjoland. I divebombed on it in my plane, just for the hell of it, and got an achievement for ringing the bell. Surely they could have had some sort of ingame reward for that? Having everything clearly signposted - an NPC location pointed to on the map, a whole speech explaining what you need to do and why, and then get an arbitrary reward. But why does Mumbo have a jiggy for me if I can do xyz, when he's supposed to be Banjo's friend? Why can't he just give him it to prevent Grunty winning?
  9. Really? That might be contributing to me feeling like I am just now then. Groggy, lethargic, and no appettite at all. I'll not take them tomorrow and see how I feel. I suspect my muscle/headaches will come back a little, so it's probably six and a half dozen, but I'd rather not take them. And by cope with pills I was referring more to the actual act of taking them. I've been having to take two pills about the size of a 5p every 4 hours for the last 10 days and it's getting tiresome.
  10. I think in the last 10 days I've consumed more Paracetamol than in the entirity of the previous 16 years. I'm sick of it already, don't know how people who have to take things daily can cope.
  11. What do the numbers above the Mumbo crates signify? Never quite worked it out yet.
  12. Thats it Flink, you've cracked it. Since Dannyboy got that avatar I've been wracking my brains on who he looks like, but never quite got there. I knew there was someone but it never came to me.
  13. This is true, but flu can give you general muscle stiffness itself, though not severe neck pain like meningitis. The test I was given is: can you put your chin on your chest comfortably? Minimal pain could just be flu, if you struggle it's a bad sign.
  14. Sounds like exactly what I've got. Do you have aversion to light aswell? I did, and got told to go to the hospital and get a blood test just in case. Sometimes the rash doesn't appear until very late. I think being able to use the computer at the stage you're at suggests flu rather than meningitis but I'd go to A&E anyway. Better safe than sorry and all that.
  15. You're an example of the group being referred to, therefore we are inherently talking about you.
  16. Today was actually quite crap. Felt so ill today. Opened all my presents this morning, and while the rest of my family were messing around and eating chocolate, I went back to bed for a couple of hours. Then the Grandparents came round, I lasted until halfway through dinner before it got too much and again I just went back to bed. Such a rubbish Christmas day.
  17. I got; Pure, Mirrors Edge, Dead Space, Banjo Kazooie N&B, LocoRoco2, a couple of books (including the new Jeremy Clarkson, woot) some clothes, and most importantly: Awesome gaming chair. Only slight problem is it's a little low if I'm sitting upright playing, but most of the time I'm slouching and reclining back so it's fine. Speakers are awesome - looking forward to giving Dead Space a blast with it.
  18. How is it narrow minded to differentiate between those who were born female and those who decided to become female after 40 years of living as a man?
  19. Not necessarily. Just using it as an example of how a transexual is different to a natural woman. Don't think it's necessarily you, but at least a few people on here have preached before about how it's only down to "social conditioning" that we see something like transexuals as "unacceptable" or whatever. Surely though, the most natural way of defining the sex of a person is by the genetic way they are made. If they have a historectomy, sure, they are still a woman who has had an operation to remove a part of her body. Same goes for a dude who cuts his dick off.
  20. Probably wouldn't be the first thing I'd notice, no. Still means they aren't a woman.
  21. Because they aren't a woman now. They are a man who has had a few surgeries to look like one.
  22. Gloating about someone getting injured is not an attractive quality in another human being, dazzy.
