As well as Rummy's post above it is worth mentioning that the news reports i have read and statements from the police, the police never actually said a shot was fired at them. The only facts have been that: (from what i can make out) Police shot and killed a man Police officer had bullet lodged in his radio A non standard police handgun found at the scene Police were trying to arrest the male under a operation targeting criminals using guns in the black community So anything else is media spin etc etc until the IPCC tell us what actually happened.

Even if he never fired a shot it doesn't nessisary mean the police are in the wrong. Even in self defence there is pre-emptive, if for example they knew or believed he had a gun and he was refusing to co-operate but went for his pocket then they could justify shooting him - not to kill but they could have been a miss aim etc etc. It will all come out eventually as to what actually happened and if the officers at the time were in the wrong then they could be arrested themselves and charged with something. In my news an area of Cheshire (Warrington) people have been trying to organise a riot over facebook and twitter. Police have got the sites to take it all down and i have been told that the police have made a few arrests for Inciting public order. Also no police officers have been allowed to go home 'just in case'. And cheshire like almost every other force have sent down some riot trained officers to london.

Radio on the whole annoys me with all the talking. But i do quite like Manchester Capital FM, on the way to work the morning 'team' are quite funny and tend to play good songs. But then listening to the adverts annoys me as well!

If it does, then the army will have to be called in, i can't see any other way. I'm still watching sky news and there is a reporter on the phone watching stuff going on in Hackey where places are being kicked in etc and it sounds like there is simply not enough riot police available to get there, scary stuff!

If this starts to spread all over the country then we will be in major trouble. Other forces such as mine (cheshire) do not have the number of riot trained officers available to handle such things. I really hope the birmingham ones is just a isolated incident and wont spread elsewhere.

Erm no? The PM is the leader of the country is he not? And when something 'big' happens i feel that they should be seen and make a statement of sorts, condeming what has happened, calling for calm etc even on his holiday he can do that. It has taken him almost three days to come to this decision. All i have seen on the news on the first day was a local MP calling for calm. It isn't a lot but he should have been seen to be doing something. imo. And yes i know he is coming back to hold a crisis meeting but my point was we havn't heard anything from him at all, unless i missed something?

Sky news are just reporting that the PM has finally got off his arse and is flying back from his holiday overnight, hosting some meeting in the morning to 'talk'.

Ah, my bad. I have got sky news on and they have 'mentioned' Birmingham but yeah they are not covering it. This shit is just stupid and enraging! Surely it can't get any worse?

Just watching the news now, looks like more trouble tonight but no where near as bad, in Enfield (i don't know London but i am assuming it isn't far from Tottenham). Riot Police were already out in force, some looting was done again tonight though and another police car damaged + buildings. Although as the police were better in numbers they seem to have made some arrests in relation too tonights actions.

I would still like to hink that cat woman is still going to have a mask with some 'ears'. As even in Nolans universe of more 'serious' styles he still left Batman with ears so i can't see why he would decide to not give her any. It is possible that in that above scene Batman is dealing with Bane/fight/whatever and Catman comes along and nicks his bike!

So i am sure most of you have probably heard the news about the riot last night. It seems to have stemed from a male being shot dead by police on thursday after a police officer was shot by the man. A small protest was outside a police station demanding answers etc (which was a bit silly considering the IPCC would have to investigate this - which would be normal considering police have killed a man so it is automatic that they look into it to check 'all was done lawfully', and would take time). One thing lead to another and ended with two police cars, a london bus, another vehicles, buildings with businesses/flats all set alight, other businesses were looted etc etc. Police officers and other people injured and had to be taken to hospital.

£10 from my local ASDA. Never watched it but heard it was good and i was very impressed with the price for a new blu ray!
