  1. Ape Escape I was craving an RPG but couldn't settle on one so I decided to give the game that let's you catch apes a go. Spent about 3 1/2 hours with it over the course of yesterday and, as you can see, managed to get the Platinum right before today arrived It's a game that definitely shows its age and has quit a bit of jank, but it is a fantastic showcase of the classic DualShock which revolutionized video game controllers (and in turn video games as a whole) by introducing a second analog stick. In this game you don't use the right analog stick for camera movement - thankfully, this has changed and camera movement on the right stick has become the norm. Instead, it functions as a means to use several gadgets. You can swing a net around to catch those stupid little apes, you smack stuff with a stick, control an RC car and more. And with all that at your disposal you go through a few levels, beat a few bosses and eventually watch the credits. Enjoyed my time with it, even though it was sometimes a little annoying thanks to weird camera movements and imprecise platforming. Definitely a much better escape than the artful one.
  2. I need this like right now.
  3. Soooo...what does this mean now for your country? I'm not into your politics because it seems like even more of a mess than ours But with Johnson gone what will happen now?
  4. The Artful Escape A boring 2D walking/jumping simulator with the occasional round of piss easy Simon Says. The game's only redeeming features are its gorgeous graphics and slick soundtrack.
  5. Hey, have you looked at what day it is today? IT'S GONNA BLOW YOUR FUCKING MIND!
  6. What? But people kept saying it'll be pushed to 2023 Anyways, now that the release date has been set, it's time for people to complain about the fact the haven't seen much of the game
  7. Sooo, Arcadegeddon is just pure fun Even solo I'm enjoying it a lot right now. Here's how it goes: start a run kill stuff collect stuff do some challenges (mostly king of the hill, destroy this and that, kill boss) kill more stuff collect more stuff rinse and repeat until you die or quit your run With the incredible gunplay and movement it's just a joy. It's a little rough around certain edges and it will need a constant influx of content to stay afloat, but for now it's really good (of course, there's some MTX shenanigans but aside from the - I hate that shit - Premium cosmectics, everything seems to be unlockable by simply playing the game)
  8. It's there now. Completed the tutorial and it seems like it could be a lot of fun. Solo probably not for very long, but in co-op this might be an absolute delight. My mates aren't responding to my suggestion to give it a go together, though Edit: By the way, if you're into that kind of music, check out the game's playlist on Spotify. It's got some bangers.
  9. Very fun sequel. Cool story, awesome Nexomon, challenging free DLC that I probably won't finish for a while, 'cause there's sooooo many games to play A few things are a little annoying, though, mainly the menu navigation for certain mechanics and the horrible legendary spawn rates. It's the reason why I most likely won't bother with the Platinum Still, both Nexomon titles further prove that I don't need Nintendo devices anymore. Their games are just irrelevant to me, both because I don't enjoy them and because there are better alternatives everywhere else.
  10. I was talking about a belt on a skirt
  11. Never played it, but looking at that picture I can guess what kind of outrage will appear...
  12. Essential games are up. Arcadegeddon hasn't gotten its full release update, yet, though.
  13. Is it the long version of "Star Ocean still looks better than Xenoblade Chronicles 3?"
  14. Holy shit, almost the exact same thing happened to me about 10 years ago This was basically the first Delayed Input I've watched. Sooo...what is this series about? He's just talking about recent gaming news?
  15. Man, I've read "Willy Wars" and immediately thought: "Hey, that's a nice euphemism for wanking" (or Dingdong Battles @darksnowman ) Oh boy...I do wish there were some wars with weird names back in the days. "Kids, today we'll learn about the Dingdong Battles of 1876, the predecessor to the Willy Wars that were fought 30 years later"
  16. You're gonna love the final two episodes that will release today. Ep 8 will run 1 hour 25 minutes. Ep 9 clocks in at a whooping 2 1/2 hours Can't wait. In other news: Started watching Peaky Blinders last night after a recommendation from a mate. The visuals and atmosphere are top-notch. Not sure about the story, as I'm only one episode in, but it could be great. Had to turn on the subtitles. Some characters mumble a lot. And, not sure how to call it, the "old-timey" English is pretty new for me, as weird as that sounds.
  17. Oh, I didn't notice that nothing happened today. I was too busy playing games Some people really just need to put on a video game and leave the internet for a while.
  18. Yup, don't stop sharing your joy @Happenstance I'm not talking about the market. I'm talking about my life. I need a new PSVita Agreed. A handheld that could play digital PS4 titles and give access to PS5 remote play (and streaming of PS3 games) coud work. I doubt that the market for that is big enough to warrant an investment from Sony, though.
  19. Same. It's a device I'm very interested in myself. A little too pricey for me right now, but maybe in a few years I'll be able to acquire an eventual successor. A mate has one, and I've tried it...it's incredible. The only problem: Now that there is a serious competitor in the handheld market...there's even less of a probability (down from 0.001%) that Sony will make a PSVita 2
  20. What a surprise Crazy good month Hope my mates will try Arcadegeddon with me.
  21. Second goal I gave you Is this the politically correct term for cock fight?
  22. We told you to let Death Stranding go
  23. 2022, which is the fucking third horrible year in a row, is now halfway complete. With all the shit that's going in the world, it's time to celebrate our biggest hobby: console wars video games. Wooohoooo. So tell us. How were the first 6 months for you gaming-wise? How many games have you played? Favourites? GOTY contender (or winner already)? I've been keeping track of games this year as I have done last year. However, I have dropped the "games abandoned/finished" category as I don't really care about that anymore. If a game is so bad that it makes me drop it, it's not even worth mentioning in any statistic Which is why I'm only going with platforms, backlog? yes,no,maybe,I don't know, can you repeat the question? and total score. So far, I've played 40 games this year on 8 different platforms: No surprise, Sony devices dominate. There's nothing interesting coming from Nintendo and MS for me, so there's the explanation. I've decided to separate the games I've bought and the games I've gotten through PS+ to see how the sub impacts my gaming habits. I've played the Halo series via GamePass, but since I've only subbed to that service for 2 months to do just that, I've decided to put them into the "No" group. Pretty happy with the 40/60 distribution. The last 3 games I've played came from PS+ Massive Dingus Edition. Pretty sure it'll be a big part of my gaming environment for the remainder of the year. Other than that: So far, 4 games have gotten 10/10 points. The best is of course: Elden Ring. It'll most likely win GOTY for me. Unless the next GoW will be released in 2022 and is as good as the first (and if I buy/finish it this year). Surprise hit: Vampire Survivors. Disappointment: Sekiro (runner up: Tales of Arise). Worst game: Halo 2, thanks to the most game crashes I've ever experienced. Now it's your turn
  24. Ohhhh, so this is what One Step From Eden came from.
