  1. It's really good. I'm up to Episode 5 now. Lots of insights to the shooting process. I also enjoy hearing actors/actresses talking about their journey with the show. I'm excited for the second season to start on Friday. My friend and I have reached episode 7 a few days ago (i.e. the episode where it reeeaaaallyyy gets going). I cannot wait to see her reaction to everything that will unfold from now on.
  2. Yeah...after 3 hours I'm done. It's way too easy, there's no real variety with the stages (there are only 3 and they play out the same) and it's just boring after a while Well, first game of my 2025 pledge is done:
  3. Started playing 20 Minutes Till Dawn It's a rogue-lite survival game that provides more player agency than the one that started it all: Vampire Survivors. It's basically a twin-stick shooter with elements of the particular genre spawned by VS. Each run takes 20 minutes to win (duh) and it took me 100 minutes in total to get my first win. I was crazy op by the end. There is a lot to unlock (12 characters, 10 weapons, several permanent upgrades) and of course difficulty modifiers (similar to Ascensions in Slay the Spire). Not sure, how much time I'll spend with this, though. I feel like I've kinda seen it all already? I'll probably just try to win a few more runs with different characters and weapons and then that's it. I'll have my final thoughts ready then. Oh, did I mention Slay the Spire? While the wait for the sequel continues, I decided to delete my save file and start from scratch. This time, I'm going for one particular part of the Downfall Mod. I've had this installed on my Steam Deck for quite a while and I've enjoyed playing with the new character in standard mode, but what makes this mod so ridiculous is the addition of 8 new characters and these are only playable in a "different" mode: Downfall In this campaign you choose a character which is a boss in standard mode, for example: Slime Boss Each character comes with its own set of cards and rules and it's crazy how much work the creators of this mod have put into them...e.g.: These new slimes then are basically your minions and attack automatically at the start of your turn (and have some other special functions like adding block or weakening the enemy). The goal in this campaign is to stop the standard characters you love so much from reaching the heart. You descend the spire and at the end of each Act you have to fight one of these characters. They are the bosses now! And they can get stupidly strong I will try to get as far into Ascensions as possible with Slime Boss until StS 2 is out in early access.
  4. Yeah, not surprising. Still very impressive Wanna watch/listen to another cool run from this AGDQ? Here ya go:
  5. If you're not watching this live right now, make sure to give it a watch once its uploaded on YouTube: The Crazy Taxi run. So fucking cool
  6. @Julius Could you replace my old gaming pledge with this: Decided to remove some games and add two PSVita and 3 Steam Deck games to have some more platform variety.
  7. Well, I said everything there is to say about the game
  8. Awesome. The HD collection is on my wishlist. Hope it'll get a deep sale this year.
  9. I assume you're playing the HD version for trophies?
  10. It should stay there, though
  11. The more I play this, the more I realize that it's just average. It switches form piss easy to difficult (albeit not very) several times during each level. It's weird. There's no real difficulty progression. Some screens you can just blast through, and then there are screens where you get hit a million times. Also: Most of the abilities you unlock are basically useless. Well, not sure how far into the game I am (just started level 10) but I doubt it'll become much better. The music slaps, though. @Hero-of-Time you read that? IT SLAPS, BRO
  12. Nah. Nothing of interest in that list (except for maybe Citizen Sleeper 2, but the jury's still out on the first one). I also spent 12.70€ already on gaming this month and will likely spend big on PS+ in February (if there is a sale then) so I try not to buy more for now Anyways, Bat Boy. I'm slowly but surely (more slowly, though) making my way through it. Reached level 5 and I'm enjoying it. Some of the level can drag on, though, and I don't know if it's me, but the hit-detection with the bat feels off somehow. It's just weird at times.
  13. Just found out there's a Severance podcast now: The Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller & Adam Scott They (and guests from the show) recap every episode until the new season drops (and they'll apparently continue with S2). Guess I know what I'll listen to during the next few days There's also The Lexington Letter, which is a companion e-book to the show and it's canon. I'm going in deep, my friends.
  14. This is incredible!
  15. Just watched The Substance. "How on the nose can you be with your message?" The Substance: "Yes!" Jokes aside: what a movie. I'm not a fan of body horror (this was actually my first movie of that genre), but it worked quite well. It was very blunt, yes, but...it worked. It could've been a little shorter, though. Some scenes dragged on and did so without any real purpose.
  16. I just cooked risotto for the first time aaaand... ...it's delicious I think I did a good job. Yay me.
  17. I'm gonna do one of those, too. But I'll be very liberal with it If I don't finish any of those, I don't really care Decided to only pick games that I actually own, because I'm not sure which PS+ sub I'll be subbing to. Mine runs out in two days and I'm not sure if I want to extend Premium. I might go with one month of Essential, so I can play some multiplayer games and then see if there will be a sale in February like last year. Baldur's Gate 3 - The big one! I mean, what else is there to say. I've been meaning to play it since I bought it, but never really got around to it. Not sure if 2025 is the year, though. Citizen Sleeper - Recently bought it, started it and I like it. It's a slow burn, though. Too slow for me right now, which is why it's on the list Flinthook - Released on PS4 in 2017 (!) and I don't even remember if I finished the game once. It's a rogue-lite so...yeah Hyper Light Drifter - I remember buying it on sale ages ago and giving it a try. It never really clicked, but I'm willing to give it another shot Kaze and the Wild Masks - I simply stopped playing this after a while Metaphor: ReFantazio - Dropped it a few weeks ago and haven't picked it up again. Yet! Seraph - I don't really remember this one Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts - I enjoyed what I've played so far, but as with most games in 2024, I just dropped them for whatever reason The Banner Saga - With the joys of remote play on Steam Deck, an SRPG might be a good fit. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales - See The Banner Saga
  18. After 10 hours, I've manged to win a run on all boards, which means I'm done. Wonderfully unique roguelite. Sometimes RNG can fuck you over, though, which can get a little annoying.
  19. Aaaaaaand just now: I always wanted one of these and a friend gifted me coffee from Italy after she came back from Rome, so now's the perfect time to buy one
  20. Indeed. It's also been renewed for another season. Looking forward to it. After a pretty long hiatus from Severance, my friend and I finally watched episode 3. She is very much into it and wants to binge it, but given her current stress-level regarding university and work that's sadly a no-go. I hope we can continue soon, though. The show quickly ramps up and it's just an incredible ride all the way through. Even though I've watched the first season more than 5 times now, I'm still constantly at the edge of my seat Season 2 can't come soon enough (less than two weeks!). I doubt my friend and I will be able to finish Season 1 before its release, though, so I might actually watch the second one by myself Edit: Just realized this is the Netflix thread...I'm still gonna leave the part about Severance here
  21. Nah. Decided to be done with it after the main game. But it's nice to hear that the bonus levels are great.
  22. Good to know, thanks Played two levels and it's quite similar to Shovel Knight.
  23. Watched all 6 episodes of Black Doves today. Highly recommended if you enjoy spy thrillers!
