Well, that made me tear up It's funny, my parents kinda introduced me to gaming, too. Not by saying: "Look at this, this is cool, this is a form of art.", but rather by buying a Game Boy with Tetris for themselves And sure enough, 5 year old drahkon hogged that little handheld and it grew into his biggest hobby. My parents eventually bought a SNES and my dad and I played Super Mario World a lot. I still play this game every year around Christmas. My dad got into gaming more and more, my mom as well but not as much. They both entered the Nintendo DS phase and I remember my father playing Final Fantasy III (among other games) and being completely absorbed. He died in 2009 and I obviously remember more about him than the occasional gaming session of his, but some of my fondest memories are seeing him playing games. I'm sure he would've loved the Switch. Same as my mom does (for her, the device is basically an Animal Crossing and various farming games machine ).

Started playing Tales of Kenzera: Zau. Immediately made my heart drop. Did not know it's about a young man whose father died, which resonates with me. Seems like it's a story about grief and feelings associated with it. Might make me tear up... Gameplay is very basic so far and I doubt it'll change much. It's fine, though. Wish traversal would be a little smoother. A metroidvania (this one seems quite linear, weirdly enough) should have better movement. It's not too bad, but could be improved. The voice acting is great, by the way!

Nice. Had this on my wishlist for quite a while now. It was on sale recently but it clashed with Astro Bot so I didn't get it. Given your post, I'll probably buy it as soon as it's on sale again

Absolutely, but there was some serious RNG involved with a few collectibles (and maybe even a few glitches) which I did not want to bother with.

Been thinking about what to play while waiting for The Plucky Squire and I decided to install Dicey Dungeons again. Trying to get the most difficult character out of the way: The Witch. Some of the episodes are tooouuuugh. Also doesn't help that sometimes I seem to be incapable of doing simple math. 4+3 does not equal 8, drahkon. IT DOES NOT!

Don't play Daxter For the PS1 classics I'd recommend: Ape Escape I.Q. Intelligent Qube Jet Moto 1 and 2 (they are a little janky, though) Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! H-o-T played a lot more, I think, so he'll probably recommend more. DO NOT PLAY Daxter!

The Plucky Squire (obviously), Wild Card Football and Chernobylite (yes, it's a horror game but it looks interesting) for me. I'm usually down for a Far Cry game, too, so maybe I'll give number 5 a go

PSVita 2 with Astro Bot launch title when?

Soooo, Patch 7 has been out on PC for a few days and will come to PS5 in October. I wanted to start a new game with a Dark Urge character but decided to wait for this patch to hit as it seems to include more content for that specific origin. I'm pretty exited to finally give the game another go after dropping my solo run with the end of Act 1 and my co-op run with my mate's kids being born

Still thinking a lot about this game I kinda want the mechanics of Downsize Surprise to be used for a full game.

And there it is: (phenomenal picture, by the way) I think everything about this game has already been said. It's perfect. The best 3D-platformer ever made. No bloat, all fun, certified bops in every level. An absolutely magical experience from start to finish.
