The Crucible disables your item/level dis-/advantages. There is however the option to play one of the Crucible playlists with item stats not disabled. It's the top of the three symbols on the left hand side of the starmap. I played a match there at level 15 (which was the level at which the Icon appeared on the map) and got owned Once you hit level 20 the "real" game begins. It's like Diablo. Mars opened up for me. Haven't met the recommended level, yet Now I will dive into exploration. I'm still holding off playing PvP because you can't get crucible marks before level 18.

Reviewers and gamers appear to be disappointed with what they've played so far. Main reasons: Repetitive/boring missions, lifeless, poor world-building, PvP is nothing special, loot is uninteresting. I can understand the criticism about missions not being varied enough. However, I've played the missions up until halfway-through Venus alone and with a mate. My thoughts: I had fun playing alone, but holy crap, it was much more intense with a second player. We were coordinating, screaming, laughing. It was a blast. And from what I've read here: Many people had similar experiences. The internet is going crazy with all those rather negative first impressions. "Overhyped", "shit game", "marketing brainwashed everyone", "will be forgotten in 2 months", "only sells because of advertising", "7/10 reviews incoming".

Yeah, it was easy Got kicked out of the game afterwards, though, and then my mate was ready to continue the story with me. Sorry I was gone so quickly.

Can't stop playing I noticed @Sheikah has been playing the game 'til mornin' :p Since my mate is being a pussy and currently sleeping, I'm leveling my second character (Warlock). Reached Level 8. The Titan (which I'm only playing with my mate) is level 11 and awaiting the first flight to Venus. Have yet to encounter a public event. Not sure whether there is a system to it (like every full hour = public event) or whether it's random.

Okay, first of all: Seeing at least 10 people on my friends list playing Destiny makes me happy. PS4 and Destiny seem to have hit the spot for a lot of you guys : peace: Second of all: This game is so much fun. My mate and I are having a blast. Going through the Destiny app I found out that Grimoire Cards offer bonuses For example:Getting the Old Russia card to Rank II (2500 kills in the Cosmodrome, I assume) will earn "Extra materials drop from material nodes in this destination." Damn. Can't wait to see what kind of and how many bonuses there are. The App is awesome. You can view a map, view your Character, organize your equipment. And some people say that second screen apps are stupid
