Used the Wii U last Saturday. My girlfriend came over to play Mario Kart 8. She got bored after 10 minutes: "Aha, so it's basically like every other Mario Kart." Got a nice tax refund earlier this year. :p Just to be clear: I got the collectors edition which is only 10€ more than the standard edition. That nightmare edition wasn't worth the 129€ in my opinion.

Ah I see, I misunderstood your underlying point. I - a guy who doesn't really know anything about business - would've struggled to find counterarguments, but @Daft appears to be well-versed with that and wrote down everything I could've never thought of. Agree. Would definitely be the next logical step. But why not have both: A huge handheld only division which will be their primamry focus, and a 'small' development team for mulitplatform software. Yes, it would be a huge shift and have heavy impact on the company and everyone involved, but it might be something to think about.

While I agree that Nintendo doesn't compete with any of the current-gen consoles, it is debatable that they don't offer as good a package as the others since this is - in the end - a matter of personal taste/opinion (I do agree with you, though, that Nintendo's - or rather - the Wii U's offerings are lackluster in comparison). It's out of question that Nintendo will ever go third party, but still...after much thought and as it is right now, I can't think of any reason why Nintendo shouldn't go third party and release their top-notch games on other platforms. In the broadest sense I'd also love to see only one gaming platform which is supported by every developer (be it Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Activiosn, etc. etc.). This, however, would destroy almost any competition and that - in the long run - will only be bad news for us gamers.

That wasn't really my point, though The potential this studio has should not go to waste on one platform. History shows that these people are capable of creating some of the finest video games and I'd love to see their next installment on every possible platform. For us gamers' sake. I already love them

Even though I can sometimes be a real asshole, I will not just do it for the lulz I agree with that and it's something I wanted to bring up with Lady A, however I have had a lot of shit going in the past few months which blocked this particular issue out. Anyway, as I've said. I'll let things cool down - and I hope they will do as well - and then make them discuss this shit.

I do realize that it was supposed to be funny, but the frequency with which something like that happened annoyed me a bit. Again, didn't mean to offend you, just wanted to point something out and I'm glad you understood what I meant By the way, what do you think about the lack of voice chat? It's a fucking disgrace.

Current situation: I share a flat with two ladies. One of them is in a relationship with a guy who practically lives here. This lady (Lady A) just texted the other one (Lady B): "I don't want you living with us anymore." (for some reasons I don't want to mention. Nothing too serious, to be honest) Lady B then called me, asking whether I share the same view. I said no. I also agreed that it's a bit weird that that guy lives here without paying anything. Lady B then texted Lady A exactly that. Now Lady A is pissed at me because she thinks I want her and her boyfriend out. She also doesn't want to talk to me or listen to what I have to say. Women...should've known I'll end up in any kind of crossfire Well, when they both calm down a bit I'll try to start a conversation.

I get what you're saying, but think about it this way: What you basically did with your post was skipping the discussion on the actual game and going straight to: "No voice chat is such a bad decision."; what's even worse: you did it in a passive aggressive manner, as already mentioned. Then it appears to be not an interesting enough topic for a discussion. I don't want to call you out or let you be the scapegoat but it struck me as odd that you decided to go this 'route' when you keep getting annoyed at others for pretty much the same. Also, I didn't want to focus the conversation on this personal thingy...but hey, it's the Nintendo Board. That's what we're here for. :p
