  1. I have had a PS3 and loved it for a long time, but for the last few months I have been considering an Xbox, just so I can play this. A testament to how awesome the game is and if I had to pick ONE game to be with me on a desert island, as much as I love all Zelda and Mario games, it would probably be this.

You can never tire of this game, there is just FAR to much to do on it. Modern developers should really sit down and work out what made this so hella good.

  2. I won't go into detail, But I'm tending to agree with Retro's points here. However, Goron also makes some valid points... I just hate the fact that the fans have been deprived of racing at a formula one race ::shrug:

Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot, Massa is 31 points up in the championship with Nine races to go and he's second to Alonso whilst being unable to pass despite 'being faster.'

Would Fernando move over...? I think we all know the answer to that.

Either ban the rule, or ban Ferrari (for the next race / take away the team points), but don't let the formula one teams take the piss out of the fans any more, because it's just embarrassing.

  3. Hungary will always be a personal favourite of mine.

1997 - Damon Hill takes the lead from Schumacher in an ARROWS!!:love::love::love:

(Even if ITV did cut to a break when it actually happened...)

I think it will be an ok race, certainly no worse than this. What will be most interesting will be the reaction from Ferrari.

  4. haha, yeah they kept mentioning on the F1 forum, what about the people who put a bet on Massa to win today!

At least we have something to talk about after another Bahrain-esque race. The 2011 regulations can't come soon enough.

  5. All I can say is I feel a huge degree of sympathy for Felipe. I really do. Exactly one year after that horrific accident, I feel shameful after saying he hasn't been the same since, he put in a fantastic performance today...

I can see why they did it, I don't agree with it but as mentioned both McLaren and Red Bull (attempted, lol) have done it this season, and it takes a very, very big man to accept what is best for the team before himself, kudos again to Felipe, a true gentlemen.

At the end of the day Felipe was 0.497 secs off Alonso in qually, and we know how difficult it is to pass in modern F1. Yes it was a great start by Massa, he deserved the win, but the regulations prevented Alonso from showing his true potential. I think the only person that made an overtaking manoeuvre for position was De La Rosa on Hulkenburg. There are plenty of varying factors and it was very disappointing to not see Massa pick up the win on the anniversary of his crash but I really don't see him as a title contender this year now, so for the championship, as much as it pains me to say it, I guess it was the right decision.

All Felipe can do now, is get his head down and consistently stick it to Alonso on the track, like he did to Raikkonen in 2008.

  7. I HATE LEGARD! WHAT A TOOL!...

Gutted for Alonso 0.002 away from pole, I hope he murks Vettel into the first corner tomorrow. I'm surprised he is half a second quicker than Massa, he really needs to pick up his game, at the minute he is the shadow of the driver he was before his accident last year. Well done to Button out qualifying Hamilton...

    Interesting grid for tomorrow.

  8. My dad's mate had them all on his hard drive, every one since '79 in fact but I only remember the nineties which is why I got from there. Although I do have '96 on VHS!! You can watch some of them on youtube in parts. I'm sure the whole '94 season is on there, but as for the rest I'm not sure.

  9. I've spent the last 3 weeks watching the FIA F1 season reviews from 1990-2009 (finishing uni and moving back home helped ). This REALLY reminded my just how much of a dirty twat Schumacher used to be, some of his tactics still make me angry, and even though I have supported him recently, some of the stuff still makes my blood boil. Great talent, but not really the ideal role model.

I certainly do appreciate him being back in the sport, however I think his performances so far show just how crucial it is to his success to have a team built around him. He is certainly struggling on a level playing field and Rosberg is soundly beating him, I'm still to decide whether it's because he's rusty, or becuase when everything is equal he struggles to get the best out of himself/the car etc.

Anyway... German GP should be fantastic this weekend! Wet practice and Qualy will mean when they go out on Sunday, should the race be dry, we could be in for a classic race. The lack of dry running should mix up the field, and may cause problems for McLaren trying the blown diffuser, but we shall see. Should be a cracking weekend and I'm behind Webber to get one over on Vettel, again.

  10. I went into work at 11pm just as the manager was closing up in the office. Started up the oven and started making myself a pizza. 2 days later I got a final written warning and a week long suspension.. Never got to taste the pizza for my trouble. :(

  11. I don't get it.

    Please someone enlighten me on.

    -WTF it is.

    -How you use it.

    -What it's purpose is.

All I hear about is /b/ all the time and I've been on it and just feel like a 3-year old in a shopping mall who lost his mummy.

    Ta.

  12. You're right that there are genuinely evil people out there. Regarding Moat's mental state, we don't really know the extent and/or existence of his mental illness, but I don't think I agree with you on that point. If he really was as paranoid and mentally ill as some sources claim him to be, and if he really was neglected as much by the system, I feel a lot more pity for him than hate. I know my view on this will probably stir some minds, but if he truly was that mentally disturbed, I don't think he can be held completely responsible for his actions.

I agree, I think if he WAS mentally disturbed and if (to quote a phrase the British press love) "a catalogue of errors" had been made by the police / prison / doctors / psychiatrists / social workers then THEY should be held accountable to some extent for not dealing with the problem. I think the fact that Moat harboured so much hatred for the police leads me to believe they had unfairly treated him in the past, again those who wronged him should be held accountable to some extent. However no-one, literally no-one, can justify or excuse the actions of Moat and the fact that one innocent man is dead and one innocent police officer is now blind purely because of his job description.

As for the Facebook argument, I think freedom of speech, is generally a bad concept. Especially considering the level of ignorance and lack of understanding many people who hide behind it harbour. See: Moat supporters, racists, homophobes etc. etc.

Could have been interesting if the English language hadn't have been raped in the process. Just another case of scum supporting scum, nothing new.

Fuck him, people go through that shit and worse everyday.

True, people do and most cope and manage it well. I do however think it's a reflection on the society we've become that this sort of thing is happening and I'm sure it will happen again and again until the root cause of the problem is solved, but that's another debate for another thread...
