I'm sat in a bar on my fourth beer, just changed my outfit on Miitomo and earned 5 platinum points. I got to a thousand points and downloaded Twilight Princess Picross to my 3DS, for free, all from my smartphone. Welcome to the future, Nintendo! (at last)

I'm also gonna have to be out tonight.. I didn't realise the clocks had gone back in the UK and I'll still be working at 8pm. Hopefully next week.

With Miitomo launching this Thursday and seeing as how we cannot add each other using our Nintendo IDs, I thought it would good to have a place where people could leave there Facebook and / or Twitter information so we can all appear in each other's game.... Or app (sorry!). Anyone willing to share their details, please do so below and make sure you check friends requests / follow people back so you become friends in Miitomo. I'll get the ball rolling. Looking forward to answering questions on you all. I think it'd be a real shame to lose the gamepad, or at least the 2nd screen. Although I don't have a working TV and play games through a monitor, I still often use the gamepad in bed etc, or if my girlfriend is surfing the net. I think it's added more to Nintendo games than the Wiimote did, and coupled with the DS I think losing the touchscreen would be a step backwards, even if not all games use it.

I gave the demo version a shot last night on an original 3DS and thought the framerate really wasn't that bad... Certainly much better than when 3D is switched on on new 3DS. Definitely playable. If the retail version runs even better then that's great news.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it The outside section is supposed to provide a little bit of respite from the cramped caves in favour of a bit of pure (albeit short) platforming. Took me a while to perfect the jumps but it is possible to do it at full speed, that's why I love the original SMB physics, they are near perfect. I think the level itself is fairly straightforward, and not too complex but anyway, thanks for starring it

Love this theme, I'm in!

My first attempt at a course using some of the new items, Zelda inspired goodness. Progession requires specific items / states. Lots of hidden items to find as well but they aren't necessary to finish the level, just for assistance. Give it a try, can you get the triforce? : peace: You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse

Got booted out of the first race right before the finish line.... Managed to get back in for the second race, but obviously no points for the first

I refuse to believe this is real, even if some of the ideas sound quite positive, from my perspective.... Generally agree with HoT, it's pointless thinking about it until we know for sure, but man those fireworks on the Gaf are so, so beautiful.
-
I downloaded the demo last night to my girlfriend's 3DS, gonna fire it up myself tonight and possibly edit the end of the review. Seems people on the Gaf are pretty torn about it, lots of people argue that it's playable, lots of people disagree.

That is a ridiculous pounds price compared to the price in Euros. Why should UK gamers pay more? Even a game like Shantae doesn't use currency conversion to screw over the buyer.

I'm in this week.

I also hate this new system. Ended up at just over 1410 but lost so many games because of a weak team.

It's essentially Harvest Moon 2.0. Everything that was great about the 8 / 16-bit era games returns, only much, much more fleshed out. There is level progression for each of the skills (farming, mining, fishing etc) which really adds to the sense of progression. Minecraft style crafting of materials is also a great way to expand the tools at your disposal. The best part is though, you are completely free to do what you want, without heavy financial penalty, so if you want to fish all day and neglect the farm, you can do it. You can explore the caves, expand your farm, improve the town, find artefacts for the museum or work on relationships with the inhabitants for rewards, you can focus on one or more of these aspects and still find a deep and interesting game.

Lovers of the Harvest Moon series, I urge you to pick up Stardew Valley now! Absolutely charming game and unbelievably faithful to the early games in the series. I've been playing it on Steam all day, and will probably continue to do so all night
