Pretty pretty boxart for us

Blimey, this thread has become a genre-fest What the hell is Mathcore? And what makes DEP be Mathcore? Can't say I like DEP myself, it's a bit too Patton for my liking (in the same way as Fantomas and Peeping Tom), but I have to give them credit for their cover of Justin Timberlake's Cry Me A River, which cracked me up immensely

LOL how negative are people here! I went to Paris last year and it was awesome. As for things to do, well it kind of depends what you're after. I suppose I can only tell you what I did and enjoyed: Trip on the Seine - wasn't very expensive but quite cool Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie - big ole science museum that's good fun if you like that kind of thing (in fact that whole area is great) Site Touristy stuff like Eiffel Tower and the big glass Pyramids outside the Louvre Palace of Versailles is pretty cool, especially the fountains and gardens Notre Dame Tour Montparnasse - tallest building in France, make sure you go just before it goes dark so you can get the best of both worlds - you can go and stand on the helipad at the top which is COOL Site Oh and make sure you go to La Défense - it's the business district but the views and the buildings there are well cool, and worth it if you're on the Metro anyway Oh and make sure you walk near the Tower at night - that's very nice as well! I can post a few pictures if you like Oh and I should say - when I was there the place was packed with pretty French girls

Not fair, I'm on holiday when E3 is on! Looks like I'll be caning that WAP connection

I've been thinking about a cricket game for a while. I really don't like the sport to spectate, but playing it is quite good fun. I remember the old Graham Gooch's etc on the Amiga and I'd like to play again!

When I was in Paris I remember seeing some cinemas offering the English version on some screens - probably got the best chance at multiplexes. It'll probably say something along the lines of 'Version Anglaise' or something on the schedule.

This game looks right up my alley, like the classic puzzlers of the Amiga era/SNES era. Unfortunately, I haven't heard any word of it coming out anywhere other than Japan, which is a real shame. http://www.siliconera.com/2007/06/29/go-go-minon-is-here-to-save-the-day/#more-5156 EDIT: It seems this is being called Mr D Goes To Town in other territories (might be worth someone editting the thread title). There's not much info about it though, so I guess it's going to be a while coming! http://uk.gamespot.com/wii/action/mrdgoestotown/index.html

The Bard has phobophobia - the fear of phobias Personally, I can't stand spiders, I can't even kill the larger ones because I have to get close to them. I also have slight vertigo - if I'm near a big drop with minimal protection from falling, I crap myself

Online on new EA Sports games EXCEPT Tiger Woods?
Excelle replied to Excelle's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I think the thing is as well, I don't think I would have minded if TW didn't have head-to-head online play, but all the new features of Gamernet being added to the 360 and PS3 versions sounded great: -

I think golf online can work just fine (it has on the PC for years). It's just a bit more casually paced - you can have a round with your friends of an evening. I agree it would work much better with some sort of voicechat, but still. The other platforms versions of TW have online this time around - why not Wii? -
Lame: http://gonintendo.com/?p=20296 Let's hope there's some kind of mistake here - I've no interest in Madden or NBA Live, but I was counting on Tiger Woods 08 having online.

I'm worried that our greenhouse might get washed away by the raging puddle. Well, when I say raging, it's a bit sleepy at the minute -

My story is really rather simple. 1. Fell in love 2. Had a wonderful relationship for 3 years 3. Lost my love but remained best friends with her 4. Discovered I was really happy in my life with the way things were and all my good friends, never really felt I need to pursue love again. 5. I expect one day someone will come along, but in the meantime I don't much care. It's true what they say, the first thing you have to be is happy with yourself and how your life is. And that's pretty much how I feel. Anything else that comes along is a bonus.

Superfreak! I should probably add 0.5 for having the same crazy pageant woman as the teacher in Donnie Darko. That woman scares me! And Chloe from 24 (drool)!

I saw Little Miss Sunshine on Saturday night - very very good and funny too. If you want something sweet, but also a bit twisted and funny, then that would be right down your alley 8.5/10

Star Wars Exhibition - County Hall - 56k Oh No!
Excelle replied to Platty's topic in General Chit Chat
I saw that at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie in Paris when I was on holiday there. Paris rocked as well -
It was cracking actually, although one of the party was ill for a bit, which kind of put a dampener on things (as well as the rain). A friend of mine brought his Wii, so we got a fair bit of Monkey Ball/Excite Truck/Bomberman/Streets of Rage in while the weather wasn't doing the right thing. I also walked up the Glyders (twice), although some bits were more like scrambling than walking - near vertical slope! As popped along to Caernarfon and Portmeirion. Caernarfon was where we bought all the beer from I was surprised (despite having been to Wales a lot) quite how many Welsh speakers there are in the north-west. I was very confused when being spoken welsh at by the supermarket checkout girl, given I know somewhere around 10 words of Welsh, and they were none of them!

Well it's less that people are less happy, they just need to bring more of it to N-E
