  1. I don't argue the fact that it's wrong and is stealing, just that with something that they don't actually physically lose when someone 'takes' it means that theoretically people with no intention of buying it won't affect their sales either way.
  2. Well...it wouldn't be like they were stealing my things, more like using a device to generate copies of my things then take them for themself. Piracy never seems to stop games from selling well though...it's somewhat 'niche'. Good for all of us I think.
  3. If someone wants to play the game a fair amount but would never want to spend £40, or not have the commitment to keep £30 untouched for several months awaiting a price drop, they may well go to piracy. IMO I think a lot of people act like this, without really damaging the companies since they probably would never have given them money for it anyway. Yes it isn't right people playing something that they should have paid for, but some people want to play stuff yet don't want to pay £40 for it. Crap happens.
  4. I think there is clearly a want to play it, but not a desire you'd value at £40 though.
  5. Scenario C: Wasn't going to go to town to buy it in the first place, and wouldn't have bought it anyway (lack of funds/motivation) I think is what a lot of people are implying here.
  6. You are both right. He is right because downloading a copy leaves a games company no poorer after that download had you soundly decided you would never have paid for it anyway. Stealing a car would actually be taking physical materials that would cost the company once they were gone. But you are right in that whichever the case, stealing is wrong.
  7. Very impressive...both their handheld and home console are absolutely smashing the place up. Who'd have thought this would happen 3 years ago?
  8. Completed this today, great game I have to say. Does anyone have a link to the video for the good ending, or could record it? I really don't fancy putting in a ridiculous amount of effort into getting all the rupee goods to see it.
  9. Something people who know nothing say.
  10. Are you listening in English dubs? Otherwise I don't see a problem. Griffith is their leader so it seems normal they'd be shocked someone can tackle him. Plus he has near superhuman strength.
  11. Yeh I've noticed that but it's tiny. As for the side of the box, there is the "Final Fantasy VI" logo. This will probably be the same as the PAL version since the background would be white on either one because the box colour is white. It won't differ on the side, don't turn down the US version from sillyness! There's no difference in boxes really!
  12. This is the box-art displayed on most UK sites including Amazon and GAME, and they're usually right too: I can tell you that the US version is exactly the same, only thing differing is that the Square-Enix symbol is slightly more centered across the bottom line, nintendo at the bottom far right and an ESRB rating to the left on the bottom. Just a re-arrangement that's hardly noticeable. Also the string of text at the top of the box isn't there, a good thing IMO. So really there's nothing to say it's the US version (unlike many FF games, where the US equivalents are dotted with pictures).
  13. I bought FFVI advance as soon as it came out in the US, got it for something like 11 quid on http://www.videogamesplus.ca. Brilliant site, even if the delivery is a little slow. Edit: appears to be 22 quid or so now but still should be in stock: link
  14. Nintendo have basically manufactured this system to **** the customer over. They are just hoping that a combination of "limited amounts" of digital points, expiry dates and the fact that expiring stars get used up last means that they have to give away less games so people have to buy them theirself, since they most probably won't get all the Wii points this way.
  15. The one you bought last month? You're not some evil eBayer are you?
  16. I just bought 2 lots of 100 points cards. But what the hell can you do with 200 points? Silly Nintendo.
  17. I remember when I was in the Vault areas and Montblanc got killed permanently...I was gutted. Forced me to turn off that did.
  18. The Sainsbury's ad is like the song with all the life sucked out of it. No lyrics and basically just the initial slow repeating part that immediately errupts into the good part only at the very end and feels very forced. The real song is much better.
  19. Home Alone 1/2 plus the Snowman for me.
  20. Circumcision when you're older really isn't a good idea...when you're a baby apparently it doesn't pose any implications but adult circumcision is more complicated and needs more healing. Besides that, why on Earth would anyone want make the concious decision for someone to cut away at their cock??
  21. I urge anyone to listen to "Light and Day/Reach for the Sun" by the Polyphonic spree. I love this song, really cheery. Plus it's in Scrubs.
  22. OK everyone stop with this grammar facism, as lng as no1 is tlkin lyk dis den dats k!
  23. For a grammar policeman, you suck.
  24. How the hell do the circumcised wank? Does it not feel strange directly grabbing or rubbing along the head?
  25. Yeh I bought the boxset on Amazon for something like 12 quid a few months back and Serenity for maybe £3...both new. Bargain!
