There are definitely some laugh-worthy moments, you can tell a lot of time was put into the film and it's really watchable. Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, Ali G etc) is in it too, he definitely has some funny scenes. -
A good place, that, I've ordered quite a few books through them via Amazon Marketplace. Surely I am not alone when I dislike a couple of things about Amazon with manga. For a start, Amazon often sell manga for say £5 a volume or a bit lower. Then when you click "used and new" there are people selling the manga new for as cheap as £1.50 or so. Bargain eh?! Well not quite... they add a fairly steep postage cost to each book, and worst of all is that they seem to send them a lot of them packed individually, meaning if you wanted to buy 15 or so books (as I do with fullmetal alchemist) you may well end up getting 15 packages through the door, prompting annoyance or parents asking if you're in debt trouble. So what I did was look up the sellers on google, found they had their own order sites you could buy from. But on their sites, like thebookdepository, their prices of manga are closer to Amazon's! So really I think there is some sort of packaging scam, where they are really giving you maybe 20p worth of packaging and taking the rest of the money as profit. Has anyone found anywhere you can order really cheap manga from like what the Amazon sellers advertise, e.g. £2 or less? Even £3 would be good.

See Sweeny Todd, really really good and I don't even watch musicals. Golden Compass and Bee Movie are boring as fook, don't bother wasting time seeing them. -

Firefly and Serenity are indeed awesome, I got them cheap from Amazon. The series and movie on Amazon are £13.98 and £3.97, respectively, and you can get super saver delivery with that. My advice? Definitely get them, whoever hasn't! Absolute bargain and great to watch.

My my, I didn't know people unleashed this much aggression to argue a point over anime series. I can see that you're very heated about this. It would seem that you believe you are God's gift, making points that you believe are immediately correct and unchallengeable. And this really is where your points crumble into an abyss; cast your mind back to Orochimaru's accomplices that a bunch of kids defeated; they more than likely trained all their life so should, by your reasoning, be a hundred times stronger than the kids that defeated them. Also, people like Naruto and Gaara have, on numerous occasions, been strengthened by an innate power, just like Ichigo. It doesn't matter if Naruto wants to use the power or not, he has. Also, Naruto acquired Rasengan really quickly, no different to say Ichigo's bankai. That's why listening to your points is quite aggravating - they are neither here nor there. No one is really right as opinion differs, but you of course seem incapable of accepting another person's opinion. So when people watch a horror film, it will be pointless since there will be death? With fighting/action animes, people expect these different techniques and powerful characters combined into a main plot - it does not make the premise of the anime shit. Let me tell you, pretty much everything in anime has been done before, really as long as people enjoy it then I don't see how you can cast your judgement on people for watching what you deem 'shit'. It's not that people can't take an insult, it's that people shouldn't have to take insults from someone who's annoying and forcing their opinion, unable to accept other people's opinions. Forums shouldn't be a slagfest where big-mouthed people say "this sucks", and expect some sort of law to come into place dictating their opinion as fact. Umm...really thank Oxigen Waste (an appropriate username) for trying to get me away from what I was really saying. I like Bleach because it hasn't digressed too much from the storyline, and I like the battles and characters more. I blatantly said I used to like Naruto more, that was before it produced a year of filler, yet I don't like how chakra is stretched thin throughout the series.

Then again, people like you really are commonplace so it's not like I don't know how to deal with you. Ok, you are correct- Naruto possesses a completely logical system. A magical energy substance flows throughout people (anime cliche #99), while obviously Bleach doesn't have a magical flowing inner substance so is completely unrealistic, so we should completely reject the story altogether. And again you're spot on. Naruto doesn't have anything feeding him power, it's all his hard work. Ichigo never trains either, it's all handed to him! I like shit because I like the idea of powerful characters, with one character who in particular develops skills distinguishing himself from everyone else? Why are you so aggressive, moreover why so wrong? There's nothing idiotic about my preference. Oh yeh, reported your post. People like you tend to go around shouting "idiot" at people, and will never learn unless someone capable actually intervenes. You probably won't be banned but *crosses fingers*.

You may think it sucks, I do not. So please, don't patronise with 'got it?'. And the reason Ichigo is pretty much the center of the story, like many main characters in anime/games, is because he's stronger than everyone else. It would be rare to see a character like Inoue as the main character. His power is somewhat explained in the anime after Rukia transfers her powers to Ichigo, as she finds he has innate Shinigami powers of his own that are very powerful. As for "Naruto explains it" - I wouldn't really call Chakra an explanation. It's basically just saying "possessed by a demon fox soul". Why is the demon fox so strong? Not explained really. All explanations are vague, I just happen to like the idea that a person can be 'special' and capable of achieving great levels of power by themself. That, and the story seems to progress much faster than Naruto's.

Actually it's the algae in the water and food they ingest that absorbs light along on a certain wavelength but reflects pink/red wavelengths. Dolphin's can't drink, they get their water mostly from fat metabolism.

But don't you think Naruto suffers from too much 'good luck', if not more? Naruto's nintetail fox conveniently kicks in just when Naruto is about to be absolutely shafted. Then you have the fact that before Shippuden, Naruto won in so many situations with my distant memory recalling only his loss against Kabuto, where he had to be rescued after he was knocked out or something (I think it was by Tsunade). Naruto always seemed to defeat people that he blatantly wasn't supposed to; I guess that's what happens when you lock a demon inside of the main character. With Ichigo, while he defeated people he generally seemed to have trained beforehand (Bankai, with the Vizards etc). Yes he goes underground to train and whatnot, but I'd much rather training took place rather quickly instead of starting a 'filler year' to train. Pre filler year, definitely Naruto > Bleach. But definitely no more. I don't know any of my friends who still watch it, it really went downhill.

It's a very cheap and overused concept that is really cliched. Chakra seems to be a magical putty that can be made to do or explain anything, leaving you to think how much more they can put down to chakra without actually having to think up a better explanation for how people are using techniques. I think a good example of 'technique explanation' is FMA when they explain the decomposition/recombination in alchemy, and that was only a 51 episode series. Naruto seems to have made one simple concept and is stretching it over a neverending anime. You can make anything sound ridiculous if you say "Zomg I have lots of reiatsu, I have a technique that makes no sense whatsoever and I'm doing it God knows how". It's all about twisting words so they sound stupid, to prove a point. At the end of the day, most Bleach characters have different abilities based on their weapon, One Piece for example grants abilities through skill or devil fruits, while bar the odd bloodlime limit, chakra explains nearly everything in Naruto. Not the end of the world, no, but I still think it screams lazy explanations, and how they break down techniques with diagrams to forcefeed the terminally thick in Naruto somewhat does my head in. So when they stop saying "Oh thanks goodness! The chakra I concentrated to my body protected me! The ninetails transferred his chakra into me! You must practice your chakra to walk up walls! - There may be an extra level of depth injected into this tired old anime series.

As for Chakra = Reitsu, I believe reitsu is more a measure of power while several techniques are individual to each character, and aren't just explained down to riatsu (but some are). Everything in Naruto is down to Chakra. Whether it's why they stick to the wall while they run up it, or shown when they break down a character's moves with schematic diagrams for any thickos who watch it.

Like most people have said, Bleach tops it in appeal. Naruto was once good, but that was a long time ago. Bleach is a lot more mature than Naruto, the main character isn't such an idiot and the battling is generally more interesting. Everything isn't just explained by the magical Chakra.

It never gets better. Naruto lost all credibility/entertainment value once the filler year began. It never reclaimed it...how the hell could it? What anime series can show its sorry face after producing over a year of shit? I remember when the story progressed at a decent rate, but now it just drags everything out and the main plot,

*Reloads Shotgun* Probably sticking with cartridges for the N64, ultimately being shafted sales-wise (but IMO, not games-wise) by the PlayStation. They're doing much better now though. -
