  1. Well you are a little right, there's a peak in the middle. But OAPs seemed to still be more vulnerable, and they're the people who would get the flu jab. Also small babies have a bad immune system, and they were more at risk too. So it would still seem bad immune system = get the flu. There's probably little difference in immune system throughout reasonable age children and older adults, so possibly other factors are at play.
  2. I don't know what illness kills healthy people over unhealthy people more, sounds contrived. :p
  3. lol, what a load of BS. Influenza symptoms kill old people and the immune-compromised, not young healthy people. That's why they give the flu jab to older people.
  4. Like the other guy said, neither have I. Put that down to luck and a good immune system.
  5. The influenza virus is so rapidly evolving that jabs probably do little, which is why they're only usually recommended to old people where lessening the risk a fraction may help a tiny bit.
  6. I would just like to point out, there is no way to prevent flu, apart from obviously not going outside or coming into contact with people :p So those offering homemade remedies are wasting your time. ;P
  7. Despite the age of this topic... In my opinion it would be best for Disney to be left out. I've completed both games but the Disney element is the least entertaining part, apart from maybe a Nightmare Before Christmas, because that's just cool. When people reflect on KH2 it's pretty much all about Roxas, Axel, Organization XIII and fights like Sephiroth, maybe the Tron level too. They were what's cool. There's just something about playing through a storyline that has many of the subplots that happened in the films, therefore you know quite a bit of what will happen. It's just such an odd mix - I mean at one point in KH2
  8. All it would take is a fake screenshot played on a TV via some sort of media player and they try to make it look a bit more authentic/blurred than simply showing the image on a monitor.
  9. The PS sticks have undoubtedly the best grip of them all. They're covered in what feels like sandpaper, something rough at least. The 360's is just a groove...really not the best IMO. The D-buttons are relatively obsolete, rarely ever used in pinnacle situations, often just when cycling through things on the fly when you're not in the heat of a battle. This means it doesn't matter much if they're not good. The main stick could be there instead, but IMO it doesn't feel like I'm stretching when I'm using the sticks. As for the weight...we are used to weight, so we expect to feel it. But if you use the PS3 pads a lot you appreciate holding something lighter, because it's easier. The PS2 pad feels like a brick in comparison. As for circle and square not memorable? I would honestly be concerned if people hadn't memorised the button layout since the original Playstation release! I think the PS pad has been chiseled away at since the original D-pad version with the PlayStation. It's definitely better now, but not a whole different model. If people complained about the PS pad being crap, it would have been changed. Just happens that it's a hit and people really like it. I admit the shape could adjust the hand better like the gamecube, but luckily it's not like the 360's. I really hate the 360 pad.
  10. Nah it's not, why else would they keep it for 3 generations. It's great...much better than the 360 one at least. I hate the 360 analogue sticks, even when changing the sensitivity the accuracy seems really poor. That bulky crap on the back of the wireless pads is a joke too. Makes going back to PC keyboard or PS3 pad all the more pleasure, after whenever I play Halo 3 with my friend. The best upgrade regarding the PS3 pad is the weight...why on Earth did they used to make controllers unnecessarily weighty? Saying that though the gamecube controller is better. That really is a lesson in molding the shape to accomodate the hand.
  11. NOOOOOO! "The games are packed in card to protect them in the post" Don't do it! If you can, unless they have an authentic looking (non-googled) picture of a preowned game, don't buy it off eBay. Especially since I got a fake Pokemon LeafGreen that way that refused to save, and so was useless. A common sign of cheap crap is that they make some excuse about packaging and/or say that the box is flatpacked to help protect the packaging. BS! Beware of these scams.
  12. As the topic says, happy first birthday. :p
  13. I'd invite 10 Bom-ombs, all stood next to each other.

  16. System restore to a much earlier time. This helped after I installed Ragnarok Online on this PC. Despite this PC being a beast it for some reason didn't like it (while my old PC ages back had been fine), as a result doing anything was tremendously slow.
  17. If you have a PS3 controller, it comes with a USB cord for charging. This also allows it to be played on the PC straight out the box. Just need to download a driver and presto. Good for me because I like it a lot more than the 360 controller.
  18. Because this guy will be really humiliated, but in fairness he sounds a tool. You can still feel bad even if someone deserves it. :p This isn't much different to someone just boasting in class and then someone telling others what they boasted. He revealed all this to a stranger, it may as well have been to someone in school and people are perfectly entitled to gossip.
  19. No, this is hilarious. I'm actually astonished so many people have had a go at arab freak. This is without doubt one amazing prank, in a school situation there is no way this couldn't be seen as anything but funny, so lighten up people. The guy sounds like a jackass who boasts about things he doesn't have, he had everything coming to him.
  20. You said that the 2 audiences were: 1- people who got the satire but laughed because it reminded them of their stoner mates in the 90's and 2. people who laughed at the immature gags. I don't have any stoner mates, and I'm not an idiot. So I guess I have no reason to laugh.
  21. Strangely? You mean people who aren't immature and like some well thought jokes, not a couple of idiots sniggering in a daft way at stuff? Sorry but that's surely most people in that void.
  22. Family Guy, The Simpsons and Scrubs are all comedies. You're not even right to bring them into a comparison of storylines. But yeh, with anime series unless it's a blatant comedy (e.g. Excel Saga) I do expect a solid story throughout. With SC I didn't feel like I got that. You can say there wasn't supposed to be a main plot, but to me that's like saying I shouldn't have bought a book expecting it to be a good story too. I enjoy watching good stories unfold where characters have a greater purpose. It feels a lot more meaningful to watch it. That's probably why I like stuff like FMA, Berserk, Bleach, old Naruto (pre-filler arc), Hunter X Hunter, Death Note etc over other anime series. Not saying I don't like other series, just these ones take the forefront. It wasn't just the story with SC. I felt that all the characters bar Mugen weren't very inspired. But SC aside, I disliked CB a great deal. IMO it is one of the most overrated series going (possibly second only to the piece of turd that is Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, ranked high on Animenfo). Just everything about it seemed so average; namely the characters and generally just what happens in each episode. I suppose if I watched it at the time it was made I'd probably think more of it.
  23. ...... ......... ............ In terms of just the anime, the ending was one of the biggest cliffhangers anyway. Probably because
  24. I meant that it was slow paced in the sense that, as far as I can remember, the main plot (finding the man who smelled of sunflowers) seemed brought on near the end, with a fair few episodes unrelated. My friend has all of it so far, looks compelling but I rarely read manga. A lack of effort is down to that really. Saying that I have read a lot of the Berserk manga, simply because the Berserk anime ending is the biggest cliffhanger in anime history.
  25. I guess you thought Cowboy Bebop was good too... I usually rate anime by comparing it to other anime. Unfortunately I didn't think anime like CB and SC came anywhere close in terms of character development and story to, say, Fullmetal Alchemist.
