Whether it was a 30% share or an 80% that the person wins with, they still had more people vote for them who actually wanted them to win than any other party. Not like if they gave a half shit about them but their vote still went to them. AV realistically would mean that the few people who vote for small parties first and bigger parties lower down would just have their votes allocated to one of the bigger parties. There's also no real way of quantifying how much someone really does like their number two candidate; should their first choice be knocked out, their second choice they might not like much at all (yet marginally more than another party, hence them specifying it as number 2) yet their vote now counts for the same value as a person who's first vote was counted. Don't vote for this silly system. Hopefully No will win out, AV is not the system we should change to (try proportional representation).

Sounds to me like it depends on your subject. In science, uni teaching staff typically have their own lab and students, and are pretty much always around except for the odd short holiday / conference.

Don't worry, he's either a very good troll or he really does believe every conspiracy theory / scaremongering story there is.

So, Nintendo have pretty much confirmed the Wii is dead.
Sheikah replied to Caris's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Whaaat...? Who in their right mind would choose to shun a console because of that? People don't play the Wii because the quality of games tends to be lower, there's typically poor third party support, the machine is capable of far less and the online for most games is non-existant or poor. It was hardly trendy to play an N64, but I did. In fact it's far 'trendier' to play a Wii, since it is a trend itself due to the large numbers who got one. -
Yeah, regardless of what effect it has on terrorism a man responsible for mass murder of innocents is dead. That's a good thing, for sure.

I'm guessing, about 5 ft away from Shigeru Miyamoto's house, in the bushes.

Wait, what? There was a Terminator 4? -
Minority Report is here, and not in a cool way

Oh man just shut up, shut right up. Stop making mountains out of molehills, find a hobby, go out in the sunshine and enjoy your life. Your cause is not noble, nor appreciated, and not in the least bit purposeful. We happen to have a lot of rights in this country, and we no doubt live in one of the safest places in the world. If you really care so much about rights abuse then why not join Amnesty International; put your flapping to good, meaningful use. -
I have had 720p amine run fine with ps3ms, not tried 1080p though.

Yep, shopto are the bees knees. I was playing my 3DS a day before it was released.

Were Nintendo hell scared about kids meeting strangers online? Friend codes with no method of tracking friends or inviting them to games was fail from the start. -
A lot of places don't ask for the bank password thing, and even then, I'm pretty sure I had to create my own password to activate that. PSN definitely doesn't ask for that. It's true most places do ask you for a security code. But I wonder, how secure is a 3 digit code? This is conjecture, but assuming you had 3 chances to enter it right before your account was blocked, 1 in 333 of the several million could potentially be accessed.

The "tech" you speak of includes an effective online service, which Wii does not have. An outright killer for many titles. Wii is the console that lacked features for games, and was therefore the one stifling imagination. Look at how Demon's Souls made use of the 'always logged in' online service. In terms of originality the Wii literally had motion controls, which the other two companies have since stolen. The other two consoles now have motion controls, good online services, modern age graphics and a good active player base (while the Wii sold lots, I've no doubt lots of consoles now sit gathering dust). Both consoles also have their own versions of the virtual console. It's a no brainer that third party retainers would opt to develop games on superior consoles. That's why it's better if the Wii 2 comes sooner to get people's interest once more. -
Well since we all know we usually just click to buy things off the store without having to provide additional card details, it's obvious that the security code is not required for the majority of psn purchases. So if the card details we provided were obtained, there's really no reason why this couldn't lead to someone using them.

Why people are proposing not to cancel their card is beyond me. It takes all of a minute to do, and is the smartest option to take following such theft (as proven by Choze's vehement 'against' stance). As for 'not enough data was stolen to be used' - if we never entered our 3 digit code on PSN yet could purchase from the store, surely that's proof in itself that the code isn't already required?

While this most probably won't result in us losing our savings, there's no denying that they lost our personal details, meaning we could in future play victim to ID theft. As for the credit card details, it's safer to cancel your card than worry about a fraud unit picking up the trail and your bank reimbursing you down the line.

Cool, a couple of my friends went there. Don't suppose you know Brian Law or Anthony Lee? Probably a stretch to ask but still. I went to Sale Grammar.

Where did you go, out of interest? I know you live not far from me in Cheshire. I often wish I could go back to year 7 with everything I know now, it'd be fun.

For me, Wii has been dead a long time. It was utterly balls to cut back on technology with the Wii, and worse still to make online about as useable as a tramp's chequebook. I like Nintendo's games, so here's hoping this comes out soon and sorts out the issues Wii had. -
Yeah, he's like the other extreme of what's already in place. Instead of 7 as average, his is probably 2, lol. Love his reviews though. I remember back in the day every review site and his dog seemed to use a /100% system. Then they all realised that the difference between an 82% and 83% was pretty much impossible to define, so at lot of the time now it's /10. But then I also wonder what the difference between 3/10 and 4/10 is. Out of 5 just seems more blatant, ie 3 is average, 4 is good, 5 is great. Perhaps for the really great titles you would also give it 'editor's choice' or something, so you could specify a really great title.
-
I can see what you mean actually about why the scores are 9/10 or 10/10 to begin with, to be used in averaging. I can only think that the movie industry constantly putting 9/10 or 5 stars in their adverts has caused us to think anything below 8 is meh. I will say though, having 7 as an average leaves less gradations for the higher tier games, which I actually think is a good thing. 5/5 is probably a better system in fairness.

Bad joke time - If a bullet bill eats another bullet bill, is that considered being ballistic cannibalistic?

As it is mine. Although my situation is a little different... I've been sitting here all day with my hand stretched out, hoping someone will pass me some toilet paper. Auuuwww! What's this? Title deed? That'll do...
