The much more likely explanation is that Minecraft gets boring. It's fun to play every now and then, but the game is ultimately quite repetitive and the updates don't exactly bring revolutionary changes that make you see the game in a different light. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but there's only so many buildings you can craft and so many ores you can mine before you get a little bored. It's fun for me, every now and again. I hardly think being told to only build a one storey house as opposed to a two storey would have made me think "Gods! This game has such lasting appeal!"

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus: The Collection
Sheikah replied to Happenstance's topic in Other Consoles
Apparently going out of your way for lizards/fruit other than for the trophy is a waste of time (although if you happen across some you may as well). The stamina gains you get from re-killing colossi later are meant to be much better. -

You're murdering them solely to have the woman brought back to life. Although all becomes clear towards the end. -
Got this yesterday and had a few hours on it. At first you'd think this was easier due to the health potions that regenerate when you rest at a campfire (like the equivalent of the spawn points in Demon's Souls. But then you realise that the fires are as far apart typically as whole levels in Demon's Souls, and that the enemies are harder. It's also hard to find healing items other than the ones that replenish at fires, and resting at a fire is a but like dying in that all the enemies respawn. I picked the pyromancer to begin with since it's level 1 so you can put stats where you want easily, and the pyromancy is pretty cool and damaging. Helps out a lot on early bosses since you can keep a fair bit of distance and still do good damage (plus it's splash damage, good for ambushes). The open worlded-ness is great, although I'm not far enough yet to see if/how fast travel is enabled, since it would eventually take a while to get back to places. This game rocks! Get it if you haven't. Or if you're fed up of easy games.

On Demon's souls, you could switch between online and offline without any issues. You can only view bloodstains or blood messages online, just as you can only be invaded (against your will) or invade others online. When you played online and lost connection, the game would tell you you've lost your connection and reload the level, but you'd still be where you were and with all the same stuff/enemies killed. It's fun playing online if you can, just because I like killing the people who invade me.

Update: now dispatched, roll on Thursday.

Got an app message saying ShopTo are processing my order. So should definitely be shipped tomorrow and here by Thursday should think.

Madness...look at what you are getting for standard retail price! This isn't even an expensive collector's edition or anything - not aware of any other games that give away tons of stuff in a standard RRP priced game. Also bear in mind that the later editions won't include all this stuff. As far as I know the digital guide will have been compiled by the people who contributed to the Demon's Souls unoffical wiki type thing. Unless things have changed, that was the be all and end all resource on Demon's Souls so it should be good. Demon's Souls already won RPG of the year and system from several places...this is well worth the money! Can't wait. Yes Dwarf, we will be meat cleaving noobs to crap if there is one in this game. Best of luck to you

Yeah as far as I know if you took out the contract a while ago the old conditions still apply (for now). But new customers get shaped.
-
Here is what I can argue (no conceding required). Odwin's comment (that you pointed out as the reason I was wrong) is in fact wrong itself, at least for the new customer that the op clearly is. They traffic shape on their new packages. I am happy that you had a good experience with O2 and that you shared that opinion! That is what forums are all about. But when giving your experience, if someone has more relevant, current information about a service than yourself (that you said you couldn't be bothered to find out) it's usually best to concede yourself, especially if your experience isn't available to new members anymore. I have no 'boners' for any company. If you read the original post in this topic you will see he is looking for a company that does not traffic shape due to bad experience. Be is one such company! If you know any others, feel free to suggest!
-
*facepalm* Shorty...what do you think they mean by legacy package? :p Old customers on old packages. As a new customer he'd be restricted to one of the new packages! The legacy packages are from days of old. Making Odwin's comment pretty redundant in terms of recommending O2 to others.

I don't think you understand the difference between the two companies. Whatever the maximum speed you can possibly get on ADSL2 on your line is what you will get with Be. But if your exchange is busy on other networks they will use traffic shaping, and many of them have GB limits hidden in their fair usage policy (which not all act on, but it's one of those things you wouldn't know until it was too late).

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus: The Collection

Yeah hold R1 to grab onto hairy tufts. Stamina depletes quickly at first, so try not to hold on while the collossus isn't shaking about, to regenerate it. -
Well that's a risk, one that paid off for you. Why bother with risks? Be don't set a GB limit in their fair usage policy. Let's be honest, the topic creator comes in saying he's had peak traffic issues with bb companies. Chances are his exchange is quite busy. The solution is obviously a good company that doesn't traffic shape, which Be is.
-
The reason I say I like Be but warn against O2 is the same reason I like Giffgaff over O2 phone network. In both cases, we have the same company and network, but in both cases the service is importantly different. O2 do traffic shape, they admit this on their website, and their phone network has more expensive calls/texts, worse tariffs value wise and non unlimited internet. Contrast this to Be, which openly confess to not traffic shaping (as well as giving much faster upload speeds), and giffgaff who don't limit 3G internet (at least not unless you use something crazy like 20GB) and have very cheap rates/goodybags. Put simply, same overall company but quite different policies/service. Also note, speed under traffic shaping is subject not only to time of day but where you live and the number of people connected to your exchange/using the internet at that time. So it's quite misleading to use your example to convince him as if he got O2 he could find the opposite to be the case, whereas that could never happen if there is no traffic shaping to begin with.
-
I would avoid O2, they openly state that they use traffic shaping (absolutely hampers P2P around normal times). Most broadband companies traffic shape actually. Be broadband doesn't though, and they use O2 broadband's network basically. Around the same price as O2 and with considerably better upload speeds, as well as some pretty decent customer service. We use them and they're very good.

I completed this yesterday after maxing everything. Loved it, especially the story behind the origin of the world. Anyone who doesn't use the 7th character much should consider it, such a fun character to play. Good time to complete this actually with the current lineup of games from next week (Dark Souls!)

Same, really for the awesomeness that is SotC. Also got it for £30 for the instantness since I hadn't preordered it.

Hey Happen, Would it be possible for you to let my brother on the whitelist? His username is spikesnow12345. He's very well behaved. Cheers
-
And let's not forget the shadow of the colossus plus Ico collection which will no doubt surface on PSN soon after its disc release. Ico I'm not too fussed about, but SotC is breathtaking.

There is a trick to the liver bean. Warp to the interior heart chamber area but don't go in. Stand close to the door and face it and make the time 3PM. Wait until 4:15pm and turn around and run to the edge of the platform where that lone blue orb is. Doing this trick makes the blue orb respawn so long as you save and reload in front of the heart door at 3PM. And the rate of it being a liver bean is roughly a third or better. Worked for me to get both.

Can I be added too? Hopefully get chance to play later this week. Username: Sheikah

Chain attacks are particularly useful for breaking, toppling and dazing an enemy since outside of chain attacks with stronger enemies/bosses/uniques these techniques often fail. The second great use of chain attacks is that you can use moves that still haven't cooled down (particularly ones with very long cooldowns like Final Cross); especially good to use a chain attack to re-use a move with specific requirements (e.g. high tension) right after you used it outside of a chain attack, since you've probably still got high tension. Oh and of course the obvious being that you can do tons of attacks without the enemy being able to do anything.

The 7th character is amazing. Easily my favourite, speedy and powerful, with an awesome move that does tons of damage and forces topple. Let's not forget the omnislash-esque talent art either. Combined with every double attack is critical and every critical heals and what we have is immense. Hax.

To be expected, it is a beta after all. AC:B doesn't have these issues. Can't believe people actually use 3G to play games. Sounds quite unreliable really, at least if O2's (giffgaff's) 3G is anything to go by.
