After 4 years spent during my PhD I can safely say that there are far more women PhD students and Postdocs in life sciences (biology) in UCL in the main postgrad buildings than men. The reason the same isn't true for physics and engineering is because it's bloody boring. Seriously, I had to collaborate with multiple engineers in MechEng and they are an odd sort. It's so easy to look at numbers of both genders in specific departments and suggest there must be a fault with a system somewhere; it couldn't possibly be that women in general perhaps find other areas more interesting than others in which to pursue a career. I mean, it's not like there is disproportionate gender representation in other careers showing the flip side, amirite? Hello nursing, midwifery! This post was not aimed at anyone btw, more a pent up response to an argument I have seen arise in the news on multiple occasions.

This guy has made no mistake and had no reason to apologise whatsoever. The truth is, some people will always be offended by something; the kind of people who probably wouldn't be happy until everyone walked around wearing beige and not expressing themselves. Yes, the shirt depicts cartoon women scantily dressed. But you know what? So what. People bending to this level of bleeding heart bullshit actually offends me (and I'm sure others). So ultimately, he can piss off the cretins who flap over things like this by wearing the shirt or piss off the level-headed folks who see no issue whatsoever by being coerced into no longer wearing the shirt. It's just a shame he chose the latter.

I know what I'll be playing if I don't strike gold tonight... Also to people who have the expansion pass (ie. limited editions) or who have otherwise preorderd the next expansion...the mail man is meant to have a surprise in store.

Best deal for a console on its own at the moment is £300 for the white version from Gamestop. There's some other deals for around £330 with a game though.

I usually stop aiming down the sights when the enemies fairly close to me are dead. So not long. :p When I'm using my primary I think I tend to be run-and-gunning. It's more my ice breaker that I tend to spend time picking things off with.

To be honest, I never find myself needing to see the radar with my primary too much because I tend to not be looking down the sights at any one time for too long. It's a decent perk but I think I'd take the helmet that gives me an extra golden gun shot. Extra super energy and spawning orbs on vex kills is a pretty sweet offset for taking the raid helmet too.

Get yo some hard raid helmet. :p I don't think the helmet is that rare, to be honest.

Only the new gloves/boots will be light 30 from Iron banner (not the helmet/chestpiece). Most people have probably got either the boots or gloves anyway so likely it'll only help most people get 1 piece. I'm also thinking it'll take a good while to earn them now that there's going to be 5 ranks in the iron banner.

If tomorrow yields no boots for me I am going to do the Iron Banner to try and get the Light 30 ones from there.

That's really crappy - DLC available at the outset should really be on the disc.

Did the hard mode again today fully and got the praetorian foil fusion rifle. Just energy and the ship from the final boss though this time...

A more cynical fellow might argue that if you don't do anything tonight that it won't be because the Mafia targeted you; rather, you're feeling Dedede roleblock after-effects. It creates an interesting focal point - people can find out whether you manage to do anything tonight, or find out whether the Mafia try to interfere with you to make it look like such. Feels like this was overlooked. @Mr\-Paul are you in any way responsible for Jimbob not reaching you? @EEVILMURRAY can you confirm whether Jonnas was 'boosted' or merely 'targeted' by Dedede? Because really, he shouldn't have been boosted last night either way (rather this night, if he's town).

Way to misunderstand me and come across as utterly condescending in one swoop. With regards to button mashing, I meant that I had no difficulties up to the point when I posted in just button mashing my way to victory with occasional dodges (and yeah, I was on normal mode). I wanted to know if it picked up, or if was going to feel something like this for most of the game. I've left my Dynasty Warrior days behind me, you see. But if you say it has a high skill requirement then that's good, since that makes it sound like it will pick up. No need to be an ass in your response though; I'm a fan of pretty difficult games like the Souls series which I clear fully, as well as several roguelikes. @Hero\-of\-Time yeah, that story...my thoughts so far have been 'what the fuck is going on?' I'm all for crazy stories but this has to be one of the worst opening/introductory sequences to a game ever.
