  1. This almost broke me... reading Serebii's post, then immediately Ashley's, which was ridiculous levels of true. ^ I don't get it. People cussing at non-Nintendo games = fine, people cussing at incredibly infuriating moments in Nintendo games = anger management problem? Why not just admit you were wrong rather than flip something back at Ashley? I know you're probably trying to 'lol jk' your way out of it, but day-um.
  2. No I did it yesterday, a day after Daft. The stage before the final boss is really hard, so that's where I left when I was with Daft the day before. I ended up using Destiny Tracker to join a random group one stage later at the final boss who cheesed the last boss. It's all about getting lucky and finding a group that know what they're doing (basically warlocks are best for cheesing so I wasn't much use).
  3. I am so glad I tried hard raid again today. Also got a pretty cool hard mode only ship. Aww, fuck yeah.
  4. I heartily recommend both this and the previous 1.5 remix if you ever get chance (the first can be got for around a tenner). I'm not really a fan of the handheld spin offs as it seemed like they were dragging the side stories out too much, but the first two games are amazing. If you like Disney and video games they are basically must haves. A fast paced, fluid battle system combined with Disney worlds, and some of the best music in games there is. Can't recommend them enough.
  5. Hnng. The DK64 style minecart levels. That would be awesome sauce. Nah, I wouldn't. In fact, I'd rather this went to either 3DS or tablet, and they made something more grandiose for Wii U in its place. Something epic like Zelda, but a new franchise entirely.
  6. Well yeah, but they've chosen to go for a home console for some reason, so on the current situation alone I was basically making my point. I was thinking if they wanted to, this would be a decent fit (with some modifications) for a tablet. To me, this just doesn't seem like the kind of game that will sell buckets if it is released at full RRP on Wii U. Unless there are some massive changes to it that I'm not aware of that make it somewhat more epic.
  7. Why are people using such irrelevant stats like these? Time and time again? It's such a ridiculously easy argument to topple. These stats include anyone who makes an app. Even amateurs like you and I. But also the one in a million amateurs like the Flappy Birds Dev. Back to the point: Nintendo are not 'anyone'. They are arguably the most well recognised gaming brand in the world, with established and well advertised brands. Let's do a likewise comparison to this argument - Nintendo should not release any games on consoles since thousands of games are being made all the time (in the form of newly started Indie gaming companies who don't know whether what they're doing will be successful or not). It could still be a fiver (as some games on the app store are). I think the potential audience on iPad/Android willing to pay a fiver would be much, much higher than those wanting to buy it at £40 or whatever with a Wii U. And they're getting their games to the so called 'lost generation'. Some part of me thought he could, not sure why. It was a while back when I played it...but even so, that just makes it even easier to go to tablets.
  8. Yeah? I own the game and have completed all the levels. Come on, give me credit, I wouldn't say the gameplay wouldn't suit a device if I didn't know what the gameplay was. It would be ridiculous levels of easy to control; in fact I think it would even benefit from being more easily able to finger swipe the camera. They could make Toad auto walk in a given direction (or even have it so you can hold down one side to move along in 2D across the typically one block thick platforms), and you could jump with a tap. Thinks like blowing aren't really needed. It's really not a precision game at all! Edit: I just remembered now, you're the one who thought fruit ninja would work better on the multitouch-lacking 3DS using a stylus than a tablet.
  9. Message viewing/sending stability and speed is all I hope for. It's been dire recently. Well, that and YouTube, but we know that's coming.
  10. As opposed to releasing the game on Wii U? It could be a quarter of the cost yet have 10+ times the audience. Statistics obviously made up, but there's serious potential there, and you can't really look at all apps ever released to make the statement you just did given that this is an app that would be made by a very credible company (unlike most apps). And importantly, it's an already well established franchise (Mario and co.).
  11. I was thinking about this recently and how easily this would port to iPad/Android (assuming it played like the original levels). When we were all talking about how Nintendo could get 'alternative' sorts of games that essentially don't compete with their typical console games, this would work pretty well (especially since it's pretty simple to control). This also feels quite mini game-esque (since it pretty much was one) and I think doesn't feel like it should be its own big game; it might do better as an app in terms of appeal.
  12. Come on raid boots.
  13. Pre-oredered for £22.50 from Tesco. One of the best game covers I've seen in a while, actually.
  14. Yeah should be, sounds good!
  15. I found out you can only get the helmet from Atheon, same as the mythoclast. Given that's the case, I'd probably be more up for finding a party that was just on that bit lol.
  16. Me and Daft so far are up to the final boss room (well, the stage right before the boss in the same room). None of us have got the helmet so far, unfortunately. It is basically doable up to after the Templar boss so far, assuming you knock the Templar off with grenades and rockets that is.
  17. Yeah sounds good to me. We should have enough people for at least 3 hours, hopefully the guy on my friends list turns up. Might have said half 1 to him though. Just to note Daft, you're appearing black (NAT issues?).
  18. He is also a hunter. Also I checked DestinyTracker and there's like a live chat for getting hold of players if you need backup.
  19. Just heard from L29 guy on my friends list and he said he's up for it. Me, Daft, Lost, Shorty, Dan Dare and SectionedCottie (his username). Assuming Dan turns up. So everyone apart from lost, let's start at 12:45. Then lost will join us as soon as he can.
  20. I think we would probably be best to find a replacement for him as we don't know how long they will take given it's most of their first time and the last boss can be pretty annoying on your first go. I guess also we all knew hard raid was going to be Sunday but they've moved their normal raid to Sunday. Fair play to them if they want to do it first time but I think we need to try and guarantee we have enough players who can all stick around for long enough. I know a L29 who very well might want to play....will have to check with him when he's on. I think we should start 'unofficially' at 12:45PM then when lost joins us half an hour or so later we'll hopefully have cleared the entrance. Then hopefully Shorty will be around long enough to finish it!
  21. Yeah I agree, we should start bit earlier. @Blade will this raid clash with your other planned raid?
  22. Thanks again @lostmario and @Shorty. Got the awesome Patience and Time exotic arc sniper rifle...makes me invisible while aiming and can also see the radar. Niiiice.
  23. Just a reminder to @Shorty and @lostmario - 20:30 tonight for Nightfall.
  24. Ahh man, how could we talk about the biology of consciousness and mathematics without voice chat? :p
  25. Yeah, when I last used it I didn't really like it. Takes all the avatars out of posts and lacked some features. Taptalk is still by far a more user friendly experience.
