Ooh Ground Zeroes for £7.49? Now that's the kind of price I was looking to pay. :p

Man, don't defend that shit. A small smattering of online features does not air make. Yeah, basically the library that is there already is heavily beefed up by ported titles (many of which multiplatform gamers had no reason to buy again) and third party games. It's nice to look at, laid out like that, but it's the kind of thing to reflect back on rather than to think of it as a sign of things to come. Third party is dead, so don't expect that collection to grow much in a hurry.

80% is illuminating? I really don't get it. If you factor in that the graphical issues will probably be patched soon enough, it's a pretty bang on target score for AC. It seems like some people have come to use inflated review scores as the only way to interpret a game's worth. Pretty tragic, really.

If it helps, Paris is supposed to be one of the most stunningly realised environments in a game. Apparently. But yeah, Black Flag was rated high and the same sort of mechanics will be present here. I think it'll be great. As for the microtransactions I will take option B - Buy the game, but not microtransactions.

@Blade I suddenly don't think the lack of PS4 is money problems with him. :p

Vote: No Lynch

I will enjoy it. Seems like Spore all over again in terms of some people going insane over one aspect that shouldn't add so much tilt (in that case DRM, this case FPS issues). Most likely I won't play it for a while since I've got so many other games...I'll bet they will have patched it before then.

I read this as the suppository Mafia.

Well it ain't gonna be. It has never been. Good stuff will always be spread across multiple consoles and asking for one console to have everything is madness.
-
Literally have no clue why you don't just buy a PS4 when you're so dissatisfied with Nintendo's offering.
-
Seems this game is scoring pretty well... 9/10 Gamespot and 8/10 Eurogamer. Gamespot say it's a return to form for DA.

New games are currently still being made to run on last gen machines, since many are multiformat. You're not going to see too many AC Unity style 'bucket loads of NPCs on screen' and whatnot until they stop making games that can be easily ported across the generations. Aside from graphical touch ups, these games aren't going to look as good as they could.

I would argue that with Pikmin 3, NSM3DW, NSMBU, Mario Kart, Smash, etc... that a lot of this is due to Nintendo's reliance on bread and butter franchises rather than innovating as much as they used to; on the scale that they used to (ie. not just indie/small scale games).

Another cool thing about the Bladedancer - if your vision goes completely dark in the raid, going invisible lets you see. Such a ridiculous perk but has saved me once or twice. :p Crouch invisibility is good for when you're not already in a scrape or are in cover, while melee-invisibility is great if you're already in the shit. If you're in trouble and not near an enemy to melee, activating your super both gives you a shield then lets you go invisible whenever you want by pressing R2 (so long as you set this as your super ability, which I do). It's quite easy to chain up invisibility with these three options, as well as having Shadowjack to extend the duration of invisibility. Switching to bladedancer dramatically changed the way I played; I love gunslinger too but not having invisibility feels like my arm has been cut off. Dat safety blanket!

Amen. Until Nintendo start to follow this they will continue to play second fiddle to the other consoles. It's a shame that they're a shadow of their former selves.

Really? I find that being able to go invisible makes it really easy to survive, most of the time. Getting mobbed is as simple as smacking an enemy in the face to instantly go invisible and get the mobs to leave you alone. Certainly when I've be doing Nightfall, the ability to go invisible then revive all my teammates without enemies noticing a thing is incredibly useful and has gotten us out of a bunch of scrapes. Not quite as good as a self revive, but it's good for reviving others. :p The only boon for me for a second hunter would be to get the boots (all my weapons armour/is maxed EXP). I just know that in doing this I'd end up getting plenty of boots afterwards, leading me to question why the hell I wasted a weekend on it.

It takes up a slot that could be used for another character of a different class though and it still takes bleeding ages. I think I've played a warlock for at least 9-10 hours and they're still only L12 or L13 (made worse since a lot of bounties required doing levels that I couldn't really attempt yet, story/level-wise). All that for a slightly boosted chance of finding one piece of raid armour (that we'll probably get eventually on account of doing the raid every week regardless) seems completely not worth it to me.
-
Bit of a pisstake, really. The only solution to boost your chances is to create clone characters of the same class, which is a real time sink and I won't be doing it.

Looks like the kind of game with nothing new going on for it. The sort of title to just shift some copies to people who haven't hopped to next gen yet. Basically, just play AC4.
