Oh nice, they look like fish bait.
-
I won't be around until Monday sorry, visiting family for Easter.
-
The difference here is that that by all accounts that game seems to have been a hunk of shite, whereas both friend and critic alike will tell you what an awesome game this is.

Yes. Best game on PS4.

Of course! Superfluous checkpoints make games easy. If you can checkpoint every 2 minutes then it means you only need a very low skill level to get through the game. So long as you can get some parts right some of the time, you can pretty much breeze through games. With this, you need to be consistently skilful for prolonged periods in order to get to a boss and take it down. Dark Souls 2 had far more bonfires everywhere and was quite a bit easier for it; you never lost too much and there wasn't as much risk. Quite often there'd be a hidden bonfire too, right before a boss. Combined with it being very easy to summon other players, it felt quite cheap in comparison. Here it's more like you've got to work for your checkpoint - you have to get past some tough enemies to unlock a shortcut, which considerably reduces the time to get back to a boss, but then you still have to go through some enemies on the way so it's not a total doddle.

Loading is only about 20-25 secs for me upon death (although I have a hybrid drive), so I'm not too bothered. I'm going to miss playing this over the extended weekend due to visiting family for Easter!

Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes (Wii/Wii U Online RPG)
Sheikah replied to killer kirby's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Most likely never, can't see any point at all to bringing this here. Doubt it'd be profitable enough on the Wii U here for them to set it up. -
This is pretty much what I'm expecting, but i'd love a surprise or two to come out of it. My crazy out-there predictions: A Super Mario RPG 2 made in conjunction with square-enix, Power Stone 3 from Capcom and a Mario 64 HD remake. Beetch, please

As soon as you even reach a boss (regardless of whether you die) you get 1 insight and can then level up. When you reach the 2 massive dog beasts on the bridge, run past them and make a break for the house on the left. You can unlock a shortcut that essentially provides a <30 second route to the boss from the checkpoint. It's one of those things where once you get some of those things done, the game becomes a heck of a lot less difficult.

Amen. Sequel bullshit to his sequel bullshit. Nobody wins. That was never presented as a point anyway - just that the Wii U doesn't shift many games, regardless of how many units are out there.
-
Sweet, see you all there then! You both up for 3 together right?
-
I'm not sure what you're saying here? PS4 is selling faster than the PS2 was, but you think it could do so much more (in the region of several fold increases over Wii U)? Maybe in time, but cah'maan. PS4 has sold double the number of Wii U units and has been out a year less. You don't think that's trouncing it?
-
Yeah, my bad. What I actually meant was that not enough people are often buying games on it, as opposed to individual games. Which yeah, probably means more that there's not enough games actually on the console as there's not enough games to continuously chart. That again, pretty much confirms what the guy is saying with regards to the console being 'barren' (at least to most consumers' eyes, and if you looked at the charts). As someone pointed out, Wii U has sold almost as many units as the Xbox One, yet few games are continuously sold on the system: I was basically just pointing out that even though the Wii U may have sold not too many fewer units than the Xbox One, ultimately it doesn't mean much if the charts look like this on a weekly basis.
-
Yeah I used the sword. Wrecked the motherfucker. You should have come across the item that lets you buy it by that point? @drahkon I know somewhere you could go
-
Attach rate is the biggest problem though. They may have shifted some units relative to XBO but when you look at the charts, just nothing stays there. It's a multifactorial problem - people losing interest and not enough (and diverse) games coming out for it.
-
Anyone want to do nightfall tonight? let's say 7:45 PM onwards, I'm up for 3. 2 spaces up for grabs.
-
Multiple releases a week maybe not (it varies per week, some weeks they do), but they get quite a lot over the months.
-
It can't. People are buying the games for those consoles (and buying the consoles to play those games). They're happy with it. And there's quite a lot of games coming for those other consoles. Again, going back to his comments as an analyst, he's spot on. There's maybe 1 perceived 'big' game coming for Wii U, and even then that's pretty niche. Even if you like the other games, they don't 'plug the hole' relative to the other consoles for most people.
-
I think Rom was actually the easiest boss so far for me. Hit, hit, run, hit. I remember entering the fight with only about 6 healing potions and thinking I wouldn't have a chance.
-
If you look at that particular comment he made, I completely agree. Ultimately this isn't a question of "personally, do you or do you not prefer the games coming?", it's an assessment of what most people feel about this year's lineup relative to the games coming for the other consoles. Most people will look at the lineup for this year and feel close to nothing about it. And that feeling will manifest in lackluster sales and takeup of the console. He's an analyst so he speaks about the bigger picture and how Nintendo fit in; not whether he personally likes the games that are coming.

Kill it with fiiiire!

Considering historically 99.9% of shit hitting the fan with regards to consoles is, incidentally, usually fan/overheating related...you are absolutely fine to leave in standby. It's not getting hot by being in standby, it's hardly doing anything.
-
It'll only be on to download patches and such (or whatever you tell it to). I doubt it uses anywhere near as much power in standby as when running games.
-
Edit: scrap that, I think your drive should be fine. It's this one, right? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-inch-5400RPM-SATA-Drive/dp/B007NVGWV0/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1427707405&sr=1-1&keywords=2.5+inch+drive+1TB

Yep, you easily get enough to max several (or at least get several to +6). Especially helpful as the Tonitrus doesn't have the best durability.
