Smash Bros, Metroid and Mario still planned for 2007 in Japan... Lucky gits.

This is like an episode of Grange Hill, in fact all your threads would make great source material. It's quite amazing how things are perceived when you're younger. If I saw a photo of one of my mates in a bra i'd laugh but that's about it. I find it funny that alone has destroyed his 'social life'. Should you have gone that far with it? well hell yeah why not that's what being young and immature is all about, fuck the consequences. I remember one of my mates was doing the same to me in school so I drew a pretty offensive caricature of him and showed it to everyone. He never found out it was me.

Neo vs Smith style. Just let me know in a PM or whatever when you're up for it.

I don't think i've ever gone to my window to laugh to be honest.

Games based on wars... really a good idea?
ViPeR replied to CoolFunkMan's topic in General Chit Chat
I don't think i've seen this discussion come up to be honest. Not in a few years anyway. I remember there being a bit of an outcry when Medal of Honor Frontline came out because of the reenactment of D-Day. It's a difficult argument. Should these conflicts be used as a form of entertainment or just left for history lessons? I think it's probably down to personal preference. I don't think it's as clear cut as you're playing a war game therefore you have no respect for the people who died in those wars. With films it's different as they're purpose is to teach people as well as entertain i.e. Saving Private Ryan. I think it's safe to say the majority of gamers don't play these games out of lack of respect. People who play these games, including myself, just want a taste of what the actual soldiers went through without the danger of actually being shot (lol). They want to understand for themselves what it was like for these people. -
I think there's actually been worse than that. El oh el.

I was thinking the same thing but then again, we've had worse topics in the past.

Piss YOU! fucking guy.

Nah because then apparently some alien can come from nowhere and destroy the ship and kill the most kickass marines in their sleep, and so starts the shit that is Alien 3 (awaits Fierce_LiNk rampage). As regards to the news story it seemed a bit futile as they considered Mars in the same bracket as this new one. We all know Martians don't exist...

I miss the old E3 already...

I wish she'd piss off and die to be honest. That's just my opinion.

Well I won't write them off just yet. Metallica have influenced so many present day bands it's insane. Though they themselves seem to have gone down a country metal route . I've heard two of their new songs and they're like their new stuff before St. Anger mixed with their old stuff. Very odd. I hope they play some completed songs in Wembley that'd kick ass.
-
Yeh I see what you're saying. I was surprised myself at what they came up with to be honest. It is a huge departure from their previous stuff and I think it's Phils influence in the song writing that made it turn out like it did. I still love it though and that's just my opinion. I totally agree on all this "me too" approach going on at the moment. I don't appreciate a most of my favourite bands going thrashy and sticking in solos everywhere. I heard some of Static-Xs new stuff and they're doing it too. Solos in their songs just seem out of place. I've also gone off Trivium, they started out with a great new sound and ended up as Metallica wannabees, which pisses me off because they could be so much more. Matt Heafy even imitates Hetfields voice now which is totally wrong.
-
Well that's my opinion anyway. Why didn't you like it Bard? They are one of my favourite bands though so I could be biased (doubt it though ). I guess they're probably a bit too strong to listen to considering you've just started listening to Metallica so the older bands that the other guys suggested would be appropriate. You will become a metalhead though, it is inevitable.

I personally don't see what the fuss is about over Reign in Blood. I think it's the sort of thing that would appeal to me if I was around in the time but not now. I bought Reign in Blood and thought every song sounded the same. However South of Heaven is pretty awesome. You should check out Machine Head - The Blackening. It's just brilliant.
-
Wtf... Anyway yeh, they're an awesome band. I'm hoping the new stuff will go back to the way they were but I think that's a lot to ask given style of the new song they released. I've seen them live twice and am going to see them in Wembley in July, can't wait

That was a pretty awesome episode. Bit dissapointed at the end to be honest. I felt sorry for Desmond.

Spiderman without Raimi or Maquire. What's the point.

Wow thanks everyone. I kinda celebrated a few weeks ago because it was the only time my friends were free at the same time. Got a shit load of monies though, excellent! Thanks Katie for pointing out my age...

I'll have a bash too.

I'm pretty sure a 2D/3D castlevania is in the works for the Wii. I may be wrong though...
-
I reckon Simon Belmont would make an awesome new character.

Maybe it's a good thing our names weren't dicked around with. Though to be fair you can't do anything either of them.

*hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink* . Nor did mine I ain't part of the scene.

What's the scariest thing you've witnessed?
ViPeR replied to Marshmellow's topic in General Chit Chat
A car crash I had back in november. Did a 360 spin in the middle of a road at 50 mph and ended up in a verge. I thank whatever saved me that day, I find it hard to believe it was a coincidence nothing was coming in the other direction in the middle of rush hour on a busy road... If something was I wouldn't be typing this.
