I had an RC car as a kid but I couldnt tell you much about it. As I mentioned in the other thread though @Goafer has had me tempted by the Phantom 3 drone since Christmas and him getting one now is only making it worse. I do currently have a cheaper drone which we were messing about with at the weekend. Had it for a year but never seemed to give it much of a try until now.

I doubt many people would argue that Nintendo dont do a good job with local multiplayer when when the rest of the gaming community has moved onto online then you would at least hope they'd get the basic stuff right. There is nothing to say they cant do great local AND online right?

Thats good then. Such a helpful feature, especially for someone like me who has a slow Internet connection. Yeah I do tend to buy a lot of my digital PS4 games at work these days and then set them to download so its ready when I get home. Hadnt actually considered that.

Did the Wii U allow you to download while in some kind of sleep mode like we have with the PS4 and Xbox One now? I find it so much better now being able to wake up and find updates have downloaded automatically overnight or being able to set a game to download and put the console in Rest Mode instead of leaving it running all night. Hope the Switch can do that.

Very possibly. My problem is that all I really want to play is Zelda at the moment so I hold out hope for the GC VC so I'll actually have something else to play.

Having digital codes in stores only helps the situation, doesn't really fix it. It's the used game market that's makes the stores a lot of their money which is why physical games are so important to them. I won't claim to know the ins and outs of the situation though. I'm just repeating what I've heard games journalists talk about over the years.

As far as I know a lot of the time the digital prices are higher because publishers are still trying to keep stores happy. You have to assume its going to happen less and less until one of the companies finally go digital only but for the moment thats the reasoning I had always heard.

I still regret not buying one of those when I saw it on ebay a few years ago for my collection.

Given how much the Switch already costs along with its accessory prices I'd be pretty damn pissed off if I was forced to buy more stuff to be able to play GC games.

I spent quite a bit of time playing Destiny with @Goafer but I'm also looking forward to starting from scratch with Destiny 2 with everyone here. It'll be nice to be able to play in a larger group and actually attempt the raids!

Looks like Destiny 2 has been confirmed to be coming this year in Activision's latest financial call.

Just had an email from Amazon confirming my Switch preorder for release day delivery.

Makes you wonder what the plan was for Project Cars on Wii U then without analogue triggers there as well.

For me its not that I dont have other devices that will do these things already, its that I do and they will be the devices I will end up taking with me in my bag instead of the Switch, whereas if the Switch also let me stream Netflix and browse the web then I probably would have taken that instead for the extra incentive of bigger games.
