Happenstance

Did anyone end up getting this? I’ve never played any of the Lunar games before but it’s one I’ve been keeping an eye on for my current jrpg collection. Just waiting for the price to come down a bit.

I’m still deciding. I forgot to add Mario Kart World to that version but obviously I’ll be messing around a lot with that. I plan to have two going at once, one platformer and one rpg so I’ll probably go with Sonic or Mario Odyssey then on the rpg side I’m thinking maybe Paper Mario or one of the shorter Ys games like Ys Origin.

Yeah I did look into it first and saw it had issues. Apparently it did get some patches to fix some of the problems so fingers crossed.

Organised all the Switch games I got into a spreadsheet to help me keep track of everything. Figured I’d post it here and keep it updated as I attempt to get through them from next week.

I’ve got enough PC handhelds at this point I could leave them in each bathroom in my house and still have one to spare for my bedroom 😜

I was tempted by Cyberpunk myself but after watching yesterdays video from Digital Foundry on it, while it does look better than the initial showings, I think I’d still rather play the PC version.

Added a couple of extra games to my preorder as I fancied some Switch 2 boxes on my shelf to see how they look 😆 Went with Sonic x Shadow Generations and Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut.

Looks like Smyths are starting the pre-authorisation of payments for Switch 2 orders from Saturday. Just got an email.

ShopTo’s preorders have started updating. My pro controller and sd card are now in the warehouse. Shame Smyths don’t seem to be starting early with my actual console preorder.

Oh yeah I know that feeling. A lot of mine are currently stacked in my wardrobe after my omnibus collection took over the bookcases. Only reason I was ok with this one was because the dimensions are small enough to go in my smaller shelf with my games.

Good to know then. It’ll sit well next to all those Switch JRPGs I ordered.

I know some of us here buy books from Bitmap Books. Did anyone ever get the JRPG one? Was looking at picking it up and thought I’d see if there was anyone who already had it.

It’s not surprising I guess, same thing happened with Persona 3 Reload. I’m hoping they switch out Chie again as I never did like her replacement in Persona 4 Golden.

Just got an email from ShopTo saying they’re starting processing preorders Thursday 29th and per Nintendo’s request will start shipping 4th June.

Yeah it’s very possible I’ll go with Paper Mario. Would like something that isn’t too long so I can ease back into reading a lot in games again before I go for a 100 hourer.

I’ve bought so many Switch games, I’ve got no idea what I’m going to start with when I can play them. I’m in such an rpg mood at the moment and I want to make sure whatever I start with, I stick with and don’t do what I always do and start bouncing between a few. I’ve pretty much doubled the amount since that last photo I posted and more still on the way.

I gave up trying to understand Nando’s taste in games years ago.

I’d love to see Phantasy Star Online come to this. It would be great to be able to play it again without fanmade pc servers. I’m not sure I’ll be bothered with the online pass but that being on there could convince me.

Ys Origins and then Ys VIII. Thought I’d got for an older style one and then a more modern one. Plus VIIi seems to be pretty highly thought of.

It’s possible I buckled and also ordered a few Ys games to try…

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind Bought this a few months ago after really enjoying Shredder’s Revenge and finally got around to completing it this afternoon. What a letdown… Just everything about this game felt off. The sound and graphics felt low quality, the hitboxes and timing seemed all over the place so I never felt particularly skilled at the game (something that made the final boss extra fun with it’s timings!). It just felt bland. Where Shredder’s Revenge felt nostalgic and well built this just felt the opposite.

Well so far I’ve managed to order: Trails From Zero Trails To Azure Trails of Cold Steel III Trails Into Reverie Trails Through Daybreak Now just waiting for better deals on Cold Steel IV and Daybreak II.
