  1. Less than 15 minutes to go!!! I've pre-loaded on the eShop so should hopefully be playing it by 00:02 or so.
  2. Super Mario Party is now available for pre-purchase on the eShop at £49.99, with double gold coins (worth £2.50).
  3. so what is the "Mystery mode" they were teasing? Any ideas?
  4. How come Pokemon Let's Go is available for pre-order on the Nintendo website etc., but not the eShop? How come Super Mario Party isn't available for pre-order anywhere despite being released six or so weeks earlier? I would've pre-ordered both on the eShop ages ago if I'd had the chance. Smash Ultimate too.
  5. I'm about 13 hours in, just about to do my 7th boss, which is H'aanit's. It's getting ever so slightly repetitive at this point because by now I have a very good idea of what Chapter 1 of each character will entail. I'm really looking forward to starting the Chapter 2s though, I'm not far away.
  6. Exactly how I'm feeling! My backlog isn't *too* long though, maybe 20 hours in total. Also, £49.99 (I am digital only) is quite expensive for something I'm not 100% sure I will enjoy, though I have downloaded the demo and will play that first, assuming it doesn't disappear.

I bought it on the eShop sale for Switch as well. I'm loving the nostalgic feelings I'm getting whilst playing this. The larger worlds are great for me and are what I feel were missing from Super Mario Odyssey (the aztec kingdom was my favourite there). I've just expanded the first world, seen Shovel Knight and beaten the boss. It's well worth buying on Switch if you can still get it on sale. Looking forward to playing the rest! Thanks to MindFreak for the tip about manual camera mode.
  8. It's a bit like a sequel, only a lot shorter than the main game.
  9. Physical sales only, as far as I'm aware. Though that *would* explain the success of Zelda last week at least.
  10. Seems it was an absolutely storming week for Nintendo in the UK. Not only did Mario Tennis Aces enter the chart at number one, but most other big Switch releases climbed the charts as well. https://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110015 Surely there's got to be more to this software success than the release of Mario Tennis Aces? A post-E3 bounce or something like that?
  11. I'm really enjoying the Donkey Kong Adventure DLC. After finishing the main game very recently, it's nice to go back to some easier battles again! The pre-requisite for starting this DLC is to have completed World 1 of the main game. Five battles down and I haven't had any trouble progressing...yet. You get to play as Donkey Kong, Rabbid Peach and Rabbit Cranky Kong in your team, and it doesn't seem you can switch characters at all, which I kind of like. Can do without the hassle of that.
  12. I'm stuck going back across the ocean, I can't beat Blooper on the pirate ship. It seems doable, but very very difficult. Any tips?
  13. Quite possibly, yes, Non-pleb here
  14. I hope some of the above issues can be fixed with updates/DLC.
  15. The Donkey Kong DLC is out on Monday, in case anyone is unaware.
  16. Fairly late to the party here, but I'm absolutely loving Steamworld Dig 2 despite never really playing a Metroid game before. It's incredibly well done. I think I'm towards the end of the main game now. Does anyone know if there are plans for a sequel?
  17. Anyone else played the DLC? I'm on the 4th and final world at the moment, so should be getting to it fairly soon I guess.

I finished the main story mode and really loved it for the most part. However, I've just tried the first B-Side and found it very, very difficult. So I doubt I'll go back to it for a while. It's a must if you love platformers though, and now I'm very tempted to get Super Meat Boy.
  19. Coming this Spring.
  20. How many Directs are there usually in one year?
  21. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but my Nintendo Switch console doesn't charge very easily anymore, neither from the dock nor in handheld mode. Is this likely to be a problem with the charger or the console itself, and should I contact Nintendo? Edit: The Switch doesn't work in the dock at all, so must be a problem with the console itself
  22. I really hope the next Smash Bros game is a brand new iteration and not just Super Smash Bros Deluxe. Sadly, I think I can see them getting away with putting out the latter, though the former would do better.
  23. It's downloading....1 hour 26 minutes remaining though?! hmm....
  24. I've no idea how many hours I've actually played, but I'd guess it to be somewhere near fifty. I'm a little behind as I was on holiday for two weeks in California. I took my Switch with me, of course, but didn't get a chance to play it much. Some kids in a mall were super impressed with my neon switch console though! I'm about to encounter my third Divine Beast, which for me is the Gerudo one. I saved and quit just before heading inside. I've only done about thirty shrines, which seems to be fewer than most of you on here. I think perhaps that I'm mostly only finding the quite obvious ones. There are only two or three that I've found which I haven't beaten yet. However, some of them have been VERY difficult and so I've has to rely on YouTube videos to get through them at times. It feels like I'm going through the game at a good pace, and I'm guessing I'll be done with the main story by the time Mario Kart 8 Deluxe arrives in the post in a few weeks. And then of course there's the DLC to look forward to! Not sure if it'll be worth getting for me just yet, it's taking up a lot of my time and so maybe I'll leave it for a gaming drought in two years or something.
  25. I'm up to what I assume is the first dungeon, near Zora's Domain. Just used my shock arrows to smash the pink spheres. Unbelievable that some of you have finished it already . Roughly how many hours did it take you please?
