I'm not really sure how performing to an extreme is a valid criticism though? If you're going to write pop songs, you might as well perform them interestingly. Point is: why isn't Britney doing the same thing? If Britney dressed interestingly, perhaps her SHIT music would be more digestible? Plus, I don't think she's ever claimed to be original, considering you can spot her influences a mile off. And she heart McQueen etc. (And if you're going to parody something, at least make the production as good as the original.)

In some ways, I'd be more stunned if it were just 2/3 selections, like Ozzy Osborne, Regina Spektor and Mariah. Purposefully leaving stuff out, and making us make a tough decision. / not tough, but you know what I mean. Since, I'm blatantly not going to listen to all the songs if there's 5. Don't have that much time to give. --- I don't understand why Mariah's Hero is so.. like... boring. Even at it's most impressive, I'm still so unmoved. It feels like it has no music, just her voice. I feel it could be really good if it were produced better / the backing music wasn't so sterilized.

The film makes a point of mentioning how the power ring is great and can translate languages/alien communication. (Generally that whole section where be arrives on OA is done well I think, since I love the feeling of when characters just believe and deal.)

All my flatmates next year are vegetarian, so I'll probably end up becoming vegetarian too. It's cheaper, which is good [not that that's much of an issue, given they get the majority of their food from skips anyway.] Just buy a bit vat of whey protein and eat lots of peanuts. You'll be stunning.
