I love the feeling though. --- I just rock back and forth, shaking my hands/wrists, feeling emotionally distraught. I'll be the Rose Of Sharon for you. I'll be the Lily Of The Valley for you. I'll be Isolde or Marian for you. I'll come in a hurricane for you. I'll do it for you. Wa-Ba-Boom.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Saw this. Thought it was good. Minerva, you're the absolute best. You're great at fighting. You can turn into a cat. I don't get why you wouldn't read the books? The main highlight of the franchise is the humour, which doesn't translate well into film at all. The films are objectively worse than the books. -
Yeah, he has that androgynous look, which is usually easier for women to pull off.

3 Months Of Nothing / Aimless / What To Do With Your Life
chairdriver replied to chairdriver's topic in General Chit Chat
I'm doing similar itty-bitty things. Reading V For Vendetta. Reading a book about scientific breakthroughs (it's remarkably bad, considering the subject material is interesting). Playing Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Learning the piano. Planning my stunning Kingdom Hearts mafia for HCR (actually spent so much time and energy on this). Doing some maths problems in preparation for next year. Grindring / playing the Edinburgh gay field (lol). Meeting friends. Nothing massive, but everything essential. But the highlight of my day is getting an email from my the ("my" implies ownership, and causes annoying complexes in people) boyfriend guy I'm romantically involved with (wouldn't call him a boyfriend, since I'm still sleeping with other people outside the relationship). Sometimes I spend so long orchestrating a message that I forget to actually reply, and then I have to stress that I don't not like him, it's just it feels wrong to casually reply quickly, because he's so worth my time. [Not that I know much about French (/I did get an A band 1 in my Higher, meaning I'z great), but dans ma vie sounds/sits wrong. If it's acceptable, sounds clumsy to me. [+ obvs my opinion is so pregnant.] ALTHOUGH, could be a purposefully a stunningly literal translation of "in my life", which is a really incongruous english expression, since it reminds me of your life being a massive ark, which can hold stuff, and if something's in the ark, then it's there.] -
My favourite song / video. [The official title is Thank U; Thank You feels wrong] Yes. I love how the Trion has become a definite, definitive, thing. Sometimes I mention it in conversation, then forget it's a word/concept Paj! made up, and people are like "What?". BUT THEN, my favourite thing in life is being content [double entendre/meaning] in a sphere, in a circle. Being famous in a circle. The mere fact that the Trion is only defined in certain circles adds infinitely. Universality is sew boring. The first album has a more consistent dial, 7 long, where the second is 6 long, with higher attack, and a more sparse, yet pregnant/stunning, scattering of powers. Take your pick, both are great, or just don't pick either, and abstract yourself from the concept of picking.

Plus, she's obviously going to play Selene, the Black Queen, in my X-Men: Hellfire Club movie.

That's a totally different thing though. It's a mechanism to deal with a break-up. As a friend you have to create this big web of why the ex is the worst person in the world, when it's quite clear to everyone involved they're a fine person.

This is really interesting. It's like going to prison. The punishment isn't the confinement, it's the fact you're going to be raped multiple times. And no one does anything about it, because it's inconceivable that men could participate in any form of alternate sexuality. Superlativeness doesn't necessarily imply uniqueness, or least not in the way I use language.

Why not have a caste system, so people know what exactly what jobs they can and can't do? [Frankly, the most ridiculous post I've ever read in my life.]

Peebe, peebe, who's Peabo Bryson? Two years ago I renewed my license [Anyway why’d I start my verse like that?] You can suck on a d---, you can suck on my ballsack --No, NO -- I don’t endorse that, p-p-Pause that, a-a-a-Abort that Just the other day mi go London, sawdat, kids down the street Paparazzi, allthat Hey hey what can I say? Day day day da-da-da-day day Coming through the club all the girls in the back of me This aint football why the fuck they tryna tackle me? Really, I pick dude at the bar like really? looking like he wanna good time like really? Said he had a friend for my home girl Lily Lily, Lily, Lily. #TheBest ---- I just love so much. How Nicki Minaj injects jokes into things. I love "anyway, why'd I start my verse like that?". Breaking the 4th wall. Unnecessary, yet adds so much. Who else has the audacity to do that? And I love how she repeatedly genderfucks. "You can suck on my ballsack". My favourite thing. And how she's always surrounded by a group of totally superfluous objectified men. And all of this is done whilst delivering the most crisp, talentful performances. A stunning vocal performer. It's effortless. It's the best. Yes.

I find this really interesting. [i don't actually buy evolutionary arguments, in general. It's my one bastion of spirituality -- that there's more to existence than survival.]

Don't underappreciate the cultural importance of the LGBT movement in the context of the history of the past half-century. It's one of the most immediate consequences of the general social liberation and cultural hyperaction of the past 50 years. [Also, notice that many of the most relevant modern artists have been gay ] I think as attitudes progress further, there will become a point where it will be a thing to do to design one of your kids to be gay, in a sort of nod to cultural memory. Also, I think by the point we have that technology overpopulation will be a legitimate concern, and the amount of gay children will actually increase (certainly in the middle and upper classes).

Vertigo (1958, Hitchcock) I loved. I understand why it's so famous. Felt so relevant and interesting, even today. I loved how the "hero" is actually a really questionable character -- not actually that protagonistic, and kinda creepy and stalkerish. Didn't see the end coming. Was so ripe. Was so prime. Saw it in the cinema; it was a restored version. It had been restored so stunningly in some places, and not so greatly in others. Felt really vibrant and pleasing to look at sometimes. Midge was my absolute best. And I love Madeleine's face and hair. An obvious stunner. Surprisingly great actress too. Just stunningly directed too. So many interesting camera angles, and stunning music choice. And so many scenes which were like "Yes, that was superfluous, but so necessary for my enjoyment and fulfillment as an audience." Hitchcock is my best, I can already tell. Dare I give it 10/10?

[because some people can't really ignore/get over 3000 years of oppression very easily.] / People have differing reactions to things, different perspectives and different attitudes. Just do as you are, as a person. Do what feels right to you. But be responsible, politically and culturally. Challenge stuff that you think is wrong. Set an example. Be an atom in a molecule. Be ür hair. I believe in you. I view LGBT rights as a subsection of feminism, actually. Bear in mind queer theory was borne from Judith Butler's perspectives on what it means to be a woman, and what it means to have a gender. Feminism is on the surface about pay gap, prostitution etc etc [boring pragmatic stuff that will be irrelevant when the revolution comes ], but at its core it's concerned with gender disparity.

The last photo is my best. I love the person in the shop doorway, loving life.
