Abysmal decision from the ref to not let Romania continue through there. Gets the ball, doesn't touch Dumfries, foot is at waist height at worst. Netherlands should be 4 or 5 ahead but they haven't scored and Romania look like they could still put it in the back of the Dutch net.

The funniest part to me is just how perfectly centred 'Europe' is...are we sure you weren't making a statement? H-o-T is purple now. All that grinding paid off and he evolved!

Literally just logged in – looks lovely! Thanks so much for getting it sorted Shorty Can see that tweets from X are embedding nicely now too, sweet! @Dcubed I saw the same, and our views here are 100% representative of the entirety of Europe, idk what you're talking about. Who knew that the majority of Europe hated Breath of the Wild?!

In case the Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Switch Lite being bundled with NSO didn't already confirm what Nintendo's plan are for discounting the Switch lineup, Nintendo will be releasing a physical bundle of Splatoon 3 with the game's expansion pass and 3 month of NSO's Individual Membership. Absolutely wild. Of course the Pokémon games have been getting bundled with their Expansion Passes for a little while more (and like those physical releases boy oh boy does it make the case look ugly as sin), but the bundling with NSO just seems smart, what with the subscription model it gets the player into and how it keeps the value of the game at RRP. Really smart but weird, which I guess is par for the course to expect from Nintendo of all folks. I have to imagine we see more bundles like this as we head towards the holiday season.

Slovenia just don't have the know-how and cup experience to win a shootout like this out of the blue. Diogo Costa though, holy hot damn. Portugal will need to be better against France, though, that's for sure. That game is either going to be a goal fest or, more likely based on the tournament so far, boring as all heck – France have yet to score with their own players from open play, whereas Portugal haven't scored in two and a half matches since Fernandes scored the third for them against Turkey in the second game of the group stage (56'). France will be looking for revenge for the Euros 2016 final, if you'll remember. Felt like watching a Netflix episode on Ronaldo tonight with how much the camera was on him. Can understand his frustration against a "lesser" team and wanting to make the difference, but he's going to need to set that all aside against France next time out if Portugal are going to have a shout I think.
-
Absolutely. Diogo Costa pulling it out the bag so far though
-
Ilicic's pen was so telegraphed people on Mars could've called where it was going. Nice one from Ronaldo.
-
First penalty shootout of the tournament, then. That wasn't on my bingo card for tonight, I'll be honest. Excellent from Slovenia - deserved (and played for) the draw, but hard to argue that they deserved the win. Portugal on the other hand just had everything off by a head, a yard, a tangle. Very hard to call this one. Oblak is solid with pens if it wasn't already obvious, and Portugal have both the classier players but also the crippling pressure. Ronaldo needs to come out and take his first. Put it in the back of the net, make up for the one before and give his teammates a bar to hit. Hopefully not the crossbar, mind

Emi Martinez in the WC final vibes Absolutely should do better though. The keeper is a mile out from his goal, anything but trying to tuck it into a corner was a terrible idea.
-
WHAT. A. SAVE. They said Pepe was out on his feet. How has he not been subbed off? Take him off!
-
Great penalty save from Oblak. First sign that wasn't going in was Ronaldo positioning himself to take it head-on before stepping to the side. He's almost always at an angle, don't think I've ever seen his name and number so square on before. Didn't take his mandatory steps to assert dominance, either. Think the big question after this match is, if Portugal make it through, do they still hand these set-piece opportunities to Ronaldo? If I were Bernardo Silva or Bruno Fernandes, I'd certainly be asking questions. Yep, looks like one of those nights. Feels like he's trying to roll back the years and he's more than up against himself. Taking every free-kick, the one at the crazy angle too – he has scored from that sort of position before...but not for over a decade from what I can recall. Jumping too early for headers, being a bit out of position, or just not getting far enough off the ground. Heartbreaking a bit to see him pushed to emotions by it all. Feels like he might finally be getting to grips with the fact that the game's starting to get away from him now.

Linesmen have been absolutely abysmal this match. Waiting a day and an age to put their flags up (if they ever do), corners/goal kicks going the wrong way or not even going out, throw-ins being given when the ball is clearly still on the pitch. Tragic. Let's see this semi-automated VAR used more places like those please.
-
Four matches. Zero goals from their own players in open play. Through to the quarter-finals. Are France about to shithouse their way to a Euros win?
-
It's taken until the 85th minute of their fourth match, but a French player finally has a goal from open play! EDIT: never mind. It got given as an own goal
-
That Griezmann reverse ball to Kounde was beautiful. Could be an interesting game this. Belgium look like they're happy to sit back but France keep finding space and passes where they shouldn't be able to. EDIT: another clip to add to the collection of 'corners not given because the refs are blind'. Sort it out, come on guys.

The new anime and manga thread! [Use Spoiler Tags!]
Julius replied to Shorty's topic in General Chit Chat
Mugen Train released originally as a film and then was adapted into serial episodes – that way they got the benefit of the box office, and people who couldn't see it in theatres also didn't miss out. So if you've seen either the film or the episodes, you're all good. Personally I think the film is better paced (because it's not cut up into episodes and is allowed to flow!) but I liked the additional content they added with the episodes, they've made it so you really can't go wrong either way -
A Collector's Edition has been announced, because how else are you supposed to enjoy all 12...cm of Shadow? Well alrighty then

Been a minute since I've posted on this thread. Anyways, Demon Slayer had its Infinity Castle arc confirmed to be set for adaptation across a trilogy of brand new films. You thought Mugen Train broke some records in Japan? This is going to be mental -
The game will be open-world multiplayer, per one of the latest uploads on the SEGA YouTube channel, which also showed some new snippets of the game. Quoted text from Insider Gaming.

Unlucky for Georgia, but they really showed their mettle this tournament and have really announced themselves on the international football stage. Would love to see them at the World Cup in 2026. There were times early on in this match where, although needing to ride out wave after wave of Spanish attacks, they really went toe-to-toe with them with how they utilised their counter – and I think might have just given other nations that Spain face in this tournament a bit of a template to work from. Spain were simply far too good for them tonight, though. Yamal, Williams, Olmo, Rodri, Fabian...all excellent performances. Curious to see who has picked up the MOTM? Spain v Germany on the weekend, then. Think I'd give Spain the edge because of how dynamic they are in approaching their attacks, despite dominating possession tonight it feels so far from tiki-taka. I also think Germany has some potential deadwood and multiple weak spots in their team from what we've seen so far – and Spain have a potential weakness when they face counters, but I also think trying to exploit that could open Germany up to a counter themselves with the threats Williams and Yamal offer on the wings. Germany also don't have a convincing defence, but I don't think anyone really has so far this tournament Anyways, Spain v Georgia was easily the best of the first half of Ro16 matches. France v Belgium and Portugal v Slovenia tomorrow, then – hoping France can crush Belgium and struggle to see Portugal having a hard time against Slovenia.
-
And just like that Spain lead. I can barely keep up
-
Kvara deserved that goal, what a shot from so far out to make Simon scramble like that!
-
Between the agonising last few minutes and extra time in the England match and this first 45 between Spain and Georgia being so end-to-end... ...anyone else a bit knackered?

Elden Ring (25th February 2022) | Shadow of the Erdtree (21st June 2024)
Julius replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
GRRM seems to be teasing that the long speculated about Elden Ring TV/film may well be in the works. Was just saying to a friend the other day that Shadow of the Erdtree has answered some questions from the base game, but completely dodged others (so far for where I'm at, anyways). It would be an understatement to say there have been some major revelations in terms of the lore of the base game. With From having bought the rights to Elden Ring from Bandai Namco earlier in the year, I'd love to see a spin-off or tie-in rather than a full-on adaptation of what we've already seen. From having an evergreen project (or multiple) on the side in the form of supplementary material for Elden Ring which goes beyond the typical graphic novel we've seen from them in the past makes too much sense to me. Would love for it to be a CGI project on the level of their trailers, and I'd take an anime project if not that. It'd be expensive and take time, but I don't think live-action could even begin to do the world of Elden Ring and its lore justice in the way their tone-setting trailers often successfully hint at. -
It's been coming. 1-1, great equaliser from Rodri. But still... there'll be more goals to come yet
