Of course not but right now smoking can kill me and if I smoke near someone it could cause his death aswell through passive smoking. So why not just make a law that you are not allowed to smoke in public places? But if you are alone at a bus stop leave it be. And bars, restaurants should decide which sort of customer they want to serve.

That is not my point. But before banning cars because they create heavy pollution I would start working out alternatives and there are alternatives already nobody is interested too. So why is the big fuss about smoking? Compared to pollution and global warming I think smoking is the least of their problems. We once visited a rehab clinic with school ... you can't just tell REAL addicts to stop and take away their drug.

That is what I told those bulimic girls ... "just eat like a regular person it is not that hard you weird" oh and I bet that depressed guy could really laugh if he really wanted too. People who fail tests/exams are lazy and/or stupid ... World is so easy to explain with stereotypes because if I can be not depressed everyone can, if I can drink normally everyone can. I am the norm.

Sounds so easy in your posting.

Did they also teach you that a coal power plant is much worse? Or that cars actively and passively kill people aswell? So I let people drive and except in return that I can smoke ... thats a fair deal I guess. Actually I heard that meat consists of animals ... shouldn't we ban meat eating too? Poor cows and pigs ... they did do nothing wrong. My point is there are a lot of problems in our society which can't be solved by simply banning the cause.

I drink sometimes because I like the taste of cocktails and some beer brands. Can't remember when the last time was I really had too much - must have been at least 5-6 years ago. During the day I prefer ice tea or soda water. I am a typical evening/night drinker. Like someone mentioned before - restrictions in alcohol consume do nothing to prevent serious incidents. People have to try out for themselve where they have their limit. Also bans make certain things much more attractive. Here nearly every TV stations broadcasts about issues with underage drinkers, coma drinking, whatever .... seems to be a big problem but I guess a few years ago it wasn't that different. We need a new war and that topic is gone.

Haha very mature of you. How old are you? 10? Didn't they teach you at school to counter arguments with arguments instead of childish threats?

Alright now just start to ban everything people don't like and may cause health issues. Coal power plants, cars, pesticide (who cares about crop yields anyway).

Get a Ti92+/Voyage 200, let them wipe your memory - the software to solve quadratic equotations is built-in OR do it without a calculator - just remember those 2 easy formulas (when x^2 vs. a * x^2) and you are done

Chocolate doesn't harm anyone except our health system and the people over using it with other unhealthy food. And this whole passive smoking studies are correct but they only apply to restaurants, bars - and nobody forces you to visit a restaurant where you can smoke. And passive smoking outside is not worth to be mentioned in a study. So avoid bars where people smoke ... and since you don't like drinking I guess you don't need bars at all... Compared to cars smoking is a lot less worse. I can't decide staying in my house to not get killed by a drunken/drug using/street rambo .... Uhm when you drive it may hurt people? You might cross a red streetlight when you are drunk and ruining the life of a innocent driver because he has to live with the fact that he killed you. You might get aggressive when you drink.

If I buy a bicycle instead of a Ferrari I save a few 100 grand .... Some people like to drink - because they like the taste, the feeling and the atmosphere I don't think that is soo wrong. If you are not able to control yourself complain at mother nature - she made your genes.

My room, my rules and I admit that if you can't arrange with your parents it seems to be a serious issue for you. In public places outside of buildings I doubt passive smoking is a big problem - after all you inhale millions of diseases every second outside wether its bacteria, car fumes, industry waste - so even if I smoke a few steps near you that is your least problem. In restaurants, bars I assume you either avoid smoking areas or only visit places with a no-smoke policy. Where is the problem? A general ban on something which has been legal for centuries does pretty much cut into my righ for freedom of choice. Whats next? No chocolate? No "fat" food? No cars? For the problem with alcohol and your parents I guess that might a bit to private to talk about here. But drinking also depends on the viewpoint. When do I have a problem? When I need Tequilla in the morning? When the only way to relax is drinking a beer?

So you hate me twice for drinking AND smoking, don't get me wrong your aversion against smoking is completly fine with me. What I don't understand is that you judge people by their habits (even though they are rather bad habits). But I would reserve such strong words as hate for different more serious problems. As far as I am concerned I don't blow smoke in the direction of someone, my breath is perfectly fine and so are my fingertips (smokers tend to have yellow fingers). So what is the reason why you hate me ? I smoked my first cigarette with 14 and didn't like it and stopped. A few years later being bored, alone and stressed I started again and it became a regular habit. So I did not do it to be cool or something otherwise I would not have stopped with 14. I think it is a bit unfair all that anger towards smokers - after all we finance the health system ... and you don't hear anyone complaining about car drivers (accidents cost a lot of money in a hospital), fat people get a stroke much more likely, ....

I do smoke about 3-4 packs a week. Honestly I am addicted - I need the nicotine to relax and kill time. I know it is a bad and unhealthy habit so I either smoke outside or in areas where smoking is allowed. I put out my cigarette if I notice someone is eating - however I do not put them out in a smoking area just because someone doesn't like it. I shouldn't have started and I advise everyone don't do it. It sounds so easy to stop but it is not. Beside the obvious addiction and health problems it is quite an expensive habit.

I am using the WiFi connector which works pretty good - normally i have all four out of four stars connection quality. Though lag on weekends is sometimes quite annoying.

Thanks a lot

Don't know if this has been covered but when my friends hosts an online game I can select any character I want. Like Piranha, Diddy Kong, ... even though neither he nor me unlocked it. On the other hand the person who hosts the game just has the character he unlocked available. My favourite move for online play is jumping over the enemy goalkeeper with toad Anyone else noticed that those high but slow shots (I am sorry I don't know the proper english word for it) to shoot over the goalkeeper doesn't hit as often as in the GC version.

Launch wasn't that full of super games so I guess Ubisoft was lucky that there was nearly no competition - I mean most people buy a few games at launch. I always said that Ubisoft is worse than EA.
-
What does early mean? US/JAP launch early or EU launch early? Because I got mine at the EU launch

Well it is not really a problem but I am a bit worried. I don't use the Wii with the stand so it just lays on the carpet in my living room - fans are not blocked. Now I had my Wii run for a couple of hours (< 6) in standby and now I noticed that the bottom of the Wii (the part which lays on the carpet) is rather hot. Is that normal? I mean my notebook running at 800MHz without a fan is about the same temperature. I always thought that Connect24 draws minimal power - don't know if I am mistaken but with connecting every few minutes there shouldn't be so much heat. Would be cool to hear from others which run their Wii 24/7 if they noticed any abnormal temperature.

Yeah it would have been better to do something which fits on XBOX Live or Wii Live or whatever they will call their rumoured download channel. It is like immy said. If you as a independent developer don't have the resources or knowledge to make something big - start smaller. Just because I can walk doesn't mean I can climb Mount Everest. Same goes for developers - just because you can code Hello World doesn't mean you can set the new standard for console games....

Well in my eyes pushing hardware is you have a system which you are so used to that you can do amazing things even if the hardware doesn't look like it. Crysis only looks so stunning because of the enormous hardware it demands. That is nothing special if you ask me. They don't optimize or try to take advantage of current generation hardware. They rather make a game which says "buy a new ATI/NVIDIA graphic card and a dual core CPU" not a "wow I did not expect to have such a good looking game on my old computer".
-
It would but what would be left on the Wii would be a average shooter. Crysis is not the excalibur of 3D Shooters without its stunning visuals.

Well I highly doubt those claims because after all web journalists have not been able to play Prime 3 and now some guy claims he saw the holy grail? Also there have been some inconsistencies in the whole who posted what on which forum under which alias. I am sorry but I don't believe the story.
