Basically get the professional version as this time the windows editions stack. Meaning that whatever is in the version below it will be included in that particular version with extras. For example the windows xp mode. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/compare Pro only lacks 2 addition features of ultimate. In other words just get pro. Yellow bar underneath all that was your friend.

He only would have been able to get the home premium edition. Pro is like home but with some added extras. So you get everything in home premium and then some. As for the product key etc. they will give it to you on windows 7 launch day.
-
Managed to get the pro version. WHOOOP!!!!!!! Will apparently let you do a clean install too. £39 + p & p including a physical disc because my internet speed sucks.

Until around the 1st January. Offer is now up.

Hey guys just a quick reminder that the Windows 7 student programme is expected to go live tomorrow. I've sorted out my uni email address, cancelled my amazon preorder. Good to go. Something that sparked my interest was: In that case I'm going pro. Linky

What is the trade in value of the Wii at gamestation ?
Ten10 replied to shadow mario's topic in Nintendo Gaming
You know how people call and email IGN sometimes to complain that their consoles aren't working or that they need to make certain games etc. The forums seem to be going pear shaped like that. Call the damn store and ask them yourself. You will get the right quote within a good time frame, and it won't be an estimate. -
There was some new web service that was set up to allow people to sell their digital music. But it was so wrapped up in legality I don't know if it survived.

Not my fav LeetStreet boys song, but I like the little bridge section in this one.

I'm not trying to justify the act of stealing. I just think in terms of the law for certain things the priority is somewhat off balance. Where would someone get the $2 million to pay a fine. I doubt that the artists will see any of it should she ever get round to paying a sizeable amount. Its not like she made millions from building up an illegal empire. I would understand these fines and jail sentences if she were a drug baron. It just seems as if the legal system has piracy out of perspective with all the other crimes that go on in our world.

Well I would have pointed him to google so Daft your level of kindness outweighs mine.

Although it may not be the same as downloading a torrent, the concept remains the same. Taking a copy of a file and storing it for your own use. Although it may not be intentional this is how it works. Then it comes down to where do we draw the line, because instead of downloading music using torrents you could just go on you tube and convert the file to mp3. Artist still isn't getting any money as they've already been paid anyway. And the fact that you were listening to the file on youtube in the first place means you probably never had any intention of buying it either. I know a few young people who due to their limited knowledge just use the recording function of their phones to record the music they listen to off youtube and MTV. Maybe we should prosecute them too. Since they haven't paid for their copy of the music either. I Think the most ridiculous thing about the whole file sharing debate is the fines and sentences. More value is put on a stinking .mp3 data file consisting of 1's and 0's than say a person's life. Throwing this into the mix: http://www.prefixmag.com/news/seven-crimes-that-will-get-you-a-smaller-fine-than/32033/ I think my fav is no. 2 where it would be cheaper to steal the actual CD and get caught than have the RIAA on your ass.

Technically speaking, and I'll tread lightly in case someone feels the need to blow my head off. Every time you watch or listen to something on youtube your browser is downloading a COPY to your browser's cache. That is why more often than not any content you've already seen is still viewable when your browser is working offline. As a proof of concept firefox users can type about:cache in their browser address bar and then list disk cache device. Then it would simply be a case of finding the said .tmp file and changing the extension to .flv

Probably just the memory boost, but I'd prefer if we moved the enquiry to a new thread and leave this Win 7 talk only.

Yeah you login, put the disc in and start it up, and choose upgrade installation.

What Shorty said. In fairness I too had the metroid banner when I landed on this page. Its always good to remember to do the hard refresh to make sure that there is definitely a problem.

Well its not fun if you don't make it exciting is it. Also the game isn't so good as playing itself these days. Requires much more baby sitting. At least for me since it keeps defaulting to a 4-2-4 formation no matter what I do.

In keeping with Tales' post. Probably only funny to a web developer who knows the pains of IE6 and cross browser rendering. Should probably give some background info, but basically when you try to visit http://www.momentile.com/home/ with IE6 instead of the normal website you get this image, nothing more nothing less.

Do you know anyone that has gone to uni? Or maybe even ask someone else on the forum if they would be so kind as to loan to you temporary use of their Academic email address. To tell the truth I could probably turn up at my old uni tomorrow and walk out with Windows 7 for free. But the journey is too much of a chance.

Confirmed by engadget. Its all true. O2 exclusive.

I suppose it could work like that, but I would just like to see things from a Fed trooper perspective. Preferably one that is pissed off with the fact that Samus makes them look like powerless imbeciles. Or perhaps a special team of troopers who utilise the P.E.D? (I think) and just do general butt kicking, with some online co-op missions. Which would never happen. Also to clarify exactly who soldier A is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TA-QJ2d3kk. No youtube embedding due to unrelated subject matter.
-
Yeah but I would always ignore them because you'd have plenty of health to take some hits and still be able to fire off the 3/4 needed super missiles.
-
For the next big thing in the metroid universe I think we need a federation trooper spin off. Instead of being soldier A all the time, it would be nice to have some squad based online Alien butt kicking. But I guess it's been left so late it would be classed as a Halo rip off.
