Why would they ever release Stars on the Switch and then a DP remake on the 3DS?! That would make no sense whatsoever. By the time a Diamond and Pearl remake would be released (2018 at the earliest) a HUGE number of people would have moved onto Switch and many (I imagine as it's what I would do) would have traded in their 3DS. To then release those remakes on an old console would be absolutely crazy!

Watched this last night and really didn't enjoy it. Just seemed like a complete mess to me. It takes a lot for me to dislike a superhero movie as well, I would rather watch BvS again over this! Maybe I missed stuff but so much of the film just seemed to not make any sense. Like why would you ever use those people for that situation? The only one who actually seemed like he could do shit was El Diablo, but then all of a sudden, with no build up, he suddenly turns into some 10 foot Incan fire God who can could speak Enchantress' language? The joker also seemed entirely pointless to the entire movie, like he was only there for marketing purposes. I think it would have worked better if it wasn't an 'end of the world' scenario they were fighting against. Firstly why would you take Harley Quinn into such a situation, she's just some psycho with a baseball bat and a gun?! They should have just had the Joker as the main villain then Harley's inclusion would make sense as she could maybe provide the team with some insight about how to stop him, and the Joker himself would have had a purpose!

Considering how poorly the 3DS Pokemon games seem to run I doubt they held anything back just so Stars would have more. It's more likely that all the cool 'other' ideas they thought of can ONLY be done on the Switch.

No you said... Totally called it, apart from the name that is (still think Eclipse is a better name though) I am very happy with this as it means I don't have to buy the 3DS version and we should get a great looking HD Pokemon game sometime next year!

It's definitely worth bothering with the challenge, I still need the hard mode boots! The challenge isn't difficult as long as it doesn't keep screwing us over like last time! I'll be sticking with my Titan throughout but am up for grabbing checkpoints and doing alts if we get through sections quickly!

It affects my decision to buy it. £4.99 or under and I would almost certainly have bought it immediately. Above the £5 point though makes me stop and think which will probably mean I won't buy it.

It was always the NES and SNES where i grew up, only knew one kid with a Mega Drive. It wasn't until the N64/PS1 generation that the 'console wars' really started and the playground arguments kicked in!

I don't see why we can't do each bit with multiple characters. We could definitely do Aksis 2/3 times fairly easily and quickly. Vosik and the Siege Engine are the things that take the longest so not sure if we'll want to do them more than once. I guess we can see how long it takes us first time and then decide.

But that is surely down to that reviewers opinion? Whilst I haven't read these reviews so am only guessing I doubt they are saying it's a bad game, I don't recall seeing any "bad" reviews at the time of release. Of course the reviewer is going to compare it to Galaxy, the previous 3D Mario game, that is only natural and if they don't like the direction it has taken in comparison then they are likely to give it a lower score. I don't think any reviewers have said it's a bad game because it's different but rather something along the lines of "what is on offer in 3D World is fun, but I would prefer a game similar in the style of previous entries" This is one of the reason I don't really like review scores and generally ignore them, instead focusing on what is actually written.

Surely everything is judged on both what it is and what it isn't? At the most basic they are all games and so our enjoyment of each game will naturally be judged against other games. I enjoyed what 3D World was, but only up to a point that I can enjoy that kind of game. By this I mean I will always enjoy larger, more explorable worlds and therefor, in my mind, 3D World will be 'marked down' because of this. I quite liked the first Galaxy, never really got into the second one as much. Again, the slow move towards more bitesize levels really didn't do it for me. Funny you should mention Sunshine when that had the mix of the two (sort of), bigger areas to explore with FLUDD and the smaller platforming levels/puzzles I'm actually hoping for a Sunshine remake (or at least a GameCube VC) on Switch because I really want to play it again. Despite the dodgy voice acting I remember the gameplay fondly, especially those bitesize platforming levels, I think that's the best Mario has ever controlled in 3D! It is a game I've only played through the once though so I could be misremembering!
