Anyway, breakdown, perhaps not fully updated yet with all the info, but I'll do my best: Hmm, it's just a feeling at the moment, so don't pay much attention to it, but I think black & white may be a couple. Obviously, black knows something about yellow (which may help by the way, with the identifications of the people involved in the murders). White is roleblocked. Bright blue tracks or investigates the unidentified colour. I'm not sure by the way, if there are 1 or 2 unindentified colours.. I'll elaborate later. Seems to me bright green is a redirector. Bright blue follows unindentified, bright green targets both bright blue and unindentified. Unless it's just a coincidence, but I don't think so. Puzzling. First of all, Paj claims to be dark blue. Personally I read this as Pay attempting to do something but getting stopped by dark yellow, and tracked or investigated by bright cyan. What puzzles me though.. Both shades of red are sitting at home. This in itself is a weird thing to include at all in the write-up, and even weirder to include in this specific sentence, so they probably have some relation to this event. Of course, Paj claims not to have done any action this night, but perhaps these were both dark blue / Paj's intended targets. Perhaps there is something else at play here. I hope bright cyan is a tracker, and comes forward (and even if not ). Hmm, blue seems to be an investigator of some kind. Also I'd like to point out that's 3 characters so far sitting at home.. Which I find highly unsuspicious. Like everyone's already posted, Lime = green should be either a good or neutral vigilante (or serial killer?). The abilites aren't stated upon death it seems, so it's not clear what Moogle did to dark green, but i'm guessing roleblock, since dark green doesn't appear in the write-up with an action of its own. And yes, what does dark cyan know? Obviously, if lime is indeed good, and dark cyan knows this, he's obviously not going to come forward with this. So ReZ is, or was rather, a protector. But the mafiakiller got lucky, and targeted the protector first night. And this is why I'm not sure if there is 1 or if there are 2 unindentified persons: yellow has had dealings with both in the case of 2. The first unindentified person "had its eyes" on yellow. I find it too much of a coincidence, but anything's still possible. Either way, I'd love to know what yellow has to say. Ah yes, I think i've got everything now. Although the posts regarding Paj make him seem suspicious, I don't see anything in the write-up yet that would make him a priority, so i'm not going to vote right now. I'd like to know what others have to say first. As for me, my bit of info isn't useful, so I'm not going to say anything at this point.

Ah, so it has come to an end? At least my (quick) death was not in vain :P. Cool roles Diageo, although I gathered as much from reading the write-ups . If anyone's interested in bonus material, I have a break-down of night 3 which I PM'd to Diageo (with some totally off speculations :P).

DKC was my first thought too. My second would be a background from Super Mario 64 (Bowser levels) (again with the N64 Mario games :P). Just looked on Youtube for confirmation, I'm right :P.

Z is definitely Mario, from an N64 game. But I'm not sure of the game.. And my N64 is boxed up at the moment unfortunately . I'm going with Super Mario Kart 64.

Hmm, I have most of the roles I'd like to use written up (which aren't super crazy by the way, for my potentially first game I only want to have some minor variations). But I'm not sure about a certain mechanic I want to have in it yet. That said, if I want to (and you want me to) go through with this, I guess I don't have many actual preparations left to do, except for getting some more experience of course, in playing the 4 other Mafia's on the stack. It would perhaps be fun though, if Cube and I both do the Battlestar Galactica theme simultaneously.

Egh. I saw this video on Engadget. HDR is looking to become the next hype, after 3D.. And I'm sick of it already. The video looks horrible in my opinion. Ok, if you're doing something sci-fi or fantasy, and a surrealistic look suits your footage, then by all means, go ahead. But I don't want to see it in each and every homevideo on Youtube.

I appreciate the suggestion, after checking it out, I guess I can see why you'd suggest it, as far as I can tell it handles things a bit similar to Director (i.e. graphical interface, and the software handles the 2D graphics for you, leaving you to code the behaviours of your "actors"). But I'll stick to Java itself, I'd like to learn all the basics, without some IDE simplifying some stuff for me. I want to be able to do all the graphical stuff myself. Again, I'll see next week if I can do a bit better than what I had last time.

Actually.. The first bit of info I got was a bit disappointing. It was basically what was told in the write-up already.. After the 2nd report, it became clear Maddog was slowly building things up, I assume to the point 'till he just gave me the player (?). Anyway, after night 4 it became clear the killer was that Finish sniper dude, but I didn't really know what to do with that info. "Yo, who picked Simo Häyhä, please raise your hand? No nobody? I'm just casually asking you know..". I didn't think that would be a great approahc, so I stayed silent. As far as I knew, nobody had targeted Gizmo up 'till that point, so I didn't think there would be anyone else to who this info might be useful, and giving it away obviously would give Gizmo a hint to start coming up with some cover-up story. But then, ehh Dannyboy was it not? Targeted him finally, but that immediately gave us a reason to lynch him, so by that time my info became useless. The same story for Gizmo, only shorter.. After his first kill, I was supposed to get some DNA results, but I was already bent on lynching the dude . Never got that report though :P. My reports were my main power, but were passive. I could roleblock 1 person in the entire game, but I decided to use it proactively as a means to get the identity of someone. I was hoping to get some bad guy, but I guess it worked out well nonetheless . I figured it had a protective aspect as well, though it didn't roleblock Ellmeister that day, I guess some improvisation on Maddog's part when I decided to put a townie in jail. Anyway, I really liked my first game here, I liked the roles, including my own, I already PM'd him I thought giving me a passive role would automatically help me in keeping off the radar. Which it did :p. Ah. Do people want to share their other choices for characters? Obviously don't if you plan on using them some other time, but as I don't: My 2nd choice was a Dalek, not a particular one, just a generic one, and 3rd choice was Morrigan from Dragon Age.

Ah people, forget it.. No harm done.. Let Maddog end this game in style please .

In all honesty I wondered why he didn't take the opportunity to take on of us out the previous day. Also: personally I'd consider every townie to be winners, even posthumously .

Yeah me too, I try to keep learning Java, but I always end up forgetting about it and then pick it up later again, while having to go over some of the previous stuff again. Last time I finally got into graphical programming, I had a little test 2D platform thingy, which worked.. Mostly . I have to get back to it next week or so, and try to create some working platform game experiment.
