My response to posts from the previous day (I got online when the day was already over): I did well before you claimed anything: http://www.n-europe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1213467&postcount=296 That actually makes things clear. Jayseven, please don't ever switch me again, it scares me. No I didn't get the right PM, I didn't get any PM at all in fact, from this explanation we can conclude I was roleblocked by dark yellow. Hmm, my vote..
-
Haha, so I was shooting zombies and I forgot all about the PM I intended to send.. So I stayed at home. Damn. I wonder what that list is all about. Anyway, now I can post again, I can respond to some things from the previous day..
-
Yeah, so I just noticed this comment. I wish you hadn't brought it up .
-
The link has already been posted, but it is now updated, so you can watch the video. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/conference2010/presentation/movE/index.html It's annoying to watch in Chrome though, I had no problems in IE 9

I hope so, I think this is too big a title to not be localised, but then Nintendo occasionally (regularly?) known for its questionable decisions.
-
My first reaction is "great!", but I have the same fear Tellyn has. I already found Rhythm Tengoku on DS a lot harder simply because of the stylus controls. it will be great fun, but yeah, plenty of "WTF why didn't it register?" moments.
-
I don't know.. Technically I believe it's relatively much better than the DS was at the time, furthermore, the package seems to be more complete. Anyway, you can always wait for the reviews.
-
Apparently, the release date was announced on the 3DS conference: 27-01-2011
-
So it seems there is a conference of some sorts.. Good I'm still up :p. Finally found a useful site to get info, IGN is way to slow. Some quick interesting things: - Launch date: 26-02-2011 Nippon, March for US / EU - retail price will be 25000 yen (no price for US / EU) - Capable of some multitasking, you could pause your game to read any tag messages you've received for example.. - Old gameboy games for VC now official.. Link's awakening DX and Mario Land shown apparently - Includes 2GB SD card, and several apps installed, some Augmented reality things or something for example. Hmm, somebody has posting priority it seems :P.
-
Dear, I hope not.. Anyway, I'm neither Victor nor Caleb. Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate you, I believe you're the first person on this forum ever, who bothered to put the accent acute on the e :p.

I think Dannyboy's job is done. As for my vote, I'm inclined to vote Chairdriver, no real arguments except to get rid of a confirmed killer, it's one of the few facts I can hold on to it seems.. Hmm. But I'll hold my vote for now, I want to follow the discussion some more. Real-time edit: Did I miss something? Why is Eenuh voting for herself?
-
Nah, it must be a mistake / placeholder price.. They really can't ask that. Even the normal 1000 points would be too much unless, like I said, each part is pretty much a complete game on its own. I don't know if they already mentioned anything about how much content each part would contain? How many levels etc.?
-
Oh yeah, I like the rolling wave too. And I have to admit, the HDR effect in combination with the B&W looks good on your boat picture above, resulting in a surreal image I acually like. But I'd love to compare that one to a colour HDR version and a non-HDR version.
-
I love the butterfly! Lovely texture on the background on that one. That's something I'd buy on print (if I had the money :p). Not a fan of your HDR enhanced sunset though .
-
Hmm, I was looking forward to this, but I have my priciples. Unless all the individual parts are complete games in themselves, I'm really not paying 1500 Wii points if that's what they end up being. That's 60 euros for a digital game, more expensive than most other Wii games on disc. They should take a look at Capcom's business model.
-
One thing I'm sure of though.. I will not include target swappers in my game .
-
So ehm yeah. I think I'm gonna scrap all my notes alltogether, since it's now obvious The colours mean shit :p. Initially you'd think 1 colour per person would make things clearer, but there seem to be plenty abilities who just fuck up the writeup. So, although I think I can get away with it this turn, I'll just see what happens: I'm going to reveal myself. I'm Blue. I'm not going to state my ability, but I'm sure not a killer, and I am even more shocked than you people are (except for a certain someone who caused this in the first place) to see that I "lowered my gun". Things you need to know: - My target was Zell, although it indirectly involves Dyson, but my target was Zell. - Again, I don't have a kill ability. In fact, my ability doesn't seem to have worked, unless Dannyboy forgot something.. I doubt he did though. So not only was I redirected, someone put a gun in my hand. But I'm not sure it was Bright Green.. This has not at all happened to the characters he targeted in the previous nights. I may attempt a breakdown later, but for now, I think I'll want to see what others have to say. Especially as to what are the known abilities, because I too seem to have missed that Tellyn made anyone brighter. I'll have to go through the previous nights again too.

I'll try. A general speculation first though.. One thing the writeup does make clear is there's no social difference between humans and robots, but ther's still a high class and low class. There are Humans with robot assistents, and Robots with human assistence. I believe the "mafia(s?)" are a mixture between humans and robots. I apologize to jayseven for reducing his paragraphs he has written with love to a speculation from me what it's all about in 1 or 2 sentences :p. I'm not sure if these are 2 persons, but at the very least this is a robot investigator, who gets info on players. Jayseven makes sure the writeup doesn't reveal who his (her / its) target was. Perhaps the human assistent is a player, but I doesn't make clear what his / her role would be. So the Preacher isn't a player, but the "gargoyle" surely should be one. And is a robot. But what it does? I think the 2 confused characters are his targets. But what he does? Redirect? The first confused person. He seems redirected. Dmitri is probably human. Not sure what's up with the lift, but I don't think the Doctor's assistant has anything to do with it. Maybe an investigator too, or a tracker? Anyway, one of Dmitri's robot masters is stopped in its tracks somehow. Hmm, someone targeted the mutterer. This is the most important info we have at the moment, as the mutterer is the killer. So here we have a redirected roleblocker who didn't have anyone to roleblock. So ehm, yeah. 2 robots.. I figure the recharging is a protect + roleblock combo. Hmm. A human who is roleblocking a robot with an interesting looking ability, too bad we don't find out what it does. Hmm, so yeah.. A journalist.. I hope he doesn't change the writeup somehow. Dmitri and one of his masters would be the individuals looking for this pair. At least one of 'm is a robot. I wonder what happens tomorrow though. The mutterer kills John the robot. It's clear, but I wonder if the "going to bide his time" bit fror earlier is actually something gameplay related (and complicating things) or just simply flavour to bridge the earlier part to the murder part at the end. ..
-
Hmm. I'll have to go over it some more, but I really think my usual playstyle won't work as effectively as the other games I have been in / am in. I'll attempt a breakdown, but I fear my speculations will be vague at best .
-
.. If you allow me to say this: I think that role was way too powerful, even for a 1 time use. If you simply PM'd him all the info, it would already have been much better. It's too late now, but I just wanted to say I would have kept my vote on Dyson out of principle.
-
I actually have an idea what to do about that, but I'm not going to say anything . Except for that I won't be doing it for now since I'm in 2 mafia games, with probably especially jayseven's requiring my full attention . I think I'll do my experiment after my own game, I'll take a break from the mafias for a bit. Say no more, I know exactly what you mean .It doesn't matter though, I've already decided what I'm going to do regarding that. If you come up with crazy abilities, well or even if you include a lot of normal ones, balancing will probably be impossible to get exact right. My feeling is that it doesn't matter, as long as people are having fun, and it's only apparent after the end of the game if the game was unbalanced or not, and not if that's already obvious during the game. Good idea, I was already doing that except for the target. But I'll do that for the next PMs. I may even require it in my own game, if possible.
-
About when would this run? I assume after all the others in the cue?
-
I don't mind in general, but if I find myself needing a break or don't want to do more than 1 at once, I simply won't sign-up. I'd also like to know: The preferred number of mafia members for 20, 21, 22 and 23 players (as I've not finalized the final number). I've heard it should be between 25 and 33 %. I feel like I should include 1 more in mine as it is now, but balancing is I expect the hardest thing to do in such games.
-
Hmm, well, that's unfortunate, but I don't think I'll let it affect my decision.
-
I.. Will have something to work on it seems .
