You also seemed to have plans? You’re sure? But I’ll await some more reactions first, I want to know if more people are up for mnml 2: hardcore massacre. Edit: not actual title
-
I’ll add you tomorrow. What should your registration have been then? Anyway, I’ll see what cards I’m willing to donate, unless you’ve spent some considerable money yourself already . I did horribly in the prerelease Dragon’s maze draft haha. But at least I have my cutie Teysa now: But I want her on paper.. So guess I’ll be buying lots of boosters next month .

Hmm, if people are up for it, I can do my quick little game, but I’m a bit worried. It’s kinda experimental. Like I said, it’s technically not vanilla, but I think it will feel very vanilla, I was actually looking at your mnml game Yvonne. It may be the most hardcore mafia yet actually.. In fact, I’ve just begun my first mafia on that mafiascum site, in order to see what it is like. To give a hint, you probably should rely on discussion in my game. So that’s a disclaimer. That said, because it’s not vanilla, if people don’t want to take it seriously (I won’t mind), people can go berserk. I can start sign-ups later, and start tomorrow. No minimum, except for the absolute minimum of 3 (but that’s boring :P).

It seems to be post-production 3D by the way, for those who care, so I’ll be seeing this in 2D. http://realorfake3d.com/

Preferred the classic controller pro anyway .

I’ll have to wait until June. But looking forward to it!

God, missed it again. I wish Iplayer was available here.. There’s a real threat whenever they change the lead actor..

Antichamber was pretty good. I downloaded it's previous version a long time ago, forgot what the name was, but it was a UDK showcase game. So yeah, I just had to buy it when it was finally released as a full fledged game to show my support. Anyway, that was not why I logged in to post: System Shock 2 is available on Steam. Finally I get to play the inspiration for so many games.

I’m seeing the last post for the first time, but I appreciate the recommendation, it’s been on my Steam wishlist for a while, but haven't bought it so far. I’ll have to download this later. Anyway, some indie games: Contrast [Contrast official site] Should be out this month. Routine [Routine official site] No release date. Slender: the arrival [slender: the arrival official site] Out now. Sort of sequel to the original Slender, with a new team behind it and a bigger budget, but in cooperation with the creator of the original.

I tried watching that, I really did, sorry ReZ.. Well, if you’re not using it, you know what to do with it . Maybe when the next block is released, I’ll see what a real life release event is like.

It’s funny you should say that. I was going through some old comments of mine on another forum, and I used to prefer the old PS3, then later changed my mind. But I also must admit I’ve never seen the PS3 slim close up, and renders and promo shots tend to look better than the actual products anyway, so I can imagine that being the case. But it can’t be worse than its current version.

Well, I have a soft spot for most Nintendo consoles purely for all the pleasure they’ve brought me. And it depends a bit, since I hold different standards of aesthetics. I actually like the shape of the N64, but for hardware I prefer minimal design. With that in mind, and including handhelds, my top 5 would probably: Scratch that. There are various consoles and handhelds I like, and I can’t be bothered to rank them. (Hate the very concept of this, but I like the design) And the already posted Wii and GBA Micro.

Shadow of the Eternals ('Eternal Darkness 2' - Kickstarter)
Sméagol replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
After watching the trailer, the game as it currently stand, screams “is eternal darkness 2, but not actually”. I wish they distanciated themselves a bit from Eternal Darkness more. I’d prefer an Eternal Darkness sequel, or an original game, not a game that just makes me want a Eternal darkness sequel even more. -
2 of my purchases of the last few months I’m particularly pleased with:

It’s about a group of people who participate in a reality show in order to win money. However, they’re not told exactly how to win. Each contestant is put in a room which all a different element to them. To be honest, you should simply start watching it, episodes are short (averaging about 10 minutes), so you should quickly know if you’d like to see the series in its entirety. It’s incredibly low budget, but I also found it incredibly fun to watch. I personally started with episode 1: But if you want to start at the very beginning (and view all the bonus content along the way): It’s currently not finished yet. There are 12 regular episodes, and some bonus content like prologues and in-between episodes (included in the playlist above). The final episode, episode 13, is the 30 minute finale, and should be released this month. [The vault official website]

Necro bump. I’ve recently finally spent some (relatively) serious money on my Magic online account (instead of spending it on online games, sorry @%1;!), so I’ve I’ve upgraded my decks from terrible to will beat newbies. Seriously though, they’re only good for casual. I probably could’ve built a pro-deck with the money I spent, by downloading some tournement winning deck and buying those specific cards, but I like building my own decks, and buying cards I like. So yeah, I have a few expensive cards but my decks are casual. And I keep tweaking them constantly. Currently mainly playing a regular mono black deck that uses huge creatures, a monoblack you lose life / I gain life deck, and a mono black zombie deck. But I have multiple variations, and I’m trying out different decks, like a monoblack discard deck, but that one’s not working very well.. In a few days the Dragon Maze pre-release will start, I intend to do at least a draft. Don’t know if I’ll be spending much more money, as I have some orders lined up, but I have plenty of cards on my wishlist, which cost quite some money like this old one: (currently 17 dollars a piece) And a recent one: (currently 16 dollars). Maybe next month Anyway, anyone here playing MTGO (i.e. the official digital Magic, not some 3rd party client)?

I backed this project 2 months ago: The kickstarter was quite succesful. But eventhough the Kickstarter is over, you can still pledge at the official site: http://redthreadgames.com/chapters I’ve pledged just enough for the cheapest physical copy, but I intend to up my pledge when I have extra money available. The game is slated (for now) for November 2014. I’m sure there are more people interested in the game here, as it was here where I was convinced to get the first 2 games in the first place.

Shadow of the Eternals ('Eternal Darkness 2' - Kickstarter)
Sméagol replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, I don’t like how he does business, but Eternal Darkness was one of my favourite games on the GameCube. I’ll look forward to that kickstarter then, it may be the 2nd kickstarter project I’ll back. That said, I’d prefer an actual sequel. I think. -
OH I’LL HYPE YA ALRIGHT. I’m doing a marathon with a friend saturday (after watching Oblivion). Was planned for earlier, but lazy . But anyway, yeah, I watch very few series (I don’t download any, and I rarely buy anything on blu-ray), but I’d like to think I’m usually aware of what’s good. Received Game of thrones season 2 some time ago, and I’ll be pre-ordering Orphan black. But those 4 episodes of Les Revenants had me even more excited than Game of thrones yeah! Your post about Les revenants was the reason I just had to go out of lurking state. I’d like to congratulate you all on getting such a wonderful series on TV. Remind me before it will be shown, I’ll do a proper thread for it, it deserves it. Oh, and godly redhead to the left? She’s from the show. (although I might temporarily change my avatar).
-
I’m planning a normal game, but that’ll be a while. In the meanwhile, I have an interim game, which I suspect will be incredibly fast paced. It’s meant as a snack between normal games. It’s not vanilla, but it’s extremely simple. As a result, it’s incredibly easy for me to organise, and therefore, ready to go. If you want me to do a quick game between normal games, let me know.
-
And let me confirm for you that Les Revenants is indeed fantastic. It was the best thing I’ve seen at the IFFR a few months ago. So, a TV series was the best thing I’ve seen at a film festival. Although they’ve only shown the first 4 episodes, and I’ve yet to add the fansubs to the boxset I've lying around here. Soundtrack is awesome as well. Oh, and 2nd season is scheduled for 2014.

Except for camera shyness, which is why I’d rather be the host . But there are at least a few of you who don’t have those problems, and I thought it would be fun to watch. I’d keep the mechanics simple though.. I’ll keep the other mechanics for other games.
