See, but that´s where you´re wrong. The versions will be generally the same. If you´re lucky, it is heavily improved. Only the studios with an actual PC background will go to such lengths. Generally it will only be slightly improved (i.e. a hi-res texture pack) or simply optimised. In some cases, when it´s a bad port, it will actually look and/or play worse. It´s sheer horse power that makes the PC version superior, higher resolutions, better AA, greater draw distance etc.. Those are things that scale depending on your hardware. Well, I belong to the minority who doesn´t care for discounts. Luckily I´m also incredibly patient. If I can´t afford something right now, I´ll wait. That it happens to be discounted by the time I can afford it, is just a bonus. If I can afford something right now, I´ll happily pay full retail price for it. The original game once had a full price as well (and in the case of Tomb Raider on Steam, still has actually).

Well obviously I agree that a PC version is usually better in most regards, but again, the PC can´t magically make up things that aren´t there. To give a stupid comparison, let´s pretend the original Star Wars trilogy is released in it´s special edition form, on DVD. The blu-ray will only get the trilogy in its original form (I wish). For the sake of argument, let´s pretend the special edition is the superior version. Blu-ray is the better media, but you´re stuck with the old version.. The blu-ray can´t show improved special effects that aren´t there. To give a closer analogy, let´s pretend Black Mesa gets a release on PS4 and Xbox 1, but not on PC. You´d still argue Half-Life is the definitive version? Now the difference between Tomb Raider original and Tomb Raider definitve may not be as big as that last example, but there´s a difference nonetheless, and for someone who doesn´t own the game yet, that´s the version I´d like to get.
-
No reason why the definitive version couldn´t be on sale. In fact, Square Enix often has some good deals I believe, independent from Steam sales. Looking at their site, I see Hitman absolution for € 5,-.
-
I prefer Sophia Myles to be honest.
-
Yeah but you see, if they release the definitve version on PC, you can have it all! Improved models and higher FPS and resolutions! Win win!
-
Yeah but greater resolutions won´t magically improve your models. And perhaps you´re right, maybe it doesn´t justify a re-release in itself, but for someone who doesn´t own the game yet, it´s obviously the version to get. At least, if they´ll release it. There is also no reason why they can´t offer the definitive version for a reasonable upgrade price to people who already own the game. I already owned Deus Ex human revolution, but I bought the upgrade to the director´s cut for 4 euros a few days ago. Both Square Enix, so this idea isn´t that farfetched actually.

Ehm yeah, well if you were town you´d actually know where to go next now wouldn´t you?
-
One person less to focus on in that vote list .
-
No one's goading me to do anything. And like I´ve said, I´ve given you a definitive list you can focus on. Don´t deny that´s not helpful.
-
I looooove to be proven right. So me voting myself facilitates that . Also, with most investigators gone, and people having nothing to go on, I just helped by giving you a vote list. I basically just handed you a mafia member right there.
-
Ehm, I´m skimming the patch notes, and I see no mention of improved models. And they´re constantly mentioning the improved models are a feature of the definitive version, so I have no idea what you´re talking about.
-
Haha.. That´s kinda tactless.. Well good luck tomorrow.

That´s not what he´s going to do with it, unless that happens to be his main ability.
-
###### Yes, ReZ gives you a PM, there´s no in-thread confirmation.
-
It´s not trust. I don´t know whether he's town or not. However, I have nothing to believe he isn´t either. I simply gave him a suggestion, and it´s up to him to use it or not. Since Cube isn´t under scrutiny at the moment, I don't feel the need to reveal his info, how insignificant that may be, so I´ll leave that up to him.
-
Like I said, I only have one result, as I´ve only send in 2 targets and I was roleblocked the last time. And my results won´t reveal alignments. I will defer to @Cube to reveal (or not reveal) what I found out, but it´s not going to bring you any closer to finding mafia.

That scene in Thor where Odin mentions something along the lines of that there are other women deserving his attention.. I was like "yeah Thor, you fucking idiot".
-
Ok, I´m far from important, I´m an item investigator. @Rummy What I don´t get is why you find someone being cryptic so suspicious? Surely you have witnessed other townies posting hints about their roles? Furthermore, it was obvious my posts wasn´t cryptic to the person it was addressed to. Blurting out all the info I had didn´t do me any good last game, so I´m keeping quiet once again, like I used to. Anyway, I´ll give you one last chance to not make a mistake, I suggest you focus on someone else. vote: Sméagol

Best series EVER (haven´t watched it yet).
-
I merely gave him a suggestion.
-
If there are other people who are inclined to follow that wagon, know that you´ll not get anything interesting from me. The only thing I can reveal is my role, which will verify what I did night 1, but nothing more. So if you´re voting for me, you´re basically only voting for me because you don´t believe I didn´t send a target in on night 3 and 4. Which is fine, but I don´t have anything further to add to that..
-
Well, I was roleblocked. Before you jump to any conclusions, make sure you find out who else was roleblocked.
-
It´s annoying because I wanted to get Tomb raider (for PC) eventually, but this definitive version makes me reconsider. I don't now if I should get it, or wait until they change their minds and do release a PC version. Tomb raider was already looking good, but that definitive version is definitely looking better.
-
It´s looking good! I think I´ll pre-order it. A shame I wasn´t involved in the Kickstarter.. I assume there´s no regular retail version planned? Also was it intended to be released in 2 parts, or was it just to give the backers something concrete to show how much work they´ve put in or something?

I´m not so sure..
