  1. It'll be a few days before I can see how much hours I've put in.. Having finished the main quest now, I can say I would have liked more content, in the form of more areas, but especially more bosses. I still think it's easily worth the money though, the time I had with it has been incredible fun. The sense of progression is definitely up to par with Metroid. You start with simple digging and running, then you're zipping everywhere with your hookshot, until you just end up flying everywhere. One thing I miss though is an easier way to dig upwards. Blocks above you remain the same obstacle at the end of the game as they were at the start; Which becomes a problem with the final boss, who'd not be that hard actually, if it weren't for that fact. I have some secrets left to find though. One tip: there's an upgrade which easily let you see secrets. Don't use it. I activated it, and instantly regretted it. Finding the secrets is yourself is more satisfying, and most have plenty of hints anyway.
  2. To be honest, the trailer was all that was needed to convince me, but the details make it sound even more amazing. The way when you die, you become your own enemy. Not unlike Zombie for the WiiU, except with all your skill upgrades. I suspect it'll feel like everytime you die, you spawn an SA-X. <sigh>
  3. This game sounds awesome: http://nintendoeverything.com/the-mummy-demastered-details/ Instant pre-order.
  4. I agree with @Rick
  5. Yeah so I intended to post a big list, but this list got too big and I can't be arsed. I'm going to watch Star Trek instead. I was thinking of doing a similar thread at the end of the year though. A Switch 2017 year in review kind of thread. Edit: 25% off right now.
  6. I didn't see a thread for this yet. I don't want to make a big post about it at this point, I haven't played too much of it so far, but I'm loving it. I love the style, the ambient music, and there are loads of secrets too find, and skills to upgrade. I love the challenges in the caves. They all have some basic challenge which rewards you with an upgrade cog, but there's usually more stuff hidden there that's harder to get. Controls are great too (well, if it weren't for the crappy D-pad, I really have to contact support soon), I love travelling wih the hookshot. I do think I'd have liked to see more bosses in it, and there are loads of references to past events which I don't get (I assume there are references to the first game and the other game perhaps). I highly recommend this even after a few hours of play.
  7. Being a P&C adventure, how are the Switch controls?
  8. You don't have to assume everyone will know what an icon is, but you can assume the one who bought the game knows what the icon is. And the 3 of the 4 shown above are far from vague. Plus the title is shown above. The only one I find too minimal (as far as I'm aware) is Lego Worlds
  9. I love the minimal icons..
  10. Good ;).
  11. I may get it, but it won't be a priority, I'll probably save it for next year. I already bought the DLC.
  12. PuyoPuyo Tetris is having another sale (20%).
  13. It confused me because I thought Fortnite was a completely different game. And it is. So it's just that particular mode that's a rip-off.
  14. That sounds appropriate for a Game of Thrones episode.
  15. Sounds good, let me know when you're done. I'm being serious.
  16. Wait for Amazon to release the rest, start a free trial, and cancel it after your done. That's what I did with The man in the high castle.
  17. It's not coming to Netflix.
  18. It doesn't seem that questionable.. The story goes nintendo asked several developers to create a Golf game. All refused because they didn't think they could fit a Golf game on the availabe memory. Satoru Iwata was the one who stepped up to the task, and had to create a compression algorithm to fit everything on the cartridge. That's what I've read anyway.
  19. It was fun, though not perfect, and definitely not scary, though that could be because I've seen the older miniseries a long time ago. Also if they don't cast Amy Adams in the sequel, I'll be very disappointed. Don't think it'll be good, but hopefully it'll be fun. I'll go watch it for Alicia Vikander at the very least. Didn't know they'd actually use the first game of the new series as the inspiration.
  20. One of the many games on my Steam wishlist (and Steam says this game is "relevant" to me). May go for it.
  21. Oh crap, ehh, I forgot.. I'm not home Thursday evening. There's a Japanese film festival in Rotterdam, I'll be practically living there for 4 days.. Sorry for not realising and mentioning this sooner @Glen-i! If you could move my GP to next week, I'd love that, otherwise, have fun on the N64 tracks without me.
  22. Let me know when when you want to make another attempt at meeting up. I'm definitely online Monday and Thursday evening (Thursday after the Mario Kart league). Tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday I'm probably watching films.
  23. I had too much pizza. But I'm ready. But I can't communicate tonight after I boot up my Switch (I use my mom's Ipad, as my phone's too old and can't display this site). So you need to tell me what we'll be doing before I turn off my computer.
  24. I.. still have some other pizzas I need to heat up and eat.. So I'll get back to you ;). Any mode is fine by the way.
