  1. Ok, so here's how it will go. One person will reply to the five words in the previous persons post including them in their own short story, which should be around a hundred words. Make the story as funny / disgusting / dark or as light hearted as you desire. Please only one reply per set of Five words, or this could get messy! The next poster will make a short story with my Five words, then think of 5 words and post them. Have fun! Lion, Blowdry, Postbox, Nipple, Afternoon. ________ Vermont marijuana dispensary

  5. I agree with everything you have just said, especially It's dog eat dog. Be the big bastard dog. He gets the bone. I agree sometimes it's hard to big yourself up, but in such a competitive industry its a must! My girlfriend gets really mad when I say to her, I'm doing my CV again. This usually is just tweaking it to the specific job that I'm applying for, yet she doesn't she why it's nessercary. ________ ZOLOFT SICKNESS

  7. Yeh tbh its an absolute nightmare finding a job in the media, everything petty much requires you to have experience. Which is almost impossible to get in a small shitty town. I can can't afford to move away and get experience without having a full time job to pay rent. So im kinda in a catch 22 situation, yet im getting a fair bit of freelance work (although its in design) im sure that will help, kinda, maybe. God im dooooooomed! ________ Best Replay Starcraft 2

  10. At the minute I'm applying for loads of jobs. So i just thought people could post their CV's / Resum?s and we could compare and give feedback. I've quickly knocked this one up for a job I will be applying for. It's a little busier than I would of liked, it's hard getting the right balance so it's not to busy on the eyes, but still has enough information. ________ SexualControl

  12. Yes, lets get this show on the road! ________ Brunette Pornstar
  13. I watched it last night as well and I must say I wasn't expecting much at all, there were a few parts of the film that were frustrating and the ending was weak, the the atmosphere and the pace of the film was perfect for me. I made a change seeing a film that didn't drag on (even though it was slow paced) and a load of content wasn't pushed into the 100 minutes it lasted. I Am Legend - 8.5 / 10
  14. Porn belongs on the internet now. It doesn't matter which format they choose. EDIT. - Just noticed C-Dawg got there before me. I don't own a HDTV yet, and thats partly because I'm still sat on the fence with which format to buy. It's pointless having a HDTV and nothing HD to plug in the beast. Apart from the 360, which tbh looks fine on my TV.
  15. £3.97 @ Amazon and Play. I don't buy a million DVD's and wouldn't mind spending £20 on a HD film, as long as i knew it wasn't going to be obsolete in a few years time when the format dies.
  16. High Definition War HD-DVD V.S BLU-RAY What are your opinions of this format war? Which side do you bat for? Will there be a winner, or will the two formats co-exist? Have you have experience with both formats, does one have an advantage over the other? If you were going to invest in one format, which would you put your money on the line for? Personally I would like HD-DVD to step up and take the lead. The standalone players are cheaper than their rivals, the format is region free (which means cheaper imports). Although I have a gut feeling if one was to win it would be Blu-Ray far more people seem to ask for Blu-ray over HD-DVD where I work and there appears to be far more Blu-ray exclusives. And I believe the consumers will go where the content is, if people have to pay an extra £50 to buy a Blu-ray player in order to watch Disney/Fox etc. films then its a small price to pay to ensure you can watch Die Hard in HD. I think this whole war would have been a one horse race if it weren't for the PS3, but the PS3 has already put millions of Blu-ray players into homes. The pricing of HD-DVD is extremely competitive, I ventured to Tesco's last night and noticed they were selling a HD-DVD player for £200 which outputs at the full 1080p. I turns out its a little cheaper over at Amazon, and the includes 300 and one film from the Bourne Trilogy + you get the 5 free HD-DVD. So thats £190 inc 7 films thats a bargin. Downloadable HD content is years off, fair enough the 360 provides that service, but thats no where near mainstream, so lets try and steer clear of the downloadable HD will win arguments. What your view on the Format War?
  17. OMG I'm not the only one! I've hated this Christmas so much, purely because of the amount of time I've spent at work. 95% of the public is a retarded, 3% are looking for a fight and 2% are absolute gems which made the whole job worth doing. At work, when we have sold the last item (e.g. CoD4 360) we still leave the display cases out on the shelf, but place a piece of colored plastic over the price on the actual shelf edge. This says "Sold Out, but order me for free delivery". I will admit they aren't most noticeable signs ever but if you take a look at the price you will notice them. Yet of course with 95% of the public being retards, they still bring the item up to the tills. Then I inform them that it is out of stock and it has a sign saying so. "Why have you got the cases out there then?" "Thats because we can order you the item", then they argue back ranting and raving. Once you've said that 100 times in a day I want to grow horns and physically beat the smug customers within 1 inch of their life. I remember asking a kid if he had any form of ID's (he was buying a 15 and he looked about 12) He didn't have any ID and seemed incredibly shy and I refused him the sale, but said if you've got a parent who can buy it for you thats fine. 30 minutes before close, I notice the lad walking towards the counter with his mum. To her disgust, she had to come in to buy her son the DVD. Whilst I was serving her she started to have a massive go. "How dare you ID my son?" "He's got growing difficulties, He's at the hospital quite often" I just said sorry it's the law I wouldn't want to be fined a few thousand for selling a DVD to someone who was the right age. To which she got even more wound up. "HE IS FIFTEEN, DO YOU THINK I'D LET HIM COME IN AND BUY A DVD IF IT WAS TOO OLD FOR HIM!" I said a few kids do try and push their luck, again this wound her up even more, any way the manager came over and took over, and still couldn't talk sense into the thick dumb bitch. There are many many more things that irritate me, but if I went into them all, i probably would end up killing my self. I FUCKING HATE RETAIL P.S. Have you got any Wii's in stock? 22. I was looking for accommodation for my first year at uni, so I posted for a housemate on Student Pad. A guy replied who was in the same situation as me and doing the same course as me. We agreed to meet up in Lincoln and go look round a few houses. As for the meet, I didn't know what he looked like it was just a case of meet outside uni, at 10:30. I got there early and then noticed a guy walking and looking around, then stopped and pulled his mobile out and started texting. I walked over and said "Hi are you Luke?" and it was phew, I could of looked a right plonker! Any way we looked around a few houses and killed sum time in the town centre, and got on ok. We lived together for all the three years of Uni, and got on absolutly great, same sense of humor, same way of thinking. Even now after we've finished uni, we still keep in touch almost on a daily basis, and do design work together. And if all goes to plan, we will be starting our own company up in the new year. I had a positive experience from meeting someone off the internet, and he has grown to be a best friend. Would I ever do it again? Probably not. ________ Csi: Miami Forums

  24. No body is going to say piracy is right. Yet I probably wouldn't have the degree I have now if it wasn't for having the software to work on. And I'd like you to know the "I can't afford it, I'm a student, I have no money" I've been there which im sure the majority of people have and it's true. Yes Uni provide access to the required software, yet the access is extremely limited. At times the only way to get work done, was to do it at home. So yes I downloaded software, and deep down I know its wrong, but it was either that or constantly rely on extensions and get stressed over work piling up. In order to complete my course I need access to Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Indesign, Maya, Pinnacle, and a few others. Now im sorry if it offends you that I never bought any of this software, but even if i bought the student editions of these programs if would amount to thousands. And having an income of ?5000 a year and the majority of that going on rent, there was no possible way I could afford this software. ________ VAPORIZER
