I think I'll head to a midnight launch tonight. I have an exam tomorrow so I probably won't get to play it until tomorrow night, so fuck knows why I'm going out in the cold at midnight to get a copy.

Half Life 2's story is the ultimate example of why video games can be a better canvas for plot and character development than film imo. It's a shame that for every Alyx and Eli there's a Master Chief and a Marcus Fenix.

Halo has a cliched, shitty plot to go with a cliched, shitty game. The Sonic Adventure plot lines are truly horrific. The only plot Sonic needs is 'There's Robotnik, go get him!'. Adventure 2 might as well of had Linkin Park on the soundtrack.

You'd best be kidding. 2004 was a great year (mainly because of Half Life 2), but the sheer number of amazing games make 05 the better year by far imo. 04 probably deserves a place in the top ten as well though. -

Ookiku Furikabutte is just so awesome. Baseball may be the most boring sport ever made (and this is coming from someone who watches golf for hours at a time) but I haven't been so taken by a cast since Azumanga Daioh. Shame there are almost no seeders and it's taken me weeks to get 3/4 of the series. Give me a DVD release dammit.

Yeah I do. Except for 1983 it's an excellent list. I love how in the video they skip out Sunshine in the Mario montage near the start. -

A thousand times scarier than any other film I've seen. I normally take horror films in my stride, but I couldn't sleep because of this fucker. It's not jump out of your seat scary, it gets into your head and slowly it creeps you out until you're a wreck by the end of the film. Twin Peaks got me at times as well. Bloody David Lynch.

Just finished Bully. I know there's no point in anyone getting it on the weekend before GTA 4, but it's well worth picking up during the summer drought. The characters and plot were incredibly endearing, and more importantly, the game was a hell of a lot of fun. It's more No More Heroes than GTA. Worth a solid 8/10 imo.
