Good point that. The wireless adapter for the 360 is an excessive £60!
-
And we probably never will. The tilt sensor uses mercury in it (I think) and because of EU rules it's illegal. I doubt Nintendo are going to bother coming up with a new tilt sensor for one game.
-
Another good point is IIRC the Core Xbox doesn't come with an HD cable so your stuck with SD graphics. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong)

There's somewhat of a distrubing resemblance between these release dates and the DS ones. DS: 21st November US 2nd December JAP 11th March EU Wii: 19th Novemeber US 2nd December JAP
-
Release date and price for Japan: December 2nd, 25000 Yen
-
It's 1000 Yen
-
Cool. 500 Yen is a bit over £2. Hopefully it won't be too different in the UK.

Your current "I need to get back to" List

Finally someone else prefers the first one I actually found Pikmin 2 really easy, the caves were difficult at times but you just go back up and grow some more pikmin. There was no need to get it right first time. -
Your current "I need to get back to" List

I've been going through all my games to try and finish them off. Resi Evil - It's just so antiquated next to Resi 4 NFSU2 - Nearly finished that, good for a laugh occasionaly Killer 7 - I'm only on the 3rd level I think 1080 - Played it once PoP:WW - Kind of lost as to where I am in that Metroid Prime - Am on the Metorid Prime but can't seem to complete it. Viewtiful Joe - I'm up to the shark boss DK Jungle Beat - I think I'm about half way through that I have finished off a few games recently. I did Starfox assault in a few days from level 2 and started playing Luigis Mansion and finished it over the weekend. I've also got Metroid Prime 2 to start when I've finished the first one. The there's all the DS games and my two GBA that need completing. My Gamecubes certainly got a lot of life left in it before the Wii comes out. -
The final boss in Paper Mario 2. It was ridiculously difficulte compared to the rest of the game. I must have played it for hours and I only won because I got lucky with the fruit machine thingy. What irritated me the most was going through all the cut scenes and talking to get to the final fight and you could never skip it. It took a good 30mins each try.

It depends on your monitor. If it takes an S-video input etc then thats the easiest way to do it. Else you will need a vga adapter and AFAIK they don't come especially cheap.

MA GITS: Played the first level, it made me feel sick, not played it since. Doshin the Giant: It's so slow to move around. I've only played 5 minuted because I couldn't be bothered. Star Fox Assault: No gameplay. A chore to play more than anything else. If we're counting other systems then Yoshis Touch and Go: Gets boring after about 5 minutes because you've done everything there is to do.

Umm, yes it will. Obviously I don't want to put a GC disc in it. But if I find an 8cm CD I will give it a go. Edit: Right I just tried it with a gamecube disc. It works exactly the same as putting a full size disc in. You simply push it into the middle and it goes in. If you push it in at the edge it wouldn't do anything. Got a crappy video of it here So there you have it. Nintendo's stuff about it being the first slot loading disc to accept both disc sizes is rubbish.
-
Meh, I don't see whats so amazing about putting a gamecube disc in. My CD play in my car is slot loading and takes gamecube sized discs. I've not tried putting a small disc in but I imagine it will just push it into the middle.

It's not possible to convert the price of consoles, games or anything by using the currency rate. Things just don't work that way. For instance in the US all prices are without tax. In the UK if it says £50 that is how much you pay and it includes 17.5% VAT. However in America when it says $50 you then have to pay the tax for that state on top of that price. There's also market demand and competition, the economy, distribution, taxes etc that all go into it. You just have to accept that things cost different amounts depending on where you buy them.
-
I don't see why not. Japan has a similar stars system. There's nothing to stop Nintendo making the whole system universal and taking it to America as well. They certainly won't lose money on each game they give away, except maybe a slight extra bit of bandwidth on there servers.

The Wii is having a USB->Lan adapter for those without WiFi at home. But for the DS, it would seem rather pointless having a portable system that plugs into a network cable. Edit: Oh and it doesn't say there won't be just one friend code. I agree having multiple ones is irritating so I hope it's not like that.
-
Exactly what I was thinking! Some others are: XIII, Beyond Good and Evil, PoP.

Nintendork. You state everything like fact when it's pure speculation. What's to say that you don't open up the flap, insert the dongle or whatever it is and then close it again? Thus preserving the sleek design. I'm not saying that's what it will be like, but it is an option. No-one but Nintendo knows for sure so you can't say it definately will or won't be there.
-
Get both. 1 has better single player. 2 has better multiplayer.
-
I much prefered the first one. The underground bits in the second one were too long and boring. The first one had challenge to it. The second one was ridiculously easy because of the lack of a time limit. They're both very good though, so get both if you can.

I don't know where the whole "worlds first slot loading drive to take different sizes of discs" came from. My stereo in my card is slot loading and can take either size
