  1. Mmmm, can't wait for this. The first one was great but being based on the OT it's bound to be better
  2. You could take out the HDD and copy all the data onto a computer. You just need an adapter for Laptop to normal IDE.
  3. Seen it before but it's still some amazing stuff. I wonder how much they must have played to find all of those glitches.
  4. I liked it. It wasn't up to Goldeneye's standards but its was still a fairly solid game all round and a good Bond game too.
  5. They had one in Luton months ago. I think it was during the summer if not earlier. It's great fun, much better than double dash.
  6. Nope, it's Windows Mobile 5.
  7. tbh, the first two are bloody awful. There idea of a mod is a quick paint job, a window, change a few LEDs and plug in a normall HDD into a USB adapter. Wow!! At least the last one had a bit of originality.
  8. Got an XDA Mini S recently. Pocket PC with WM5, slide out qwerty keyboard, wifi, 1.3mp camera. It's brill!
  9. Really depends what kind of films you enjoy but here are some of my faves. Star Wars - The original trilogy. My fave films ever, just amazing stuff. Terminator 2. Probably the greatest action film ever. Leon. A great action film with a great story. Das Boot. A very good war film, not some gung ho American drivel. Team America. Fucking hilarious. Has me in fits of laughter everytime I see it.
  10. I hope everyone's okay. I live around 5 miles from there and we could feel it quite strong.
  11. If those are the specs of a cell CPU they're rubbish. Who cares about multicore cpus etc when it's got a frankly laughable 512kb of L2 cache shared between all of them.
  12. It can't be that little. Hell, with all there graphics and transitions it must be using more, plus it loads up instantly. This thread makes me laugh though, all these bollocks comparisons seem to be plucked from thin air. Rev's graphics compared to a PS2 and a 64. And what's the big deal with HD. It's crappy, a PC game gives far better resolutions. This isn't new technology, it's old technology used a bit differently. The whole HD thing is blown out of proportion. Proper HDTV's need a decoder because in the future you will be able to encode media to only work on an HDTV. What's to say Nintendo aren't going to by-pass this whilst still allowing high resolution gaming like you get with a PC. Hahahaha. Come off it, it's quite obviously a pre-rendered video.
  13. The Xbox is nothing liek that poweful. If you were to run some benchmarks do you seriosuly think it would get scores 10-12x better than before. A simple benchmark like Super Pi will show you that processors have barely got 2x faster in the same time span. As for comparing a PC to a console. They are somewhat different. A PC needs to be running background software while a console doesn't. They are less specialised and need to take a lot of differently coded things. A game for a console uses the hardware far more efficiently and won't need the extra leg room. 4 times the amount of RAM does not equal 4 times the power. If it is high latency it won't matter how much of it you have. Even if they were the same speed the performance is exponential. The greater the amount of RAM the less performance increase you get. And don't forget the Xbox is running it's background software all the time. Judging by how much RAM windows uses how much of the Xbox RAM is being used just for that. Textures won't need to be reduced by 4 because that's not all of what the RAM is needed for and in the Rev's case there will probably be more free. You don't know what kind of compression they will be using either. An efficiently compressed small texture could look better than an uncompressed large one. I'm not saying the Rev will be a powerhose but all this comparing things in terms of number of times more powerful is complete bullshit. You could never accurately work that out because of all the variables. You need to break it down into different parts and even then you don't get a very clear picture.
  14. 2-3 times more poweful than a Gamecube is much more powerful than many of you realise. The Xbox 360 isn't even twice as powerful as an Xbox if you ask me. And what difference will a little less RAM make. The RAM will be used for loading textures and since the textures will smaller it's not a problem. Plus there's the speed of the RAM, the latency. MB tells nothig of performance.
  15. I like my steak medium usually but it's always different. I'm quite fussy and it's not often I have a steak that I really enjoy. As for the whole vegetarian arguement. It's a personal choice and I wouldn't judge anyone for it. Having said that, humans are omnivores. Our entire bodies are geared to eating a combination of both meat and vegetables. We aren't meant to eat one or the other. That's the reason that someone who only eats meat is going to get ill from say a lack of vitamin and vegetarians can get ill from not eating any protien.
  16. Metal Arms gives me terrible motion sickness. I managed to play the first level and haven't played it since. I couldn't get into Metroid the first time I played it, but when I did get into it I loved it. I still need to finish that at some point. I'm up to the final boss.
  17. Well it's not got anything to do with the Revo. Infact the word document was dated August 2004!
  18. Seriously, it is just a fans concept for a game. Has anyone downloaded the dodgy word document with a whole story line to it.
  19. I think we need to wait and see about the whole HD thing. The console will be more than powerful enough to output to HD resolutions. Whether or not it will be a certified HD decoder that can play encrypted HD media is another thing.
  20. Did anyone actually read the website. All it is is a fans idea for a modern version of the classic Atari game "River Raid" It's not being made by any developer. All it is is an idea and a few mock up pictures of what they imagine it could look like.
  21. I'm confident Nintendo can produce and sell the Revolution at a better price. I was looking at 360 accessories and saw the wireless adapter was £60! The DS has a much smaller wireless adapter built in and in total it only costs £90.
  22. Darv

    Killzone 2

Even if it is the in-game engine, but it's still a staged video. It shows exactly what they want it to show. It simply won't look as good when you actually play it.
  23. Another vote for Monkey Ball! Wario Ware is very good too.
  24. TBH Mario Kart is the first of many online games to come. You all expect too much if you want their first attempt to be perfect. I can see their wifi connection maturing and growing as it get's older, it's not even out yet and you are complaining.
  25. Hmm, some interesting stuff, but the whole slot disc being able to handle two formats is nothing new. Not if he's talk about the size of the discs because my CD player in my car will do small discs as well as the normal sized ones.
