Ugh... Nintendo, I'd like to request a refund for the Fighters Pass.
-
Should be ok.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread
RedShell replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Sounds like a plan. We might even have a new character to test! -
That make sense I guess. Doesn’t really encourage me though, as I tend to do better with the rental teams anyway! Don’t really have my specific team ready for that yet, but if you don’t mind facing a team that’s potentially outside of the competition ruleset then I’m up for that. Just keep in mind that it probably won’t be much of a test. I won’t be offended if you’d rather wait for a challenge from a competent Pokémon trainer instead.
-
That would be nice. As long as it’s NOT a Fire Emblem character.
-
Could’ve just been luck too (quite a lot of this game is IMO) but funnily enough I actually did manage see off at least a couple of Tyranitar with the tough hippo team as well. Anyway, something interesting about the in-game rental teams is that absolutely none of the Pokémon on them have a beneficial nature. Looking at the stats they all appear to be EV trained in the standard way, but every single one of them has a neutral nature. Wonder what’s up with that?
-
The evolved version of that, yeah.
-
I finally made it back to Great Ball rank on single battles. And I owe it all to the tough rental team, specifically that sandstorm hippo thing. Man, that Pokémon is nuts! Seems to be a good counter to a lot of the popular choices in singles too. Think I’m going to have to try and catch/breed one of those for my own team soon.
-
I do indeed. And yeah, those sections are evil! Not that I know of. It’s seriously strange how I’m still able to send gifts though. Anyway, I think re-adding each other on the Switch is a good idea, hopefully that’ll sort it.
-
That actually sounds awesome. Great idea. And how’s this for an out-there addition?... Imagine if the hunter/felyne were just in some random armour by default, but if you had MHGU save data on your Switch, it’d pull the setup from there! You’d be able to fight as Dino Chav!

Ok, let me know the code when you’re ready. *EDIT* Offline for a bit now, will be back at around 8.

Smash Bros Switch Roster Prediction Competition
RedShell replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Pre-Character reveal bump. What’s going on with Sakurai’s hand gesture? 3 fingers, hmm?... Imagine if the final spot in the Fighters Pass was actually 3 different characters! Any 3 of these please, Sakurai: -
Indeed. Reckon the hunters are a bit too generic for a Smash character though, but they could easily solve that problem by using a Felyne instead!
-
I should be able to help out with that later on today, sometime between 6-10pm.
-
Brilliant, thanks man.
-
Nice one! Let me know when’s a good time for you to trade.
-
Cheers. Unfortunately it’s one of those things you hate in games, a random event. It’s sold by one of the traders in the wild area, and if it’s anything like the Shield equivalent it’ll be pretty rare too. I had to keep checking every day for quite a while before he was selling any in my game.

Just bringing this over to the new page: Someone please help, Must... complete... Curry Dex.

While I definitely do realise that, I still play Mario Kart Tour on pretty much a daily basis, and I hold it responsible for my declining performance in the league. Have picked up some really bad (not to mention stupid) habits from that game, like thinking item boxes that aren’t actually there will still give me an item, or that every race track has an invisible barrier. I want to stop playing it, but they keep bringing back retro tracks and I just can’t resist. Anyway, congrats to all the winners and everyone involved with this league, it’s so great that this is still going strong after all this time. Here’s to another fun year of N-E Mario Kart shenanigans!

You are not alone. I actually seem to be getting worse too, can’t even get out of Poké Ball tier this season! I’ve switched back to using some of the rental teams now as I tend do a bit better (or just have more luck) when using them. I’d recommend trying that for a while if you’re really struggling with your own Pokémon teams. Yeah, I pretty much never use status moves as it usually backfires and then feels like I just wasted an opportunity to attack (or defend), which would’ve been more beneficial. Am always impressed (and annoyed ) by how some people are able to incorporate them so well, but strategy and tactics have never been my strong point. And with the sheer amount of variables in Pokémon now, it’s basically mission impossible for someone with my attention span/memory to be good at the game anyway. I still enjoy it though, so it’s all good.
-
Ow, my freakin ears! Had to mute that video instantly. Horrific.
-
That’s strange. You definitely appear in my game. I sent you some EXP a while back actually, did you not receive it then? I took quite a long break from this over Christmas, have been gradually getting back into it, but think I need to lower the difficulty some more or do some grinding to level up, as the boss I’m currently up to is proving too tough to take down. Anyway, nice to hear you’re enjoying it. I’ll try and check later on today to see if I’ve received anything and to send some more EXP your way.

Ah, I see. I’ve clearly been going about it all wrong then, I think I was expecting Pokémon Rumble style gameplay or something. Will see if I can be tactical (probably not ) next time I play it.

I was pretty surprised by how good this Direct ended up being. The Sword and Shield DLC looks/sounds fantastic! Although I’m actually kinda disappointed there was nothing about Pokémon Sleep.
